Great product!

Great power strip for office and home but it offers none surge protection.
Most people had a desktop computer and monitor, and maybe a printer but add to those external drives, scanners, wireless routers, and other peripheral devices, and those two standard outlets most of us had were simply overwhelmed. Now we have laptops, tablets, smartphones, and wireless Bluetooth devices and we’re still tied to these power strips. The proliferation of wireless handheld devices that charge at lower outage make surge protection more important than ever. If you prefer a power strip with a cord instead of one that sits right on the wall outlet, the Yellow Jacket is the best choice. It is well suited to the edge of a desk or the corner of a room; these power strip has 8 outlets, 2 USB ports, and a 6 foot cord, so that you can plug in devices from multiple angles. Unfortunately, this power strip does not offer any surge protection. If you want a real surge protection on the go, AXTRA power strip with USB is the best choice. We live in Florida that thunder strike often happens every year. There was a lightning strike shot on our house last time, and AXTRA surge protector protected all of our power equipment, laptop, computers, printer and a router. The last thing you do not use with a power strip: Please do not use this product to daisy-chain to another power strip or an extension cord.

This Field Engineer has one in his bag.
I have three. I keep one in my shop. The extra USB charge ports come in very handy as so many gadgets prefer getting their power that way. I keep another in my office for the power and USB ports. Finally- I have one that goes with me for site visits. They are sturdy, have a long enough cord to be flexible and have the angled plug in I prefer. All in all, it's just about perfect for my needs. Your friendly field engineer has one in his bag.

Don’t buy this IF you want a surge protector.
Great metal chassis. Cheap, plastic switch. And ultimately NOT a surge protector. They should make that way more clear in their writing. Call this what it is: a POWER TAP. Don’t tell people this will protect their stuff with the 15A circuit breaker. This doesn’t help anything. Unless one means to imply that this can be used when in site and monitored at all times, but even then... a surge hits at about the speed of light and can damage equipment as fast. For a power tap—despite the cheap switch, it’s nice. But don’t buy this if you want a surge protector. Due to the language of the product description, I was under the impression that the items I had plugged into this were protected. I just now flipped it over to discover the much more plain language “POWER TAP” on the back of it. Please make this more plain.

Must-have accessory!
Very happy with this item. Brightens up the kitchen counter-top and does exactly what it's meant to do. No more cords to electric skillet, food processor, mixer, electric pressure cooker, etc., being threaded through a drawer and cupboard door to plug in said cookware to an outlet that only permitted two such items to be plugged in at any given time--and with the short cords on most appliances these days we had to use a cord extension for the skillet to work at all (not safe). Very sturdy, surge suppressor, USB ports to keep your iPhone or iPad charging while you access your recipe "apps" ... can switch it off when not in use! Would absolutely buy it again.

Great Power Box
This is great power box. I bought it because it was equipped with 8 outlets which is two more than most power boxes. Our project that we were making needed 7 outlets, so this one was perfect. It is very well made and does well out in the weather where it can be hung up in a dry protected place.

does what it's meant to do!!!!
bought this for a distribution box when i gutted wiring in an old camper. ran several extension cords into to run tv & dvd player, 3 dorm fridges, 2 fans, 300 led x-mas lights, and a 900 watt microwave. granted not everything ran at the same time, but had zero problems. just recently we used at home hooked upto a generator when we lost power for 40+ hours....still no problems with this unit!! plan on buying 2 more after x-mas!!
