The directions were terrible cause it only have one picture.
The directions were terrible there was a picture and it didn’t really show which way to turn the small blade. Took us about a hour to figure it out. It should of only took 3 minutes to put it together.

Clean up
I used this grinder to help my aging dog to eat her food easier. I took the unit apart and cleaned it with soap and hot water. Later that day, I was going to reassemble it but, the cutter blades and the strainer disc had started to rust. I recleaned them and coated them with cooking oil.

Coarse construction
It appears that it came directly out of a casting with a very rough texture to the unit. The plate is very susceptible to rust. When hand washing set aside to rinse began to show rust almost immediately. Coated everything with veg oil and had to store in plastic bag.

Just okay.
The meat grinder is really sturdy made and not that difficult to take apart and clean the parts. The problem I encountered was the blade. It came NOT sharp at all! The dull spinning thing that actually was not doing its job. I washed it in the sink without any chemicals and dried with a kitchen towel. The towel got brownish stains and the blade itself was all rusted next morning. I kept it on the paper napkin for a complete drying, but it still got all rusted. Basically I may be using this manual grinder for making bread crumbs from the stale bread or grinding nuts, but not for meat. It did not do that job at all.

Dangerous to even own
Do not buy this product. After I received it of course I opened it up, assembled it and tested it out. It was rough going and crudely built but I figured I'd give it a try anyway after I washed it out with soap to get rid of the manufacturing chemical smells. I disassembled the grinder and soaked all the parts in hot water and dishwashing soap overnight in a large plastic bowl. The next morning the water was a yellowish color and when I dumped out the water there were all kinds of metal particles in the bottom of the bowl and all the parts were rusted where the tin had worn off. The tin coating had clearly flaked off in the threads and any other area that had rubbed in the few minutes that I had tried it out and would have gone into my food had I actually been grinding anything. Also the blade was rusted and the grinder plate was heavily rusted. Between the future metal particles in my food, the instant rust, the rough mechanical operation and the yellow (toxic plating?) chemicals on the metal I never even used it on food and am instead trying to return it as I don't even want this thing in my house. As far as I am concerned this thing should not even be on the market and I pray for the people who are eating metal flakes in their food without even knowing it. I hope I don't have any problems returning this product and getting my money back. Follow up: I have been searching Amazon for a way to contact them that in my opinion this product is unsafe to public health and should not even be sold on this site as Amazon may also become liable for health damage claims but so far I have not been able to find a way to contact them about this.

Almost just like the old one
Purchased to replace one that was given to a nephew. This one is a little lighter weight. The old one was vintage-45 years old and still going strong. Hope this one lasts 1/2 that long. The threads are a little tricky, takes a couple of tries to make sure it is treaded correctly so it is on tight. The clamp for the counter is okay. It comes completely apart for washing. Again, unscrewing for washing takes patients.

It's very big for a small meat grinder
This meat grinder is very big. I would only recommend this to someone who does a lot of meat grinding and I don"t. so please send me a shipping label to return this item. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a good day.

Decent if you dont mind a work out.
Took about 1 1/2 hour non stop to grind 10 pounds of pork butt and another hour to stuff 5 pounds of sausage . A lot of the time was cleaning the blade and gears. Recomend going slow with smaller leaner pieces of meat. Fat and gristle bind up. Definitely a workout. At least there is no motor to burn out. Fair product but blade and grinding plate are off a bit. So slow but fun. Update: ground 5 pounds of boneless chicken thighs in about 20 minutes. Seems to grind easier than pork.
