Just as good as makita

I work with a guy who has $800 Makita vacuum, and this vacuum is every bit as good as that. Suction is incredible and it’s really quiet. Hose is a bit stiff, but it works fine. Don’t worry about buying this, it’s great.

Great shop vac

My first shop vac. Remodeling-- many big messes. I would note the filter eats up a lot of the bucket capacity. Will fill up faster than one might expect. I'm happy with it though. Picks up rocks, chunks, massive dust suction. Heppa seems good to me.

Looks to be very good vac...mine arrived damaged..update-more problems with it!

UPDATE: 3/25/22- I'm raising the rating to 3, not because the new filter fit (it did not) but due to the great service I have received from this company. I call, and they respond. Unfortunately, despite myself and them verifying which filter should be in this cleaner, the sent out the same thing that I already had. So I looked at it, took more measurements, and decided that by carefully cutting the thick gasket down, the HEPA filter will still seal and also provide height reduction to allow the stud to catch the retaining bolt, thus drawing it snug. It worked! Keep in mind though, a HEPA filter install requires that the cage be removed and the bolt taped into place, otherwise you will need to hold the heavy motor over your head to keep it all in place and be able to see what you're doing. That's it, a good cleaner with a frustrating HEPA filter but worth a hundred bucks. UPDATE: 3/19/22- The new cage arrived, however, once assembled, the HEPA filter simply does not fit it! The stud which is supposed to mount between the bottom, inside of the cage, up into the bottom of the filter via a small hole. I screwed with this thing for an hour attempting to make sense of the sketchy instructions which resemble a stick man diagram. You must somehow retain this plastic screw while sliding the filter over the cage, up through the bottom hole and finally securing with a large nut. Since there is nothing to hold the plastic screw into position (it will fall into the bottom of the housing) I used a small piece of duct tape. That worked fine, however, the bolt is too short, or is it? Upon checking the parts list, I found that the filter included with the cleaner is WRONG! See the parts list/top of filter picture. Now I know how the bottom was broken from the cage! Someone, probably first customer this thing was sent out to, tried to force the filter, cage and nut to work and it pulled the bottom completely out of the cage. The filter is approximately 1/2" too tall so the stud cannot penetrate up through the bottom of the filter to allow the retaining nut to be installed. I shall attempt to contact the seller one more time to see whether they respond with the correct filter. The cage came quickly as I have a job I need to complete with this HEPA vacuum and had informed them of same. If they get the correct part to me quickly, I shall also update this review quickly. The cleaner is quite heavy, which to me, is not a bad trait. Most of the attachments appear to be reasonably well made (for a shop vac). Mine, unfortunately, was packed at the factor with a damaged filter cage (see pictures). There is no way that this damage could have occurred during transit, as the heavy box was in perfect shape. Shame on the employee whom broke this part and sent it out "as is". Another feature I really like is the extra long suction hose which is far more flexible than any shop vacuum I've used. Additionally, the large rear wheels and front casters work very well together (I dragged it around the room by the hose :-) Unlike some reviews I've read, the tank latches seem quite stout. I spent ten minutes on the phone with the factory outlet and was assured, they have the part in stock and will ship out first thing in the morning. If they do so, I'll raise my review to a FIVE. If not, It'll be a ONE. I'm moving on to another job 1200 miles away and need this thing running prior to leaving. Good luck!

Literally, everything in its way. Great suction, reasonably quiet and a sturdy quality product. Only had this a short time, but this should hold up for quite a long time.

5 missing parts when unpacked

Re-review!! I found the supposedly missing parts in the very bottom of the box as I wa breaking it down to recycle My bad!!! It is a great vacuum although very big it does the job well This is my second purchase of this vac first one got left outside in the rain but didnt want to chance the dirt in the bag gettng mold. really liked it due to comprehensive hepa system Unpaved 2nd new one today Very unimpressed that there were 4 missing parts which required a trip to the hardware store unprofessionally packed and poor quality control bummer

Excellent Value

I just recently purchased this powerful Vacmaster and I am glad I bought it. I already had a 12 gallon Vacmaster and I needed a smaller one.with better dust filtration to use on another job site. This vacuum, with its 4 filters, does an Excellent Job filtering out the fine dust particles when I attach it to my power tools. I recommend buying a separate bag to store the attachments in. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Complex and tricky filter system

Arrived with a broken float filter cage but customer service was exceptional - I actually spoke to a human and she said I would have the replacement part in 3-5 days. Graphics in the user manual are poor. They indicate you could just screw on the filter which I could not - possibly because the attachment point was broken. I'll have to await the replacement parts to determine. The microfiber prefilter (part 7) uses a large screw clamp system to attach it around the HEPA Cartridge filter, requiring some time with a screwdriver to take it off or replace it. To go to wet vac operations, you must remove these filters, so it is going to take some time. The manual does not address how to use either Power Tool Adapter (part 24) or the Metal Accessory Adapter (part 25). After seeing that the plastic vacuum accessories do not fit onto the steel wand - which is unusual for a vacuum cleaner - after some experimentation, I determined that you actually must use an adapter (which is provided) to allow the wand to fit to the crevice and dust brush tools (but not the floor nozzle). The user guide should at least show a picture of how to use the adapter and sentence that simply says the adapter must be used for two of the accessories. The average human will figure it our eventually even without instruction. Summary: better care in packaging, a simpler filter attachment system, and clearer instructions with better images/pictures would be quite helpful. The vacuum cleaner does seem to work fine and is quite powerful.

This beast can handle heavy use!

So I got bad news from an asbestos testing company that my walls had asbestos content which I had unknowingly drilled into and contaminated my whole apartment. I decided to clean everything myself and I found this vacuum seeing that it is stated as a certified HEPA which can gather up asbestos fibres. Basically when this vacuum arrived I spent a full week full-time cleaning the absolute life out of literally everything in my home. Im not kidding this vacuum was continuously working for 18 hours every single day for 7 days straight as I vacuumed every single item and surface that I possessed. At the end of the cleanup the suction power still had not degraded, the vacuum still worked strong, the prefilter bag was absolutely about to burst but that's my fault - I should've replaced it at the recomended 2/3rd mark. Otherwise the actual HEPA filter itself may have still been able to go through a few more prefilter bags, but since I did asbestos cleanup I decided to disgard it and start with a fresh filter for normal vacuuming. I've never owner a HEPA vacuum or shop style vac before but I have to say I have never been so impressed by a machine such as I had with this one. Considering its reasonable price given what it does it is worth every penny. There is one con in terms of usage: The cannister tends to tip over easily and this became one of my greatest fears during my cleanup as the hinges holding the motor and cannister assembly together can come loose easily, if that happens all the collected dust can potentially spill out and ruin your whole effort. This one point is certainly a huge problem which made me consider giving this a 4 star rating, but given its sheer stamina for my massive cleanup job I have to say it outweighs that con. Just be weary of that potential hazard, otherwise this is a great vac.

Great vacuum!

I waited for about a month to review this vacuum so I could use it in different areas. It's awesome! I have high ceilings with beams that were very dusty. I vacuumed the beams with this vacuum from the floor. No need for a ladder or step stool. It did a great job. So... I started vacuuming everything... Drapes, carpets, etc. The hepa filter is great! My home is dust free and fresh smelling. I originally bought this vacuum for the shop and mud room,( Which it did a great job too). The dust bag holds a lot of material. I have not, as of yet used it for water clean up. It was delivered in perfect shape, and came in two days! (I'm impressed). My biggest concern is the top of the vacuum, where the motor is, gets quite hot. I don't know if this is normal? or am I running it for too long of periods? (20 to 30 mins at a time). All in all, this is a great vacuum for the price. I am very happy with this purchase.

Awesome

This is a very good vacuum. The filter is big, but over all , there is still 6 gal of space in there for dust. It has a lot of water-lift, comes with everything, reasonably quiet. Best air-filtration I have ever seen on a vacuum. It is designed for a lot of fine dust, rather than big wood-chips. Check out there Website to buy the right Vac for the job you throw at it.

A best buy item

This vacuum is a solid deal. Good suction, compact, and solidly built. The hose connects securely to the vacuum and can't come loose as you pull it along. The wand and accessories are well built and work well too. I connect my orbital sander directly to the 1 1/2 hose and it works great. No trace of dust exits this vacuum, and it is reasonably quiet.
