Great silverware, dishwasher safe, I've had this set for a while now and holds up great.

Good for Household Use/Do not buy as a Gift

It’s a pretty standard twenty piece stainless-steel silverware set except the hammered handle design adds an interesting, chic, and textured element. The manufacturer claims that this silverware never needs polishing, which sounds attractive, but time will show. The set didn’t wow us but it’s surely a more interesting set than the ones we have in the house so we are happy with it. If you are looking to give silverware as a gift, I would recommend choosing something else because it is certainly not a high-end product that will impress with quality and design, and the packaging is nothing special. But if you are looking to buy it for yourself, it’s a good set. It serves four and was a good buy for our three person family unit.

Good heft to the pieces which I like a lot

I love silverware that has a heft to it, a solid feeling, and this Towle Living 5226285 Lawton 20-Piece flatware set has a good heavy feeling to it. I have a range of flatware around the house, ranging from cheesy lightweight stuff to solid silver and I think this stainless set is currently my favorite. I really the dimple surface and for some reason it feels very comfortable in my hands. The forks seem oddly big to me (the fork tines, not the handle) and if I have any criticism that would be it. I guess I'm just not used to such big forks--but they hold the food and that's what matters, lol. In fact, because the dinner forks are so big, I can hack away at a baked potato and come up with a decent mouthful. I really do like this set a lot and I'm going to use it for my everyday ware from now on. Life is short, might as well treat myself to a few nice things!

Sturdy, with a good shape and pattern

This is a pretty sturdy flatware set—the handles are quite thick, except for the portion just of the tines. The handles are squarish and straight, so they don’t rotate when you use hold them, and they do not fall off of plates when you’re carrying them back to the sink after dinner (a big gripe with our previous flatware set). The pattern on the handles hides fingerprints. The teaspoons are a little shorter than those in our previous flatware set, by about a centimeter, and they do feel very small. But I like the dimensions and shapes of the other utensils—for example, the large spoons have a quite large diameter, but they aren’t too shallow and aren’t too deep, so they are very comfortable to use for soup and such. The large forks have sharp sides, and the entire utensil is sturdy and straight, so cutting food is easy. I don’t expect this set to last for decades—perhaps a few years. It’s a good set for the price.

Nice Set, Washes Fine

Flatware sets are a little odd in life. It seems like you buy a set and then that's it for the next 20+ years. When I go back home to visit my parents, the forks and spoons are the same ones I grew up with all those years ago. So purchasing a set can really affect your life for quite some time. This set is pretty good. The handles look fancy. The size is totally fine. The only thing that doesn't thrill me is the instruction not to let them soak, but I mostly ignore that stuff and just throw things in the sink and dishwasher like I always have. So far, that doesn't seem to be any kind of an issue. They feel solid and strong, and I haven't had any issues with them. They also come in a nice package, so if given as a gift it would look very nice in its presentation.

Excellent Quality

My favorite thing about this flatware is that it's weighty and solid. There's no flex at all. The butter knives don't bend if you use them for something other than soft butter. Definitely great quality. The handles feel good in the hand, and each piece is well balanced. My only criticism is the fork tines are quite thick and bulky.

My first set...

I like this set of silverware very much. What I had prior to this, was a mix match of what I've picked up here and there. Now I have a nice, "real" set of silverware. They are slightly heavy, is the only down fall. But that is something that can be gotten used too as time goes on.

Nice and Shiny

20 good pieces, 4 forks, 4 salad forks, 4 knives, 4 tablespoons and 4 teaspoons. The style is a little different but looks good. I think the price is too high for what you get, no serving pieces at all.
