I Love Visagle products!

Another great piece from this company. I have 8-10 different pieces from Vasagle already. I put this piece together by myself in about 2 hours. I’m not a handy person, so someone who was could put this together very quickly. I am waiting on another two items to arrive this week. These are an excellent value. I have them throughout my home. They all coordinate so well. You really cannot go wrong purchasing any of their products.

Good for what it is

This is a decent piece of press board furniture that fits industrial style decor. Assembly is easy but the instructions leave something to be desired. The piece is plenty sturdy for it's intended purpose and adds good storage space to an office.

Classroom Usage

The directions are difficult to follow and assemble took 2.5 hours. If I had followed my gut instead of the instructions I would have been done in an hour. The overlook met all of my requirements for rustic/industrial look (my classroom is cow themed). So far the filing cabinet holds all the files I need for quick access. My printer sits on top and so far doesn’t seem to shake the whole piece, again it isn’t attached my primary desk/work area. The shelves are VERY narrow, a book will not stand it must lay. I’ve found small baskets to use on the shelves for quick grab items I need.

Not impressed with instructions

I don't know yet if I am going to like this assembled because I am so frustrated with the visual instructions. I have assembled more than my fair share of furniture (11 military moves...). Despite my best and careful efforts to follow the directions precisely, I still cannot tell fronts from backs in the images. It certainly will a hard-won victory when I finally get it assembled. Edited to Add: Rating changed from 2 stars to 4 stars. I did have to unassemble this piece twice during assembly, which I found to be exceedingly frustrating. On one of those occasions, a preinstalled screw sheath come out from its hole. I contacted the seller and they promptly sent a replacement piece. Customer service was good and we are happy with the finished product. I really like the wheel in the center of the file shelf. The file draw is large and I think the wheel will provide valuable additional support. Good design. I'm really hoping the manufacturer will revisit their written instructions.

Very nice, worth it

There was at least one spare part of every item. I was impressed with the quality. Usually it’s a flimsy backing but this was thick and sturdy. The only negative thing I have to say is that the metal frames are different and they have a front and a back and it matters which side they are on. The instructions were unclear with this vital information.

Thinner "wood" and lighter hardware

I agree wholly with another reviewer about frustrations with illustration-only instructions. I almost always put at least one piece turned around the wrong way, and you really can't tell by the picture. The moisture-hugging particle-board "wood" is what I expected more or less, but I still hate it, but can't afford solid wood. The short wood screws don't hold into this "wood" very well at all, and are extremely easy to strip. The cam-lock pieces seem to be getting lighter, flimsier, and otherwise more easily broken as years go by. I easily damaged a couple of cam holes in the thin pieces of "wood", which is a poor design vs. thicker pieces. To top it off, several pages of the end of the instruction manual were missing. I hope I can find it online. My advice is to find another manufacturer's similar product that has somewhat thicker "wood", and better hardware fasteners.

Very nice piece

This is an addition to my home office and matches several other pieces. Diagrams were decent, extra hardware included, a little tricky for one person to do alone but I managed. The entire bottom drawer pulls out as one (not two drawers) on quality rails on each side. There is only one wheel, in the center as a support and guide. Works very well. I recommend this piece.

Size was perfect

Fits everything I needed it for and looks great exactly what I was looking for.
