nice fine tips on pencils

There were no written instructions on where to insert the batteries and how to remove the shavings. I did find both in you tube videos. The sharpener seems to make a nice point on my prismacolor pencils without eating up the wood.

Great sharpener

Great sharpener for my coloured pencils, Prisma ones as they need to be quite sharp when colouring images. The only thing I wish is that it was rechargeable by USB and not by 4 AA batteries.

Sharp points but grabs wood

I bought the plug-in version of this a couple years ago and love it. Finally - sharp points! I bought this battery-powered one for our colored pencils It also sharpens pencils nicely, but it grabs onto the wood in a weird way. While sharpening, you have to hold on tightly to the sharpener and the pencil so that it doesn’t spin. (Very tricky with short pencils.) You get a nice sharp point, but it sometimes eats at the wood so the point sticks out a bit. This seems to happen more to the colored pencils than regular ones. (We use a large variety of colored pencils, not just the ones shown here.) With colored pencils, we get a lot of broken tips stuck in the sharpener - that’s the nature of colored pencils. The lead inside breaks easily when they’re dropped. One of the benefits of this sharpener is that although it won’t sharpen any pencils when there’s a piece stuck in it, it’s fairly easy to fix. The clear part and the sharpener are easily disassembled so you can access the broken tip. Overall, this sharpener does the job, and I’m satisfied with it, if slightly disappointed that it doesn’t sharpen the wood as smoothly as its electric counterpart. (Although maybe the quality of those have changed as well.)

Best Sharpener

I bought this pencil sharpener 6 years ago for $14 at Costco. I was thrilled when it lasted over 6 years as that was a fantastic value. Very durable yet lightweight and the size can easily be stored in a cupboard, drawer or desktop. I was bummed I couldn’t find a replacement that plugged in, so I had to purchase the battery operated one. I received it today, and I actually received three for the price of one. Hoping someone will reach out to me if this is a shipping error. I don’t want bad karma, but I couldn’t find an email to correspond with shipper directly. Great value if I am getting 3 for the price of 1, but not so great that I have to buy batteries. Either way this brand and sharpener are fantastic and I hope this one has the same life as the first one purchased years ago.

Pencil Sharpener

I recently forgot my iPoint Orbit pencil sharpener at my granddaughter’s house. I told her to just keep it and I would get me another one. This way I’ll have one in both places! I love the way it sharpens and how fast it works.

Very much to the point

This sharpener is superb to use. It is very quick to sharpen graphite pencils or colouring pencils and I have not had a broken point yet. Very simple to empty, just unscrew the top, take off the cylinder and empty into the bin. My first one I did have to return as the connection between blades and motor was not correct, but I have not had any issues with my current one and use it every day. However, for some reason it is delivered in a brown paper bag which to be honest seems inadequate protection. No hesitations to recommend this sharpener.

No lo compren

Me llego y le puse baterias recargabels y no jalo, puse a cargar las baterias y las cheque con multimetro y no funciono, bueno lo cambie me lo cambiaron super rapido la verdad contento con el servicio amazon, pero cuando me llego el nuevo le puse las pila y nada dije achis pues ya dos debe haber algo malo pues lei las mini instrucciones, y decía baterías AA 1.5 V y las recargables son 1.2 V bueno intente conseguir las recargables 1.5 no las consegui y compre normales y JALO super contento afile todos los lapices chafisimas de mi hija y bueno el gusto me duro 3 dias la mugre ya no jala. NO LO COMPREN

Buen sapuntas pero...

Recibí el sacapuntas mucho antes de la fecha indicada, sin embargo el empaque no fue muy bueno ya que lo enviaron en un sobre y no en caja para evitar se dañe ya que el producto viene en blíster y no en cajita. Afortunadamente llegó sano y salvo. Con respecto al sacapuntas, es bueno, afila bien los lápices de grafito y de colores, sin llegar a la perfección. Cuando hice el pedido no me percate de que se trataba de un sacapuntas con hoja afilada en vez de cono devastador que sin duda hubiera sido mejor ya que las hojas de un filo suelen gastarse y perder el filo muy rápido. Espero dure lo suficiente antes de buscar la forma de reemplazarla. Lo que recomendo a quienes lo compren es que tengan mucho cuidado al afilar sus lápices, más aún si son de los 'caros' porque se los come terriblemente. Esto se debe porque no cuenta con sistema autostop para envitar que se siga de largo una vez que ya tiene buena punta el lápiz. Háganlo en tiempos cortos y verifiquen si ya terminó de sacar punta para que no se confien y se termine su lápiz en una sola pasada. No me arrepiento de haberlo comprado ya que es buena marca, esta a muy buen precio y trabaja bien. Pero repito hubiera sido mejor uno con cono devastador como el de otras marcas, además de que este no cuenta con entrada para conectarse a la luz o vía USB (solo funciona con baterías) afortunadamente existen las baterías recargables.
