They are solid but a few issues

I spent about 3 hours surfing Amazon to find the right tray tables for my house. I did not want junk or flimsy so I decided on these. Here are the pro's - they are solid wood. They are easy to assemble and they probably will last a very long time unlike cheap ones that fall apart or wobble. Con's - they went on sale $40 in just 10 days after I purchased. This might not be a big deal to some but it is to someone on a very tight income. I wish I waited a few weeks if i knew they would be marked down. For the $109 price ticket they are worth it. Second con - they are heavy so when you go to fold them, they snap down and pinch the heck out of your fingers and it HURTS. I learned to place them upside down on the floor and fold it that way. Third con - one of my tables had a warped leg and it would not fold right. Fourth con - they are extremely heavy - might not be a good choice for some. All 4 tables in the carrier are very heavy to move should you need to. So the good news is, they sent me a replacement table for free - but it was not a total match to the teak coloring which they let me know it might not be. if I waited I could have got them for $40 less - Amazon does this strange markdown thing so I guess from now on I put something in the cart and keep an eye on it do drop before I purchase. Anyhow, if your in search of very heavy tables get them. If you don't want super heavy and solid wood is not that big a deal go for the others. These are also a tad bigger then your average tray table.

Nice material- poor assembly

I bought these tv trays because I was replacing ones that If had for almost 10 years. I wanted solid wood construction so that they would hold up. Mainly my husband and I only use 2 trays, but several months after receiving the trays, we needed to use all 4. When we went to use the 3rd and 4the trays, one was assembled so that the sliding bar rubs the exterior leg when trying to slide it closed. You have to use both hands to pull the leg out so that the inside slide at w/ leg can fit inside of it to close. Then, the other tray top completely separated from the legs (base) upon first use!!! It looks like it is missing all of the screws from the manufactured assembly. I am angry because it only comes with a 30 day return and had I known within 30 days that the other 2 trays were defective, I would have returned them!! (When we received the trays, they opened and closed easily when we first opened them- but I think the wood acclimation in our home effected the tables and brought out issues that would have been discovered sooner if they were ever used). I reached out to the company to see if they would replace the two trays that weren’t assembled properly in their warehouse. I will update my rating if it is ever resolved.

Good buy

I really like these tv trays. I noticed some pictures with damage to the trays but mine were in great condition when I got them. The box wasn't damaged and there wasn't any damage or scratches on the trays themselves. I'm very pleased. The only issue I have is that the espresso color is really dark. It almost looks black in certain lighting. I didn't want the teak because it was to light of a color and it wouldn't match my future. So I got the espresso. I honestly didn't think it would be that dark. I wish they offered another color somewhere in between. Other than that I really like the trays.

Quality wood

Finally broke down and bought a set of these tables. Read lots of reviews on the various ones for sale on Amazon. Settled on these for #1 the price, and #2 the quality of the product. Have used them now a few times, size is good, they stack away in a small space, and they look good. Only thing I would say would be the stability, as they will shake/move a bit when set up. But for the intended use, they are great. Would recommend them.

Disappointed in description

Being housebound Amazon is often my first shopping stop, a necessity for me. Things come quickly and it is VERY rare that I am disappointed. I brought these tables used. It usually means buying someone's return. It was listed as very good. I did not expect to need to do repairs. The tables are heavy, sturdy and look like quality in most regards. The description listed solid wood and the photo shows a lovely grained teak wood finish. In actuality, the tops have a laminate surface which was disappointing. I am elderly and it would be very inconvenient to box these for return so I will keep them. The rack/stand that holds the trays is very nice and seems stable while storing the trays. One of the nicest aspects is the size. They can hold a meal or project with ample room so I am not fearing a glass will fall off the edge. Overall, they were a good value for the reduced price. If I had not needed to repair missing screws that held the legs to the tray tops, which I located loose in the box, and the laminate top, I would have rated these 5 stars.

Real wood, looks nice, good value.

They are not the most sturdy of any table, as you have read, but it's perfect for your laptop/macbook, eating a snack in the TV room, or when you need extra table/counter space that you can put in a closet when you dont need them. They are not a workbench, its a tray table. Good solid all real wood is my favorite part. No press-wood junk.

Very heavy

These are nice tables. With Covid precautions, it is good to have people spread out and not have to eat dinner off if their knee. These are heavy though, well finished for the most part, with just one edge a bit rough. You have to sit with your knees together to get both legs under the table. Slight damage in shipping. Overall, I'm glad that I have them.

Very happy with purchase.

The Winsome Wood Dylan 5-PC Oversize Snack Table Set arrived in excellent condition. No scratches, blemishes or gouges. Other reviews indicated the stand was not sturdy, and had to be tightened after use. To prevent that problem, I followed a suggestion by another reviewer and applied carpenters glue on the joints before screwing the stand together. The stand is now very solid and trust the joints becoming loose will not be a problem. I highly recommend these tables, providing ample time is taken in assembling the stand, not rushing and gluing all the joints before inserting the screws.
