Must Have!

I can’t believe we went 3 years struggling to load our tritoon on windy days without these! They are a must have and this brand/style seem to be the way to go. (Due to the angled style being easily bent if hit hard) So I would 100% recommend these and this brand, however, I have 2 pretty solid gripes: 1) install instructions are poor. Mainly, where - specifically - on the trailer do they need to be installed? I had to run to the marina to ask advice. As it turns out, middle (front to back) is best. And, leave them ~2” away from your pontoon. Not flush to them. And 2) the metal is actually somewhat soft on the mounting plate. So when tightening w a 1/2” socket, I apparently wrenched it too tight and it bent the plate down causing a clear “wear”/crack in the weld. My fault 100% and I caught it immediately so it shouldn’t cause any long term problems. But, I’d think that plate would be more solid. And instructions should possibly say “don’t over tighten”. Otherwise, again, 100% would recommend.

Very Sturdy and MADE IN USA

I guess all the complaints about packaging were heard! My set came in perfect condition and the box was also perfect. They fit a 2 inch wide and 3 inch tall cross brace perfect. The hardware to mount these guides are 1/2 inch thick, 2 1/16 inches across at the inside of the top of the square, and just under 4 inches tall measured from the inside of u bolt. They appear to be Stainless Steel. If your cross brace is taller than 3 inches you are going to need longer u bolts. One other review mentions to leave 2 or 3 inches of space when you mount them on your trailer on each side, the directions show them mounted touching the inside of the pontoons. I totally agree with the leaving a couple inches of room if its wavy or windy this will still center your pontoons on the runners and give you a little wiggle room when your driving boat on trailer. I really like this beefy set of guides and personally even if they came in a rat eaten box I am glad to have them. After mounting the perfect box went to the landfill ;)

Works Well

It works well with my Pontoon Boat. Installation is easy. The only problem I have found is the way it is packed for shipping. Had to return one set. Packed so tightly that the plastic bumper get cracked by the other post frame

Excellent product, poor execution

These work really well. I bought one pair and found that it could actually make it more difficult to get on the trailer. The second pair was need. In both cases, however, there were missing nuts and washers. The plastic bag of parts was not sealed, parts fell out and disappeared. Sad.

Make life easier

Can't believe how easy it is to load the poontoon now. Just have to guide the front and the aft takes care of itself.

2 sets works better than 1

I bought 2 sets of these (4 uprights total) for my pontoon trailer. Mounted a set on the very back, another at the middle axle. That works perfectly. With just 1 set, while you get onto the trailer straight, the pontoon boat could drift off to the side as it went forward. Took only 10 minutes to install each set.

Excellent

Awesome addition to the trailer. Makes loading the pontoon very simple. Have only used for 1 season but seems to be holding up well and looks sturdy. Bought a second set for the middle as well for even easier alignment.

Guide ons that really work.

The pontoon guide ons are really well made and exceptionally easy to install. Just remember to leave 2" to 3" between guide on and inside the pontoons.Used one time on my 26ft. Legend pontoon and works excellent. Can not imagine loading my boat without them. Thanks for a quality product and worth every dollar. Ken Ontario Canada
