Decent
Good little bag. It's not huge by any means. Wish some of the pockets had organizers like elastic or slots to keep stuff in place. Otherwise the conceal carry pocket is really nice and easily accessible and the hook and loop secures whatever holsters I've tried. Definitely durable and high quality as always from maxpedition. Worth noting I paid $85 for this bag "used" and it came brand new. Cheers

Best pack I’ve ever had
I bought this pack for work… it’s kind of a get home bag slash work bag…. It works out perfect.. It has plenty of room for a few things I might need in a bad situation like a small IFAK, flash light, extra batteries, a few hours worth of food, bivvy and an extra knife… There’s also room for my work stuff like PPE and an extra work shirt. The layout is pretty good and the nylon is supreme! This bag is pretty much water repellent. I’m sure if you fell in a river your stuff might get a little wet but rain is not gonna be a problem … I’ve literally walked into work in pouring down rain and everything stays nice and dry. The zippers are pretty stiff but keep everything out … it’s the best made pack I’ve ever had and it’s held up very well so far… Maxpedition makes a durable product from what I can see. The lower outside pocket is a little hard to get into with one hand because it is so close to the upper pouch but other than that I have no complaints … It wears comfortably on my back and even with all the stuff I have in it it doesn’t appear to be over packed… Lots of molly webbing too… I can honestly say that when I go out of town for the weekend there’s plenty of room for me to pack it out with clothes and toiletries and still have room for the survival stuff that always stays in it … love my maxpedition so far

Big disappointment, quality and customer service underwhelming.
Short version: Please look elsewhere if you are looking for a quality bag and looking for a company that can take responsibility for it’s faults Long version: I would never in my wildest thoughts believe I would write a negative review on this product. I always believed and perceived Maxpedition as a company that creates products with quality, and of course if something is not up to their standards, that they will take responsibility to fix it. After not even a full year passed since I purchased this backpack, it started to break down. And I haven’t even been using it much. The cloth on the zipper pulls started deteriorate just after a few weeks. And after a few months the chest buckle broke after literally being used twice with normal use. At this point I was thinking it's not a big deal because I was sure for this price tag, that Maxpedition would help me to just replace the buckle. After sending an email to their customer service, it all started. You don’t get a ticket number nor an email that lets you know they have received your email. After a few days passed, I finally got the first answer from them with a few questions. After my response, the day after I suddenly received a email with a incomplete shopping cart from Maxpedition with a paylink, asking me to pay 8.99 USD for replacement buckle and shipping cost. I of course replay back asap and asking what this is and why I can’t get a replacement buckle for free, considering it's not even been a year since the initial purchase. I get a response where they say that “hardware” is not covered under warranty and they are nice waiving the costs of the hardware as a courtesy and I only have to pay for the shipping. I respond nicely saying that I understand there’s a shipping cost to ship something, but what I don’t understand is why you as a company don’t take responsibility for the low quality buckle on an expensive bag and not ship it for free. After that I never got an answer. I bumped them twice and after that I just got a short answer “You can complete your order for the part you need”. What a joke and a disappointment of a company, for such a silly thing. l will of course never buy anything again from this company and of course never recommend them.

Great pack
Maxpedition stuff is higher priced but it’s legit. Lots of accessories, good construction. You will get tired of looking at it before it wears out.

Not quite what I had envisioned, but probably perfect for the job.
I guess I didn't read the reviews close enough for I too was a little bit shocked by the size. People on youtube reviewing the pack had fully expanded (and often also added additional pouches) and were describing this as a medium bag, I was looking for medium but this was not what i envisioned as medium. I do on the other hand believe it will be suitable for my purposes and where it seems small it is more suitable to keeping things organized. My most recent backpack before this was an ogio backpack which basically had one big compartment and one zipper pouch. It served for packing a laptop and a binder but it was not the most organized pack if I added things like cables, computer accessories, etc... While my initial impression of this pack was that it appeared kind of compact, I think the fact that I'm not a college student packing text books and papers, will allow this to function more to my current needs. I have an assortment of items I like to have handy when I travel to and from work, primarily a laptop and various accessories. I had a messenger style bag for this but it was a bit flimsy and the organizational areas were stuffed down in hard to navigate pouches, it did however have a handy padded laptop sleeve which I will be swapping over to this maxpedition pack. I can keep the laptop and a few components in one section of the pack while keeping other items such as multitools, flashlights, pens etc... separate and sort them by what needs to be the most accessible, this is something neither my basic school pack or messenger bag were really capable. they were also not as rugged, nor did they really offer modular expansion - which is really how a pack like this wins. I look forward to customizing and making this the ideal option for my daily pack.

Well made and robust
Product was exactly as advertised. Well made and robust. Looks a little on the small side but expands and was exactly what I was looking for.

Great Backpack
Great backpack. Ignore the 'military' association - it is a great every day backpack!

No warranty for Canadians
Bought this bag at the end of June. I really liked it. Was happy to have spent a lot of money thinking I was getting something of great quality which would last years. It’s now the first week of September. And one of the compression straps has started to rip out of the seam. Contact the company who says it will cost more to send it to us to fix then to take to a local seamstress and according to their warranty policy it only covers their products in the United States so everyone in Canada has no warranty.

Excellent EDC bag
Perfect bag for work or an EDC bag. i have found the other 3 day bags to be too big or balky this bag is a perfect size. Very sturdy will definitely purchase another for work

Tough, Resistant, Durable
With the attachment of two Maxpedition 12 X 5" bottle molle bags which makes the carrying capacity roughly 30L, it makes for a really good sized bug out bag. Loaded up to around 12KG the bag has given no signs of tearing or ripping while on walks. If the straps are adjusted properly including the belt loop it's a reasonably comfortable bag to carry.

Usual maxpedition quality
What’s to say? It’s a maxpedition. High quality. A little on the small side but I made it work.
