Good Pickleball backpack
This is a good bag for a day on the court. I can fit a variety of paddles, balls and various items. Shoe pocket is large enough for my shoes (my other backpacks shoe area is too small). Overall I am happy with the purchase. It is too early to say how durable to pack is though.

Capacious, well-made and weird....
The media could not be loaded. This is a strange backpack from Takeya, a company not noted for its backpacks. I got it as somewhat of a lark through the Amazon Vine program which gives merchandise to reviewers in return for their review. I'm a backpack fan. My favorites are Ospreys, but I'm willing to try most. There's a place for a cheap huge backpack in bear country of the Boundary Waters where you don't want a bear mauling your $400 Osprey and where you're only carrying the food pack across shorter portages.... So, what to say about this pack from Takeya? It's made well. Construction is quality. Materials are good. Everything about it is solid. But it's also quite strange. Takeya is noted for its water bottles, but this pack has internal mesh water bottle pockets. Where most other manufacturers place mesh water bottle pockets--on the outer sides for easy access--this pack has full zippered pockets that could hold a water bottle, I guess, at least a small one, but that don't provide at all for ease of access. And the only clear water bottle pockets are in the bottom corners of the main compartment. Similarly, the pack has nice mesh ventilation in the back, but not all across the back. There's a three-inch-wide strip of the same waterproof material as the front of the pack is made of down the center of the back. Now it isn't unusual for a pack to have a slightly different center strip with more ventilating mesh on the sides, but usually theres at least some attempt at ventilation or at least absorbent material in the center. And often the center is mesh like the rest of the back. There's padding almost everywhere in this pack making me wonder what they intended the various compartments for. The padded shoulder strips are nicely made. But there's no sternum strap--a cheap addition that can do wonders to ease carrying the pack on a longer walk. It's not unusual for a $100 pack to lack hip belt, but sternum strap? And about that lack of hip belt... This is not a small pack. Not at all. It's actually quite huge, big enought that if you fill it you just might want a hip belt. Lots of pockets, good materials, huge: this is a funny pack. It seems like a very expensive and worthy first effort from a quality company, but unfocused in its purpose and build intentions. Is it a sport pack for pickleball players? Takeya's advertising suggests the rear compartment is meant to hold rackets, but the only rackets that would fit there are pickleball and table tennis. Weird. In the end, I think this pack is only really intended or useful for sports players who want to carry gear short distances in a quality pack, athletes who want a lot of space and many pockets and aren't really focused on carrying their equipment longer distances than from their car to the club or the gym.

Pretty nice
This is a pretty nice backpack. When looking at the online listing I thought this seemed to be about the size of a hiking backpack. After receiving it, I see that it is much much bigger than that. A lot bigger than I expected. Will be better to take camping or use for sports than to take hiking. The quality is pretty nice too. It feels like a thicker material so that makes me feel like it'll last long. Overall pretty happy with this backpack.

Great bag for carrying all my stuff for Pickleball with room to spare
The media could not be loaded. I have been testing general backpack for pickleball use for awhile. This sport specific bag by Takeya is very good. I have been using it for pickleball a few times a week for over a month now. The size of the bag matters. As a 70 liter bag, I can carry everything I needed and still have room to spare: I carry two paddles, a change of clothes, slippers for the shower, personal hygiene items, and a pair of shoes. Then I often add in my iPad Pro and my headset for making calls if I have to do some work at the gym. On the outside side pockets I carry a 20oz water bottle and a pouch of snacks and electrolytes. See the video review for all the items and where I put them. The main compartment, being one large space, can easily fit all my stuff. The padded pocket in the back of the main compartment can fit a laptop and more. While the compartment is not suspended, because the bottom of the bag has a lot of extra material as the shoe pocket, it does provide some level of protection. Just don't drop the bag from high when there is a laptop inside. The back compartment can fits 2 to 3 paddle easily. The front and back walls are padded to protect the paddles. The paddles will touch each other in there. The straps are basic. They will not be super comfortable if you have to walk a long way to the courts. I use them just to get from the parking lot to the courts and they are fine. Only minor complain is that I wish there is another external pocket that is horizontal and large enough for keys and wallet. And a separate on for phones. Highly recommend this bag if you want a large bag for pickleball and more.

Sport & Outdoor Activities, This is it!
The media could not be loaded. For any squash, racquet, table tennis, or even traditional tennis players... This is a NO-BRAINER. It looks and feels high quality, zippers are strong and each have a hook for additional storage options, the amount of pockets and space within the bag is ohenomenal, not to mention the custom styled storage to accommodate for such enthusiasts. My use, is, and will be a bit different. Im a casual river and diving enthusiast. This bag works perfect for me (see pictures). Every piece of equipment and my accessories ALL fit. 5/5 100% Recommended See video for tour of the bag, and pictures of the backpack filled up with my gear.

Need a great bag for pickleball?
The Good: -Well constructed -Holds paddles, balls, shoe sand all your accessories -Stylish The Bad: -None The Bottom Line: If you play pickleball, you should get this bag. It is large and holds all your paddles, shoes and other accessories. It looks great and is comfortable to carry. I actually bring this bag with my laptop in it if I need to do some work prior to hitting the court. Overall, I would recommend this Takeya backpack.
