Buy it! You will LOVE it!
We LOVE this awesome gadget!!! We use it daily to make a healthy "ice cream." Honestly, one of the best treats, with no guilt! My better half said, initially, when I told him about buying the machine, he thought it was silly...but when it arrived...he was hooked. He has actually become so passionate about it that when the cashiers ask what all the bananas are for, he tells them all about how wonderful it is. He had one cashier pull it up on Amazon and order it on the spot as he was checking out. It is easy to use and very easy to clean. Seriously, buy this...you are going to LOVE it!

Yummy and healthy ice cream replacement
This machine is amazing! So easy to use and cleans up in a snap! Kiddos love helping make their favorite flavors. Bananas, peaches and blueberries are our personal favorites. Fun to use and we eat so much more healthy now.

Super cool, but a lot of work
I really like the idea for this! Someone recommended I try it because I love ice cream but was trying to go off of dairy for health reasons. I actually really loved the end result, though I haven’t completely figured out the creaminess thing, it’s still much creamier than I would have expected for just fruit! The downside for me is the work it takes to use it. It’s a lot of work to use it (takes a while) and it’s got a lot of pieces to clean. That may sound lazy, but it’s more that I just don’t have a lot of time. I’m sure there are things I could figure out to speed up the process, but I don’t generally want to feel like I’m cooking a second meal just for a dessert for myself, but it takes a long time to get much out of it, so not super ideal for parties if you’re needing something to feed a lot of people fast. ????‍♀️ But, all that said, if you have fairy allergies and you’re just wanting something cold and creamy it’s fun. But it’s basically a slightly thicker smoothie. ????‍♀️

This is a game changer
I am 55 ad have to really watch what I eat so was looking for an alternative to ice cream, whether commercially purchased or made from home. This product promised to make an ice cream like recipe using primarily bananas and other fruit. And so, if it works, one can enjoy something with substantially less calories, zero fat and only the natural sugars found in fruit. Does it deliver? It absolutely delivers. All my recipes come out with ice cream like consistency and are a perfect substitute for ice cream. Honestly, I enjoy them just as much. . One must follow the directions for this to work: 1) bananas are the base of most recipes 2) bananas must have "cheetah spots" 3) freeze bananas overnight 4) let bananas and any other frozen fruit thaw for at least 10 minutes before grinding 5) alternate bananas with other fruit when grinding (I usually do half a banana, fruit, then another half of the banana). I only use organic bananas because nonorganic can have an aftertaste. If you are doing it right it would have a "soft serve consistency". If not you are doing something wrong. If you have ice crystals you are doing it wrong. It is critical to let fruit thaw before using. This thing is not that easy to clean at first and there is potential to make a good mess when using but with practice this gets easier and easier. In any case it has allowed me to eat and enjoy a sort of "mock ice cream" and frankly it is every bit as good as regular ice cream. A typical bowl has 150 calories and if you need sweetener add a little monk fruit. I never have to add sweetener since I only use bananas with "cheetah spots", they are sweet enough to carry it.

I ordered the delux model and received the base model. Really annoying. Will return and just order from the yonanas website directly. I was trying to replace my delux yonanas that I loved and broke after 3 years of use. Overall I’m a huge yonanas fan and find it easy to clean bc I just place all the pieces in a large mixing bowel with water and soap to let soak after using it. I also think it’s an easy to use product. I also own a vitamix which I love as well—though for “nice cream” and acaii bowls, the yonanas is far superior as the fruit mixture comes out dense and silky smooth, just like soft serve. I’ve also used frozen creamy substitutes whenever I’ve gotten bored of the banana flavor and have enjoyed frozen vanilla pudding as a base etc for a naughtier and more deserty base. Frozen Mamey (sapote) is also creamy and can be used as a base instead of bananas. So obviously I’m a tried and true yonanas fan and am really annoyed that I have to worry now about returning and reordering to get the product I ordered. First world problems lol But anyway I’ve found the yonanas site to be very reliable in the past. Unfortunately I’ve had many more Amazon delivery hiccups recently and this is one of them.

Great Christmas gift for daughter
We received the Yonanas 988BK Deluxe Vegan Non-Dairy Frozen Fruit Soft Serve Dessert Maker as a Christmas present for our 9 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it! She has been using it almost every day since we got it and it has quickly become one of her favorite kitchen gadgets. The Yonanas machine is extremely easy to use. Simply add frozen fruit to the chute and push down with the plunger. The machine does the rest, turning the fruit into a creamy and delicious soft serve dessert. We love that it allows us to make healthier dessert options for our daughter that are free of dairy, added sugars, and artificial ingredients. The machine itself is very durable and well-made. It is also easy to clean, which is a major plus. The only downside we have found is that it can be a bit loud when in use, but this is a minor issue for us. Overall, we are extremely happy with the Yonanas 988BK Deluxe Vegan Non-Dairy Frozen Fruit Soft Serve Dessert Maker and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and healthy dessert option. It has been a hit with our daughter and we know it will be a staple in our kitchen for years to come.

Enjoy!
I used the soft serve maker for the first time last night and was pleased with the product. It was easy to use and easy to clean. Banana and mixed berry was the first try, the recipes were simple and tasty. Can't wait to try different combinations. I will be glad to add to this review as I become more familiar with the product.

healthy icecream
I was a little circumspect about the end result using this device but after respecting the included instructions, the ice-cream came very good, easy to make and of course very healthy as involves only fruits. Tried plain bananas and combination with berries, each very delicious. Using only fruits, cleaning is a breeze. I started buying bananas to over ripe and keep in the freezer to always have on hand.

Practical and a good to have kitchen appliance
I got to know this machine at a friend when we got a sorbet like desert made of 100% fruit. This machine is practical and easy to use and clean. it delivers ice-cream like texture only using fruits. Almost all of the recipes require bananas as the base but if you don't like or are allergic to bananas, you can still enjoy a blueberries/Mango ice cream in a few minutes. I've also froze yogurt to see if I could make frozen yogurt type of ice cream and it worked. a couple of negative points go to it being too loud during the operation as well as the cheap plastic casing. The motor can also be heated after a short period of time so if you're to make ice-cream for more than a few people, it wouldn't be that quick and you have to plan ahead of time. For the price, I think it is a bit over priced for the material used and the quality.

Healthy & Fun! Takes a little elbow-greese to press it through
My Naturopath suggested this for us when my daughter had her tonsils & adenoids removed and it's been sooooo fun making healthy sorbets! We haven't even done the super fun recipes but this one comes with the recipe book (and they look super delicious!!) Our favouite blends usually include mixed berries & mango or pineapple or both. Most of the recipes are banana based but they don't have to be. Ideally let your frozen fruit sit out for 10 or 15 minutes and then it is a little easier on the machine. I like this deluxe model over the basic because when we make food we make a lot and this has slightly more power. This is a godsend for those of us who need to avoid dairy! Wonderful for summer! My kids are still a little young so they can't really help make it because you have to press down hard on the fruit with the tamper in order to press it through the machine. It comes out in funny skinny perfectly textured bits but I press it into icecream and then even scoop it with the icecream scoop to make it look authentic. It's up to the user to make it look good and taste good. If you put the effort in, this machine ROCKS!!!

Works way better than I expected.
Used this now 3-4 times trying different fruit and it actually works really well. First time was using a bought bag of frozen tropical fruit just to try it quickly and that was pretty good. Next time was strawberry, kiwi and bananas (which was really nice). The way it cuts / smashes the fruit up really makes it feel like ice cream, but you do need to let the fruit defrost for 10 - 15 mins before doing it and I like to leave it 5-10 mins after the machine has done it's thing to get that nice, soft, melting ice cream texture to it. The only slightly negative thing about it is that I would like to be able to add larger amounts of fruit into the feeding tube and you can't clean it straight after using it - you need to let the left overs inside the unit melt a bit before you can clean it. Both these things are really minor stuff and I would recommend this to anyone.
