Top quality, American made wheel

When shopping wire wheels, quality matters, because the difference between quality and lack thereof typically determines whether or not you get wires flying at you during use. These US-made, crimped wire wheels have performed excellently for me so far, and unlike the cheapies they do not turn the user into an unwitting pin cushion. They are well made, well balanced and everything you could want for a 6" bench grinder application. I like these enough that I bought spares already. Highly recommended!

THE "SOFTIE" WIRE WHEEL YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU NEEDED

The wire wheels with the .005 diameter wire are great for removing light rust and other impurities from tools and other metal objects. Whereas the conventional .014 wire wheel will throw sparks and take skin off your fingers if you're not careful, the .005 wheels don't remove metal from the piece you're working on. They will take polish off of chrome if you get too aggressive with them. $30 is not too much to spend on one, much less one made in the USA. Very happy with the purchase.

decent quality stainless buffing wheel

Have used these for years to clean stainless steel and give it a pebbly finish, or a brush finish. My one gripe is that the wires come loose pretty easily, and more so if you are pressing hard to get the pebbly finish. You will get dinged by them and it's painful. Of course I wouldn't be caught dead around any buffing or grinding machine without eye and face protection, but these wires will go right through clothes and spear themselves into your arms. Would love to find something that worked as well as a wire wheel but didn't involve the stinging.

Made in USA!

This is a great quality Wire Wheel, I haven't had many wires come out and it works fine. I bought two just in case. I hope they continue making them here in the US.

Used for stainless steel products only!! Do not use on steel!

Great wheel and needed for taking the weld color from stainless steel welds. NOTE: DO NOT USE A STEEL WHEEL ON STAINLESS! it will embed steel into the stainless and rust! Use only stainless on stainless and never use it on steel product as it will contaminate the stainless wheel and ruin your next stainless project! Hope this helps!!

So unbalanced it’s unusable

Quality Fine Wire Wheel Made in the USA

Just “unboxed”, the wire wheel shipped in a bubble bag and looks to be a high quality product made in the USA. The plastic 1/2” bushing is preinstalled. I’d buy this brand again. No guessing about quality here. Definitely worth the extra money over something like Harbor Freight.

Returned these as they were not stainless steel as advertised. Plain old carbon steel.
