Stained by blueberries
The pan is sturdy and the coffee cake I made in it came out cleanly. My only complaint is that the blueberries used in the coffee cake stained the pan. I didn't expect that. I used a flour spray on the pan and didn't think that it would stain.

Pretty Close to Perfect
Wish Nordic Ware offered a "premium" version...thicker build, sturdier non-stick (safely dishwasher-able), and "rope" handles like on their anniversary and platinum bundt pans, "leaflettes" cake pan, apple basket loaf pan, etc. for easier gripping & maneuvering. Quibbles aside, this pan is almost exactly what I searched long and hard to find...a 1-piece tube pan with a large, straight tube and smooth contours, unlike the variety of "slanted" angel-food cake and Bundt pans and 2-piece springform pans with "faux Bundt" tube inserts on offer. Found a few similar vintage Pyrex tube pans but preferred this shatter-proof metal version. My year of COVID baking has convinced me that this is the easiest solution to square baking pans (metal AND Pyrex) with perfectly baked perimeter servings and underbaked centers of everything from my family's TDF cornbread to Alton Brown's Blueberry Buckle. Tried it last night with a double batch of cornbread and it worked to perfection. Following usage directions, I did NOT spray with non-stick spray but rather smeared it well with soft butter before pouring in my batter. The finished cornbread slid out like a dream and was beautifully browned all over, yielding perfect slices. After dinner, I quickly hand-washed the pan which was super-easy since the interior is smooth AND not a speck of anything stuck to it! I've deducted one star for the burn I got wrestling the pan out of the oven and flipping the contents onto a serving plate sans handles, especially since I suspect I'm going to be putting LOTS of happy miles on this baby and grumbling about those missing handles every time I use it.

Oh yeah! Loving this pan.
Yes, it sticks a little even with the enamel. But I love this pan. It reminds me of an old tube pan my grandma made butter pound cakes with (all by hand, no mixer) when I was little. I'd never owned a pan like this. I always had used the bundt-style pans and they are fine but they have the narrow tube and in the middle and this cake pan, hands down cooks more evenly than any bundt pans I own (and I have quite a few). The wider tube must allow for more even distribution of heat because for nearly all of my pound cake recipes, I have to always extend the cooking time by at least five minutes and sometimes more depending on the recipe. I have a Swedish pound cake recipe that I love, but the only leavening in it is whipped egg whites so it takes forever to cook at 300 degrees plus I always have to extend the baking time by 15 minutes or so. This can cause the exterior of the cake to get a little darker than desired. Not with this little gem! Look at the pic of the pound cake I made today! Perfectly golden. No tough crust from having to leave it in the oven longer because of a wet center! The only thing is that you have to grease and flour heavily. I'm typically a "cooking spray and light dusting of flour" type of girl but with this pan (with what I have observed with my pound cake recipes so far) if you don't coat the pan with something heavier like butter and then flour it, you may notice patches of your perfectly golden crust still stuck to the sides when you flip the cake out...even after allowing it to cool the appropriate amount of time and running a knife around it. I still give it 5 stars. It's durable by today's standards and makes a beautiful cake.

I was looking for a large middle hole and flat bottom and got those.
The pan meets my check points except—- I had no idea that it was so lightweight. Looking at the picture when I ordered it, it looked heavier. I am concerned that it will brown too much from the thin walls while cooking the center more raw. I have yet to try it but I think when it is described that the lightweight should have been mentioned. I have several Nordic Bundt pans that are much heavier and that’s what I expected. I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised when I cook the first cake.
