Braided
It's string, but always go for the braided not twisted

Nice cord!
This cord feels nice and strong! I plan to use it for a tomato trellis this summer. Some people were complaining that it was too thin and didn't hold a knot well but it seems to hold a knot just fine and its a nice size cord for the price so no complaints here!

Good nylon twine, definitely prone to unravel at the ends
Despite claims that the braiding makes it less liable to fray, this is extremely liable to fray -- if you cut an end, you'll need to tie it off (or heat seal it). And, it's slippery, so make sure your knots are good and tight. If rubbed against anything sharp it can abrade, fray, and come apart. (These are all issues common to most nylon twine of this type.) Otherwise, it's perfectly great and stronger than you'd think. Without scissors, I don't think I could break it. It's unbothered by water or weather. I use it as generic household twine for all kinds of purposes.

Product sent NOT genuine T.W Evans Cordage 12-500 Number-1 Braided Nylon Mason Line
The product I received from Amazon is not T.W Evans Cordage 12-500 Number-1 Braided Nylon Mason Line as shown in the Amazon listing. The label does not list a manufacturer, only that it was made in China. The label says "Braided Mason Twine" "#18 x 500 ft 1/2 lbs" "Premium Braided" "Contractor Grade" "Reloadable Reel Refill". Nowhere does the label state the line is made of nylon, although clearly the line material is synthetic. Also, no break strength is listed. SUBSEQUENT EDIT: I'm raising the overall rating from one star to four stars, because the product provided does appear to have satisfactory quality. I'm dinging it one star, because the no-brand Chinese product sent is not what is shown and promised in the Amazon product listing.

Braided Nylon = strong and convenient!
We bought this because in our tiny hamlet all we can get locally is TWISTED cord, not braided. Twisted means it unravels horribly and you have to melt or knot each cut end. Twisted cord can also untwist piles mid-length if the cord is not under tension. Super annoying. So we were grateful to find this braided cord available here at a reasonable price. We mainly use it to tie up our vining plants (cherry tomatoes, small melons, cukes) to get them out of the grow beds to make room for more plants. But we've also used it to tie down shade cloth, tarps, etc. It's very thin but very strong.

Perfect pull cord for your roll-up window shade.
Light weight Braided Line that doesn't come unravelled after a few use. Perfect for light to medium weight pull-up or roll-up shades, replacing the old or making new.

Works well
While this is NOT the T.W. Evans brand advertised, so far this braided cord is working well attaching to a trellis, arch, etc., allowing trailing vines (such as mandevilla) to wrap itself around while growing. With a few months left in the season, it's holding the weight so far without snapping or rotting and is easier to work with and tie than monofilament fishing line for the same purpose. 4 stars because the seller should update the name, brand and picture.

Good string
We use this to tie up our newspapers to have them recycled.

Great product. Does the job.
Useful item used to support plant growth in the garden. The nylon material doesn't degrade when introduced to water. A little expensive.

Okay.
Not as strong as I'd hoped, but does keep boxes together for recycling.

A little thin, but good value
The cord is a little thin for my liking, but it does the trick. Good value for the money.
