NOT SURE YET!!!

I have been using this for a few weeks, but there are some problems that can only be rectified by using it for a bit longer and trying to get a good feel for it and how it operates. So far I don't like how the processor is a bit sluggish while I am on the move and it is taking to long to load my new request. Or how it does not display cross streets when I am driving to two cross streets and no address as is how I conduct my business for delivery, huge problem! I have to resort back to my I phone which gives you cross streets and is really quick at displaying my needs. I wanted the TOM TOM to be the new and only navigation in my truck so I could use my phone for other things as needed, without having navigation interruptions, of any kind from my incoming emails, phone calls, etc. Also, TOM TOM does not give you alternate routes as you proceed on your way to your destination, only one rout that is a huuuuge mistake on any driver that does not get multiple routes to choose from, I don't know if there is an option in settings to adjust this, troublesome to say the least. As of right now the TOM TOM is running next to my phone in my truck, but only is looked at to see upcoming streets, my phone is much better at getting me there reliably. I thought that since this is a navigation unit that it would have these basic functions down pact, but so far it looks like a Mercedes with a Hyundai engine inside. Honestly, I don't know what to do with it, to late to return it, and am concerned that it will never be better then I am hoping for. In its defense, there are a few bells and whistles that are very cool, and I have to do more research before I say it is bad or great, so maybe I will get the proper instruction for the adjustments that I need from going to their website and all will be well? In it to win it.

4 a Truck Gps! This be best choice.., undoubtedly!

Like I have said already! This be the best choice 4 a Commercially driven vehicle- primarily a truck, Gps… is what I need! In my opinion this is the best choice 4 what I needed it 4. Just a truck routed Gps that is pretty accurate and as of ease-of-use 1-@ that! This-1- 4 the price, but it is essentially important 2 search around! This same model I’ve seen 4 a buck to a buck50 more! This one i found for under $250! But u have to search 4 it! Or pay upwards of $300!

Best gps for truckers,no doubt

Man this ting is so good,went to New York and it routed me perfect…and you know the low bridge ting over there. Once you master the right settings its on,update with wifi(might be quirky)but will work and for live traffic download the mydrive app and connect with bluetooth. Fast,good display,very well made truck made

ALMOST PERFECT

I like almost everything about it. Speeding alert, self dimming,great suction mounting, lifetime maps, automatic updates, traffic cams. The things I did not like about it, that should be on a trucking GPS and are not, are 1. No state line approaching notify (this is on my other 2 non trucker GPS units) 2. no upcoming weigh station/permit location notify . The third thing I did not like about it, is the manual that came with it was not good at all, telephone help would not help until you agreed to purchase warranty and wanted your credit card number, and had foreign accents I could not understand anyway. It was a Christmas present and I am still online trying to find out how to use it.

This is a little power house.

This is my first time purchasing a Tom Tom GPS. Model 620 for trucks. I have always used Garmin and just returned one This unit is user friendly for set up It takes an SD card for additional space. It was half the price. I am extremely happy with my purchase. And highly suggest for truck drivers.

Finding locations difficult, syncing to phone impossible with old smartphone

I deliver fuel driving a tanker transport. I often go to fuel stations that are new or recently renamed. I also go to places where addresses are not given to me by dispatch such as excavation pits, construction sites, etc... I used to find these places on my phone using satellite maps following directions to the nearest intersection and then use the point on map feature using my Garmin to get me to that spot. But Tom Tom wont let you create a route without an address at all. Doesn't do me any good. Also tryin to find a spot where a highway has to be named just the right way also frustrating, Ex. US-10, US Highway 10, Highway 10, Hwy 10, US Hwy 10, 10 US Hwy, you get the point.

I received my tomtom trucker GPS today 05/18/20 this item looks like it was a open box item the box was ripped and the charging cord was just shoved in the box just so you know I will use this we I go back out on the road to see if there is any damgae to the product Thank you Chuck Jones

Utiliser pour me guider en voiture et en camion 53 pieds . Ok après avoir regarder pour acheter un gps camion j'ai décider d'acheter celui là Première impression en le recevant "CES BIEN PETIT " On est en 2020 tomtom vous êtes pas capable de faire un écran plus grand sans que ça coûte 800 $ Entuca.... Ensuite j'installe tomtom home et my drive connect IMPOSSIBLE de faire reconnaître le gps par ces 2 système et croyez j'ai essayer Pour ensuite apprendre que les nouveau modèle de gps tom tom sont pas compatible avec tom tom home 3 jours de perdu à essayer . Je me tourne vers my drive oui il reconnaît mon gps mais il fait juste mettre à jour la carte de voiture map 2020 Mais pour les camion rien à faire ma carte date de 3 ans 2017 et le gps me dit felicitation votre gps est à jour . Ce qui n'est pas le cas du tout . J'ai essayer de désinstaller de réinstaller , de remettre le gps à L'état d'usine et rien à faire il refuse de ce mettre à jour . Et la en plus durant une mise à jour de la carte pour voiture tom tom à effacer ma vielles carte de camion Alors fini je suis décourager Même plus accès à des réglage de camion et plus de vielles cartes non plus . Ces quoi ça Tu paye une fortune pour un gps camion et ça marche pas pantoute . Très très déçu de tom tom . Mon vieux tom tom xl fonctionne encore après 16 ans . Alors je vous conseille de faire comme moi et pas acheter ce gps . Moi je lai retourner après une très mauvaise expérience Je suis camionneur alors j'ai pas 3 jours à perdre à essayer de faire marcher un TROP petit appareils Réveillez vous tomtom car tout le monde va faire comme moi et acheter garmin. Après avoir écrit à tom tom pour de l'aide aucun retour de leurs part . Mise a jour a vie oui ces ça Même pas capable d'en faire juste une petite . Vraiment décourager de ces faux gps de camion qui marche a 40 % correctement ne pas acheter .????????????????

Great tool for less .

So far so good . I always loved TomTom , used my 6" car model for years . Now the truckers GPS is good for basic navigation and will find most of POI and addresses. It won't give you traffic updates as the software doesn't work in Canada and USA , I still use Google maps with it . Glass display is great in any light , I like graphic design much better over Garmin that I've used before ,especially Line Navigation . I was surprised but It didn't freeze in a tunel but kept showing my movement . Easy set up , you have to learn how to use it like any other device . And the price . I got it for less than $250 CAN refurbished , it came in original package with little tiny scrach on plastic cover. You can't beat that deal .

Sends me down non truck routes constantly. To look up an address I have to connect my hotspot from the phone to the device. Not supposed to be like that. Ridiculous.

Certaines adresses mëme region de Montreal introuvables ! Et ce qui m'inquiete le plus,en Blue-Tooth avec mon cell,je tombe en itinérance avec un numéro des Etats-Unis,cela va me couter chere ?
