Jug is a great way to save money and the environment
This product is amazing. It filters my tap water and makes it taste like bottled water. It has a 5-gallon capacity and fits most standard coolers to dispense hot or cold water. It has a 5-stage filtration system that removes virtually all dissolved solids, including lead, chromium, and PFOA/PFOS. It comes with a free TDS meter that measures the purity of the water. The ZeroWater ZJ-004S, Refillable Filtered Water Cooler Jug is a great way to save money and the environment. I don't have to buy or store plastic bottles anymore. I just fill the jug with tap water and let it filter. I can enjoy pure and refreshing water anytime I want. The only problem is that sometimes I get too addicted to drinking water. It's so delicious and satisfying that I can't stop myself from drinking it. I drink it all day and all night. I even drink it when I'm not thirsty, just for the fun of it. But hey, maybe that's not a bad thing. Maybe I need to be more hydrated and healthy. Maybe I need some fun and excitement in my life. Maybe this jug is the best thing that ever happened to me. If you're looking for a way to improve your water quality and convenience, you should definitely try the ZeroWater ZJ-004S, Refillable Filtered Water Cooler Jug. Great concept, great value, work well if you follow directions
This is great, and works as advertised. With modern coolers, you need to remove the plush guard, and bottle nozzles so that all your left with is the open reservoir. The only big design flaw it has, is the valve on the bottom is closed by an open cup. It’s has stuck open on me once, and if it does, it will overfill and overflow. They need to put more effort into that valve, but if you keep an eye on it, it works fine. I’m seriously happy with how much money and effort I’m saving. I have mine right next to the front door, so I just grab the garden hose, run water through it, and pull it in to fill the reservoir Lol

Fabulous!!!
This product works so well on my water cooler. My husband & I no longer need to have Primo Water deliver the 5 gallon bottles. That was costing us over $80 dollars per month. Now we just change the 2 filters every 2 months which costs less than $20 for the 2 …. So about $10 per month. Quite a savings & the water tastes wonderful … better that Hinckley Springs.

No more paying for 5 gallon bottled water
I wanted to utilize this product for a few months to give an objective review. The ZeroWater ZJ-004S came with all parts needed to install on our existing glass water crock and took 15 mins of set-up. No leaks or problems with fit/form, easy to follow instructions. It is more cost-effective than paying $6.00 a bottle for 10 5-gallon jugs a month. After researching different products on the market, I settled on the ZeroWater since it is the only one with the claim and proof to remove heavy metals from the water. I wish I had known about this system seven years ago, and I will purchase another for the office. Again I have had Zero problems with this product, and it does what it advertises.

Zero water is the best!
I had a problem with small leaks around the area where the filters screw to the top storage container. I called Zero who sent me a whole other unit. This one had a gasket that fit around the connection which solved the leak. There is no taste to the water until the filters need changing. Great company! Fits well in the Brio top loading water dispenser which has 3 water temperatures (hot, cold, room).

ReadyRefresh price increase forced me to resort to this. Glad I did.
I can't believe I bought a ZeroWater product after the nightmare 23-cup dispenser purchase. 6 out of 7 times that one suffered from airlocks. However, I did like the result when the water did filter through. I also figured the way this jug works should result in no airlocks. Also, since only water and air are getting through and the jug only has to be moved for cleaning, my dispenser will have less clogs and run much cleaner. What's in the box: This product DOES NOT INCLUDE A DISPENSER. If you didn't read the product page, then at least hopefully you're reading it here. Buy or rent a dispenser. Most will work for this. Just make sure you're reading the instructions and calling customer service, as most likely YOU'LL HAVE TO REMOVE THE SPLASH GUARD. That would be the part that sits on top of the dispenser under the jug. It has a nub inside that breaks the seal of the jug. The box includes everything you need you install the jug, including O-rings. I specifically mention O-rings, because mine came with 3, but nowhere in my instructions say where to install O-rings. This is where customer service comes in. First of all, customer service answered right away and was super patient and helpful. We went through the instructions and noticed my instructions had a different Step 4. This is the step where it tells you to install the O-ring inside the threads of the top of the splitter. Also, be sure to remove your cooler's splash guard if it has one. It seems almost all coolers come with splash guards now. Mine came installed pretty tightly, so I was slowly making my way around the edges to make sure I wasn't damaging anything as I pulled it off. Removing it did not void my warranty since it is required for cleaning. Results: Water has been coming out with a 000 reading. It also filters really quickly, and the water level restricter works perfectly to make sure too much water isn't going into the cooler's reservoir. Between that and the jug's lower chamber, I always have plenty of water on demand. I no longer have to be bothered with 5-gallon water jugs taking up space, having to put out the empties, drag in the delivered jugs, most likely have to clean the dispenser less, and most importantly, I can save a little money due to the delivery price increase. So the only complaint so far is the incorrect instructions. And if I could be nitpicky, I wish they had different color choices. White and light blue don't exactly match up with the black and silver dispenser I have. By the way, I have the ReadyRefresh The Allure Series™ Hot & Cold Stainless Steel Water Dispenser.

Unit works well
So I bought the Zero Water cooler unit and was concerned if it would fit on the cooler I ordered. (I bought the Avalon Top Loading Countertop Water Cooler Dispenser, 3 Temperature, Child Lock, UL/Energy Star- Stainless Steel). When I tried to put it together and on the cooler, nothing fit but the Zero Water unit has a cup that acts like a float for the unit. I had to remove the Bottle Support plactic ring on the top and on the inside I had to remove the white splash unit that’s inside the Avalon Cooler. I believe both of the parts for bottle support and system. Without the two plastic parts the Zero Water unit fit nicely on the Avalon Cooler. once the water started to fill the "cup" float stops any water from entering the cooler and never over fills. So far both units are working good. I had heard so many stores about thie unit no fitting coolers but I believe that the folks are not removing parts that is not needed when using the Zero Water unit. Update: Couples months later, its working very well, water is still tasting good. I bought a spare set of filter but have yet to use them. No leaks – no issues, TEMP settings still work and no leaks from the outlets like so many other units.

Simple and easy installation
I needed to upgrade my water filter system since our city informed us few weeks ago that there was lead residue exposure inside the water pipes of the city. Therefor they recommended us to use ZeroWater since they are one of the most efficient filter system for lead issues. The product came with two filters, the installation process was very easy : - first you need to rinse with warm water every plastic component (i used warm water with few spoons of vinegar) - then proceed to the installation : first assemble the filter component in the upper tank then place the lower tank on your water dispenser then the upper tank on it, start filling water in the upper tank. - then you can easily test that your water filtration pass the requirement using the digital gauge that come with the product It's must have product if your looking forward for a good water quality !

amazing water quality
the product is amazing once i figured out how to use it properly. when the manual describes the splash guard it is the ring on your water cooler the bottle normally sits in, take it out and place bottle directly on the dispenser with float attached. the taste of the water is unparalelled. makes the best ice you can think of.

Way more convenient.
I used to have the version where you put it in the fridge, but it was a real pain sometimes. The water keg version is sim much easier to fill. Now we enjoy fresh tasting cold water in demand, and my grandma enjoys the filtered hot water for her tea!
