Pretty Good so far

I have a small pool that is expose to the elements and have had a bit of a tiresome experience keeping it blue blue during certain seasons. So far so good. I’ve used this for about a month and pool looks great! If anything changes I’ll update.

These Really Works!

I've been seeing these for several years, but I was skeptical in purchasing because of the price. So, this year after reading many positive reviews I thought I'd bite the bullet and give it a try. And guess what "IT WORKS"! This saved me much work and cleanup time getting my green algae pool ready to swim in. After following the direction on packaging our pool was clear blue within 24 hours. It is supposed to keep working for up to 6 months and I'll be purchasing again when needed.

THE BEST PRODUCT!

I live in South Florida, so we are always in season. I had an issue with black Alge last summer. I bought several products from local pool stores and online. They were a little less expensive but required HOURS of scrubbing and did not get the results this did in ONE DAY! It is unbelievable! You totally clean your pool and filter than simply put this in the skimmer just before the pump and let it run. I have a variable speed pump. I turned the speed down and let it run all night. The next day the results were unbelievable. Probably 90 % of the Alge is GONE with NO work on my part. They say it take 2 weeks to fully work but I am extremely happy with the results so far.

Works better than other algicides that I've tried

Pool RX+ is the only algicide that would remove the yellow algae in my pool. At right around 18,000 gallons, 1 unit worked for roughly 4 months (late June through mid October) during a crazy heat wave in Southern California. I'm talking 2 straight months of 95 degrees plus without a break. My pool was sparkling. It did not remove a little bit of black algae that sits atop the ring of the underwater pool light, but nothing a stiff bristle brush can't handle. That was the 1 star ding because it states that it will remove ALL types of algae. I should also mention my plaster is heavily pitted, and in need of replaster, so the algae really sits into the pits. So far, only yellow is gone. But it was GONE where other shock treatments would not work at all. A couple days after the treatment, my filter needed to be cleaned because of all the algae that it pushed through the system. After that, I replaced my old filter grids (they were very old) and had a perfect pool. Here we are at the 4 month mark and I'm going to purchase another unit because some yellow algae is resurfacing in the corners of the pool by the steps. While this product is in use, I was able to keep my chlorine at 1 PPM throughout summer, whereas before it had to be at 3-4 PPM just to handle the algae and it would still hang around. I'm confident Pool RX+ will take care of it for the duration of the cooler months until it gets hot again around May-June. I don't image using this product more than 2 times per year, but 3 wouldn't be a deal breaker considering the cost of annual chlorine. I should note that I am a CPO and take care of my own pool, so I monitor things probably more often than the average homeowner would who only gets pool service 1 time per week. This product is super easy to use for anyone and I highly recommend it if you are having problems taming algae with other algicides. Give it a try.

All pool owners need this!

We had a green algae problem followed by some black algae this spring. After treating it with chemicals and getting the chemistry balanced, I put one of these in my pump basket after cleaning my DE filter for the swim season. My pool has never looked this good! I’m not seeing any algae buildup when I do my weekly scrub and it is crystal clear. Highly recommend. I will never not have one of these things again!

Had algae in the first 2 weeks

I bought this and placed it in the skimmer basket of my newly filled (above groung) pool with it's brand new filter. The direction say not to backwash the filter for 2 weeks. At the end of 2 weeks I had algae growth every where!. I had to shock the pool and spent close to an hour vacuuming up the algae from the bottom of the pool. I bought a rpack of replacement minerals but I think the fact that I had to replace within 2 weeks is ridiculous. This was a very expensive lesson. I will update if it stays cleaner for longer than 2 weeks after I replace the minerals

Works Perfectly

Try it and you'll buy it again. This was recommended by a pool repair guy, and it was surprisingly effective. I now use it twice a year and my pool water stays clear and chlorine usage has been cut in half.
