Love the big cubes

I live in Arizona and when it’s summer, an ice cube can melt while you watch. These big things last much longer. I live on herbal iced tea and I freeze the tea in these to keep it undiluted and they’re great. The only negative I have is that the cubes are a little hard to get out for someone with arthritis or other stiffness or mobility issues. I have to kind of peel the silicone back and pop the bottom with my thumbs. Recommend for anyone else.

Great for cocktails! The sphere one is a little tricky to get the hang of but turn out good once you do.

Still considering - Update

I hadn't noticed the white flakes until they were pointed out, so I'm going to have try to clean up. (Sigh) I had rinsed with soapy water (not detergent) when new. Will try the vinegar remedy. This is a deal breaker if not it can't be fixed. For me, these required a short learning curve to fill and dispense ice. Actually, not fill, but to get the squishy tray to the freezer without spilling. Now that I've got the knack, I like several things about these trays. The size is great for my small freezer, and they set up fairly quickly. The set of two allows me to always have one ready when I need it. The large ices are fun and easy to use, though do not impart the cold to your beverage as quickly as an equal amount of crushed ice. I hope the flake issue can be resolved. UPDATE: I recleaned the cubes with a vinegar/water mix, making sure to rub all inside surfaces. It does seem to have done the trick. I updated my review stars. Not quite a 5.

Fun cocktail Ice cubes! Only one snag.

I loved making flavored cocktail ice cubes with these. The sphere cubes especially were easy to remove. But one big problem…I should have read more closely but you should note this set does not. One with a small funnel to fill the spheres. Other sets online do. If it had a funnel I’d have given the set a 5 star rating.

Mixed bag

The squares are great. The rounds, not so much. Like all sphere ice molds, these are just a giant PITA to fill. Gotta make the bottom half, then put the top on and fill to make a whole sphere. When doing the top half, you can only guess how much to full, and hope the water stays in the mold. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Like I said, the squares are great. They keep the review from being 1 star.

Ice ice baby

Great product. It is easy to use and the silicone makes it easy for or the ice cubes to pop out.so much better than the traditional plastic ice cube trays.

AVOID! Can't be food grade

Avoid like the plague. These moulds cannot be be food grade, the ice made in them leaves an oily residue in the drink that sticks to the glass. Also, what looks like white flakes deposit from them. I gave the products a wipe over before use initially, then after I noticed the issues I scrubbed them and ran them through the dishwasher. Still the same. I had read about these issues in some other reviews and thought it may have been a small batch issue but apparently not. Luckily no alcohol was harmed in the making of this review! Product returned.

Works great, just the right size for summer drinks

Good to have a selection of cube and sphere ice, and just the right size for small UK/Euro freezers. The cube mould will even fit on top of the sphere mould in the freezer. Just be aware the sphere mould will spill slightly when completey full if it is pressed and deformed before the water is frozen. The cube mould is maybe a bit difficult to get the first cube out when everything is frozen, but once it's out the rest are easy to push out.

Weird flacky bits in ice ???? Very disappointed ????

The media could not be loaded. I am very sadly disappointed in these products, the price is great and the design is flawless enough.....however after washing thoroughly on delivery I filled them up only to find strange flaky/oily residue floating in them! (my water is fine to clarify) I washed them again and repeated only to find the same issue. Not sure if its some kind of plastic coming off the inside or not but it basically makes them unusable

Not just for ice cubes.

I decided to give these ice moulds a try to make cube candles. The moulds are very heavy duty and good quality, Demoulding was actually easier than some of the purpose made candle moulds that i have used. Candle making aside these would make quite substantial ice cubes for a G&T that would last for ages. You could also use them to make frozen treats for pet's in the hot weather. I would happily recommend these moulds to others.

I enjoy the ice cubes

Ideal for a little tumbler of whisky. Not so ideal for use with a tumbler that uses a straw, because of the central placement there’s just no room for the straw. Alas, I enjoy the ice cubes and I have excitedly shown many guests the giant ice cubes. Sometimes it’s the simple things.
