Having watched the French play, over 2 years on their canals and rivers, just had to have a set!

Initially I was a bit put off by the mixed reviews covering several years but took a chance. A *QUALITY* set and *SUPER VALUE*! After reviewing a variety of 'sets' and vendors on Amazon, even though some use the terminology 'regulation' (size and material) there really appears to be no regulation. The balance, weight and surface of the balls is super. Although there are numerous negative comments regarding the bag, the boxy, rectangular one with strap handles that I received seemed quite strong and durable although, frankly, because of the 16 lb+ weight of the equipment may create a bit of a challenge down the road. The design and stitching are good and the material is a heavy synthetic material similar to our awnings. The balls, while really comfortable for this 70-something 'ole geezer, seem a bit larger than those we saw in the French communities, but are super playable for all. The simplicity, yet challenge, of the game, somewhat like pool or billiards with their English, is A WHALE OF A LOT OF FUN FOR ALL . . . AND ALMOST ADDICTIVE ! ! ! Now, I gotta' get a set for my son-in-law and grandsons.

Buy for the balls, not the bag.

Not interested in the smaller 90mm balls that seem to be the best sellers on Amazon, I decided to give Triumph Sports a chance since they had the more affordable 100mm sets available. The balls are a good size. A very noticeable difference in size and weight compared to the 90mm balls that I feel are just too small for bocce. The colors are fine, although the black is only marginally easier to see than green balls in the grass. Red and blue would be the best colors for people playing mostly on the lawn. While I am happy with the balls, I am a bit disappointed with the bag. It's soft vinyl with a wrap-around-the top zipper and a cardboard box inside it to maintain its shape. I'll be keeping the cardboard box in there, as without it I feel the balls will warp and make the bag useless. It's a heavy set, and because the handles are sewn in the top and do not wrap around the bottom, I do not dare to carry the bag without one hand under the bottom for safety. In summary; They are decent bocce balls and good for the price, but I would have gladly paid an extra $10-$15 for a heavy duty, padded storage bag.

Solid Set

This is a solid bocce ball set. Pretty cheap compared to others that I have seen, but seems like a regular set. Good gift!

Great for serious play

This set is just a shade below regulation bocce sets. A little smaller and lighter. Perfect for backyard, but more serious than plastic fun only sets. We leave ours out for year long play in Indiana and they have lasted three years. They are just starting to show wear and hence, the new set.

A Brand New Outside Game!

Especially for this Years' Hobby and slowing pace now ???? too! Last year we had had our smallish-city backyard redone. It is so enjoyable, again! We needed a new Hobby, which I think ya gotta begin with "Quality-made" items or materials, parts, games, whatever your New endeavor is! (Wait!, Depending if the new Endeavor say Is. "Bocci Ball"! AND, within $$-reason, that is! Knowing absolutely nothing about bocci ball, except that it can be played with 2-4 players and within a small area, Perfect! This set Blew Us Away! It is a vibrantlly-colored, heavy and real Quality! Well again, as far as I have not ever seen this game in my life, my husband hasn't either. We're excited though, to enjoy learning with our families & friends, making wonderful fun times! Recommended!!

Great Except For The Case

I like all of this except the carrying case- it tore the first time I put all the balls in it and picked it up. The bag without the box that comes with it is also not ideal. I’d recommend leaving the box in the case and cutting off the flaps. In general a better carrying case would be worth the money, but right now I’m probably going to need to buy a better c setting case. This should also come with a tape measure. Otherwise, I think we will get lots of great memories with it and the balls seem to be great quality.

Wrong color, otherwise awesome!

These are great. Wish they were red and green though. Still love them. Black and red is actually better for color blind and/or older players, so I'm sure my appreciation will grow :)

Good deal!

Great game and quality of everything except the carrying case. Needs to be reinforced to carry everything. I cut the top off the box it got shipped in and pushed it inside the carrying case to support the weight of the balls.
