Best backpacking sleeping bag on the market for the price.
Just took this on a 3 day trip in the Rocky Mountains. This was the best sleeping bag the first night we slept by the river and it was in the 30's and I stayed warm. The next night we were at 11000 feet and I was a little worried about being cold. That night I was very warm and was very comfortable. I even had to unzip a little to allow some cool air in. The next night I was worried because the bag had gotten wet at the foot box. The dew from inside my tent had gotten on the sleeping bag in many places. Was unable to let it dry the next morning before packing it up so I knew it was going to be damp. When the night came it had rained that day so the ground was wet and it was getting cold. I got my bag out and it was real wet at the foot box and damp other places on the bag. I felt the sleeping bag it was real wet. I got in and could tell it was damp and cold so I prepared to be cold so I put on everything I had including my puffy coat. After 10 min I was hot my feet were hot and so I took all the extra off and was just fine it was in the upper 30's that night in a wet forest at about 9500 feet. The best purchase I have made for backpacking. Packs super small and I could fit it and all my cloths for the trip in the sleeping bag pocket on my 70l pack. Very good quality and would buy this bag again when it gets old and in need to replace. Probably will buy another for the family. Can't say enough good about it. If you are a little wide at the shoulder get the bigger size. My brother wished he had got the little bigger one. If you are wondering if you should get this or the $200 one. This is the better one. I feel the 20 is its comfort level. I was hot at upper 30's and wet. For the price it is worth it for sure. Just buy it and you won't regret it!

Warm
Ok so I haven't yet taken it camping. I have used it in my living room and was very warm and comfortable. Easy to put in the stuff pack and had room for my travel pillow which I accidentally put in the pack. Glad I took the chance on this bag. My husband who is 6' -210lb thought it was to tight on his shoulders so he is opting for the one that is 2' wider and a bit longer from the same company.

Good Warmth/Weight ratio
I went with the Altos 20-deg bag (blue) as an upgrade to an old-but-warm bag that is just too bulky for back country hiking. Took this out for a weekend campout and pleased with the quality. The Altos straight out of the bag for first use needed a few hours to expand the filler enough to provide decent insulation and by the following day of being left open it appeared to be fully expanded and quite fluffy. Both nights the temps were in the 30's and I was plenty comfortable with boxers, a t-shirt and socks as my personal layer. The footbox is a little tighter than I'm accustomed to but I did not feel constricted in any way and retained enough space where I could just barely slide my leg up in order to adjust my socks without having to unzip the bag (I'm 5'10", 170lb). The draft blocking flap around the inside seemed a little low but still effective (I didn't bother cinching it) and the cap/top of the bag has a nice bit of padding and insulation that was very comfortable and allowed me to sleep without a beanie cap, which was a really nice change from my usual cold-weather camping. This bag is rated as a 20-deg bag and I'm not confident it would keep me warm enough at that temp without wearing thermals and definitely heavy socks. I noticed that wherever my shoulder or knee happened to press against the fabric, I felt a cold spot. Not enough to get a chill, but noticeably colder. The footbox was warm enough and was better the second night after the fill thoroughly expanded. Overall I'm happy with this bag.

Measure your body first
I am 5'9 and I weight 225#. ok I'll just say it,. I'm burly! :)_ So this is a great sleeping bag, but if your burly like me you will find yourself getting cold because this will be to tight. Tight is not good when your trying to keep loft. So measure your complete torso. not just your Chest- Make sure your measuring around your elbow area- total circumference. Then if you look at the spec's and you feel you can fit in this bag with a little room- go for it.

Good down to 31F so far. great value
The general rule of thumb for females is that a sleeping bag should work at about 20F higher than its rating. So I'm hoping to use this 0-degree bag at 20F. - At 40F, in a long-sleeve shirt and pants, I was toasty! - At 31F, in a down jacket and pants, I felt a little chilly when I woke up, not terrible. - At 20F, i would be wearing more than 1 down jacket, so I still hope that this sleeping bag will work. - I was pairing it with a Big Agnes Insulated Air Core pad (r-value 4.5) At 5'7", i found that there was too much extra space in the bag. So it is probably colder from being loose, and at best I'm carrying around extra weight that I dont need. It might have been better to get the "scout" version, but the "Altos" bag was not offered in "Scout" size. Fully compressed in the included compression sack, it's 10" high by 8" diameter; a volume of 8.2 liters. it weighs 1475g (3.25 pounds). I've scoured REI and ebay for other 0-degree bags. I could not find a single 0-degree bag lighter than 3 pounds for less than $300, even used. You have to spend a lot to get any lighter or better than this bag. In my opinion, this is the best value 0-degree bag out there.

¡Gran compra!

Just a fair warning this is not a down bag
The title states "TETON Sports Altos Ultralight Down Mummy Sleeping Bag". I thought it was almost too good to be true and sadly it was. The bag seems well built and has decent loft considering its pack size, but I was actually looking for a down filled bag not synthetic. The manufacturer confirmed they are working to change the title.

If your looking for a 0F bag, this is not it.
Lets start with the positive. This is a comfortable lightweight bag. Easy to stuff in the biytom of your pack takes up little space and is comfortable to sleep in. The drawstring and air baffle are great design. The color is awesome bright orange great to use in an emergency situation if you need to be spotted from the air. The neg. Its advertised as a 0°F(-17°C) its not even close. I used this bag in the early fall with night time temps hovering around 2-5°c(32-41°F) and i was cold. I had to use a thermal bag liner to be comfortable. Now if you qre useing a heater ir a hot tent , this bag will be ok. Just be awear this is not a true 0°F bag. Its a 30-40°bag at best. I also own the black LEEF with the green liner. That is a 0°F bag, i use it for late season backpack hunting and its great without a wood stove or heater in my tent.

OK bag but don't expect to be comfy warm at the rated temps (YMMV)
Bought this hammocking. Got the 0F version as I'm in Canada. I thought I could use this both in warmer temps and colder ones, so that I could sell my old 6C bag. When it was still warmish outside (maybe around 20C, bit higher in the evening probably 18C-ish in the mornings - 68F to 64F-ish) I used this alone (didn't have an underquilt yet). It got really hot in there. The problem with that is that my feet were burning hot and I really wanted to stick them out. But you can't open the zipper on the bottom from the inside, so you gotta reach out and do it from the outside. Because it's a mummy bag I suppose the zipper also doesn't go all the way around the bottom like I'm used to (never had a mummy before), so you can't just open up the bottom and stick your feet out, you have to stick them out kinda to the side and it leave more than just the feet out. I still wanted it zipped up on the top, because my chest/lung area gets cold easier. Until I figured some of this out, I was simultaneously too hot (feet burning) and too cold (lungs screaming). You have to basically stick feet out, probably with socks, when that gets too cold stick the feet inside the bottom but probably still leave it opened and remove your socks. Zip it up at some point and later in the morning put your socks on when that gets too cold. All the while on the top if you zip it all the way up and use the draft collar to keep the draft out you're also too hot there. Had I known, wouldn't have bought this bag. That's way too much waking up and adjusting for me. So then I used it with lower temps all night around 15C-ish (~59F) and a bit lower. Down to yesterday starting with 8C (46F) in the evening and in the morning waking up to 3C (38F). I was toasty warm when going to sleep, not too hot, very comfortable actually. I also have a hammock underquilt now (rated 20F) so that keeps you pretty warm from underneath. The bag however wasn't that great. The hood and draft collar are great. If I cinch it tight enough I don't feel cold from that end and the wind was blowing quite a bit one of those nights actually. However, I could feel cold all along the zipper and the foot area was getting noticeably cold during the night as well. I would gather being sleepless from about 4a.m. because it was too cold. And that's with a down vest on. Of course I survived, no cold so far either but it was not a comfortably warm night in an awesome hammock as I had hoped for. I can say that the underquilt is definitely not the cause, as I had set it up slightly too loose one night and I could feel the cold from below and that was gone after fixing that setup mistake. EDIT: Been out in colder temps now. Both around freezing and down to -9C/15F-ish. Out there in the evening just watching some youtube it's OK but I can't get the neck area closed up enough when I'm just using it in Top Quilt mode (i.e. not zipped up, thus can't use the hood properly - will try that soon, though it's made much harder because the lower zipper is not reachable from the inside, only the outside). For sleeping I didn't really trust it so far and stacked my old 6C bag on top and stuffing both around my face/neck area keeps me toasty warm. Not the point of having a 0F bag tho if you ask me.
