So comfortable. Must be some sort of dark magic!
Finally pulled the trigger on buying a saddle from one of the "best" seat makers in the world. I've always been skeptical that such a simple design could be comfortable. But Wow! This is so comfortable right out of the box.

You get what you pay for
Well..to begin with I purchased a new 58cm fixed gear bike and the stock saddle was just to thin in the sit bones area and anatomy area and I tried every adjustment that I could possibly try and i could not find a satisfactory adjustment and I could only travel a short distance at a time whereas before my road bike got stolen I was using my bike primarily as my way to and from work riding 60 miles a week..but i just couldn't make it on my new fixed gear with this thin narrow saddle as the saddle would just cause numbness..so I just had to look for a replacement saddle and I chose the brooks carved flyer saddle and when it arrived I was impressed with its custom looking box and the contents and some history of brooks saddles and the saddle itself is a work of art and I compared the saddles side by side and the brooks is a beast compared to that cheap thin saddle that came with my bike...and the saddle undercarriage double spring steel framework design is like no other..I followed the instructions and applied the saddle conditioner and let it sit overnight and installed the saddle the following day and polished with a clean soft cotton towel and its really nice and soft and the true test came when I took my bike for a spin and its really comfortable and makes the difference compared to the other saddle and actually its improved my riding posture day by day and i can ride longer without raising off the saddle to relieve discomfort unless I'm sprinting but aside from that this brooks saddle is perfect for me and have gotten compliments from friends who are envious at the appearance of it and the smooth shiny black leather with details makes it standout.!

Finally, a perfect saddle!
Finally found a saddle that will let my bum outlast my legs. Treated it with proofide on Thursday and set it in the sun for the day; installed on Friday morning and rode 40 miles over hills and into wind and the saddle just got better as the trip continued. I could've gone 70 miles easily. I was exhilarated to have finally found a saddle after going through 4-5 other types (Planet Bike, Rideout Tech, others). This saddle was more comfortable new than most of the others have been after weeks of riding. I'm 210-215 lbs and 61 yrs old and losing weight and this saddle just keeps on getting better. This saddle molds to you the more you ride, and it regulates temperature regardless of hot or cold, much like wool does; must be 'something' about these natural materials, like they've been designed for this, eh? Some reviews speak to breaking in periods of several weeks or several hundred miles. After what I've tried, this required almost no breaking in to make me feel great. Be sure to treat with proofide and let it sit in the sun for a day or half day; that'll loosen it up a bit. Just a great, great saddle! UPDATE: after the first 100 miles the saddle continues to improve; it is strange experiencing this saddle compared to others, which seem to start out great then deteriorate with time. This one is the reverse...a bit stiff but comfortable at first and then it just improves the more you ride it. Notice some erratic, sporadic metal clicking sound, non-rhythmic. UPDATE: the metallic clicking is the Thomson seatpost clamp failing to secure the rail in place; it walks the seat back away from the handlebars...that was the metallic squeaking clicking sound. I used a bead of JB Weld to fix that. The saddle continues to perform and conform nicely. Will get a B67 for the Mrs. UPDATE 02/2019: saddles continues to improve; I don't ride much in the winter (Nebraska). If I was riding a lot more it would have been a perfect conforming seat by now. It just gets better with time, like a pair of jeans.

Pull that trigger
32.5 miles first day. That may not sound like much to many of yall but, for just riding in and around downtown Houston I’d say its a good break in ride. Feels like you’re sitting on silk. I love this saddle right here.

I loved this saddle. (yes, past tense)
Lasted for a few years, but my previous ones lasted much longer. Quality has gone downhill with Brooks. I'm changing up to their American Made competitor. The nose adjustment on my saddle broke, as I've seen on many other reviews. And just fyi, I'm under 175lbs. Poor quality materials is the only explanation. Sad, because I was a huge Brooks fan and they made a liar out of me.

Solid seat
I put this seat on my forty year old exercise bike, still breaking it in, but even new it's a good seat that doesn't hurt my butt or make me numb. Once it softens up some with conditioner and conditioning It will just get better. Then I'll use it on my street bike. Seems like a lot of money for a seat, but it's so well made I'll use it until I die of old age and then pass it on. I bought the Brooks hardware, precision of adjustment was impressive, the seat stays where you put it, bag loops on the back for easy use. I've wasted more money on seats that hurt my butt, actually injured me, and made me numb then this seat costs.

No more standing on the pedals to relieve pressure
Wow. I last had a Brooks saddle on my touring bike which I sold many years ago. I loved the Brooks then, and the product is just as well made today. Went on a 20 mile first ride with saddle this afternoon and it already feels "broken-in". I'm seriously thinking of ordering a couple more of these. My other seats are high end European saddles with either a cut-out or slotted channel down the middle, but they don't compare to the comfort of the Brooks. Downside, you are going to pay a weight penalty with the Brooks-it's not light. One nice touch, the saddle comes with a small amount of leather pre-treatment which did a terrific job of adding luster and just the right amount of conditioning.

Well worth it, so comfortable
This is the most comfortable Brooks saddle I've used, even more than the Champion Flyer. The cutout provides extra "give". I did not need any break in time.

The comfiest saddle I've ever ridden on
Returning to cycling after a few years off the bike, my old saddle was causing considerable discomfort. I tried a couple of alternatives, with no improvement, and as a last resort invested in one of these. Problem solved, it has been a dream to sit on as I commute to and from work. I haven't even broken it in properly yet, so it should become more comfortable over time. It does weigh a lot, though, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're trying to travel light. The shape of the rails also means that the range of forward/backward adjustment is a little more limited than a lot of saddles.

Thinking about returning...
Thinking about returning since still sore after using gel saddle. Feels more comfortable in upright position but then it seems too narrow for sit bones which are 11-12 cm wide only. B67 could be better if there was Imperial cutout as well (theoretically not necessarily needed for upright position, although better to have it just to be on the safe side). Not sure if it will be possible to find one which could be as good as the old leather saddle from the start.

A perfect product.
This is simply a superb product as You would expect of a Brooks. It looks and feels just perfect. Breaking in will happen through use and is simply part of the process of owning a Brooks. Delivery time was within days of ordering.

Brilliant, I had a Brooks B17
Brilliant, I had a Brooks B17, once before and found I could not get on with it as it had no 'give' this however is brilliant, very comfortable. Arrived very quickly and just as described.
