MOUNT TO JACK.

COULD USE A MORE STABLE MOUNTNG FOR CASTERS. THE METAL IS A LITTLE THIN WHERE IT MOUNTS TO JACK. BUT NOT BAD FOR THE PRICE.

Have a C clip tool handy

It is really well built and works great, but I didn't happen to have a C clip tool handy so the flat head screw driver did the trick. You just have to keep track of where they go flying off to. The instructions are absolutely worthless, throw them on the fire pit to roast marshmallows, it will be of better use.

check for missing parts and damage

generally a very good buy, the jack was actually sturdier than I expected, but the plate that the transmission sits on was slightly warped which made the side to side adjustment none functional. I took it apart, straightened the plate and reassembled it and it worked fine. only adjusts angle in one direction, but otherwise did the job as expected.for this money, I would definitely recommend this jack.

Good lift for the money

Requires a very large Allen Wrench to assemble I have a drawer full but not that big. Wheels do not swivel 360 degrees so it becomes a pain to move around when they get to end of turn and are stuck on frame. Secondary cylinder hangs up have to fiddle with valve to unstick. All that said my TH700R-4 is in the shop being rebuilt thanks to this tool.

Trans Jack

When assembling I compressed the pump spring with a wood clamp and installed the pedal. I ground the head of a 5/16 bolt slightly to fit in the 12mm bolt. I put a nut on the 5/16 bolt and used a 1/2 socket to tighten the 12mm allen head bolts. I also extended the vertical part of the valve control 10 inches . I removed a 700r4 from my 36 Ford Pu street rod with no problem. This jack is great for occasional use in a home shop and I recommend it to anyone. I would buy again.

Seems to work

Seems a bit light duty. But expected for how much cheaper of a price this is vs. brand names.

Disappointed

Not happy with this jack for the little things that add up to big things. Tha adj. screws on the jack platform are impossible to turn looks like the threads are damaged the 2 plates holding the chains to the platform are very thin metal and will not except much use before they will need replacing. I haven't used the jack yet but I'm not very excited about the process buy for the money I hope it holds up.

the pump sticks

i used this jack 3 times so far... first time the small piston came up first and when it started to support the transmission the larger piston started to jolt up which shakes the car on the hoist, figured it was tight and think that will work out. my main issue is that the pump sticks down when you pump it... so you have the tap it upwards and it works for a few more strokes and sticks again. it seems a bit lightly made with cheesy wheels but i was ok with that - you get what you pay for...
