La Crosse Technology WT-137U Digital Thermometer/Hygrometer
Quite accurate, although the humidity can be a little skitzo on a few of them now and then. I find these make great gifts for folks who have only one thermometer in their house. I have one in every room - - makes balancing the heat or A/C a breeze!

Not accurate Edit: My mistake
Edit: Borrowed a thermometer that I know is accurate. It reads roughly the same as this one. My thermostat is off. Like I said below, this is an excellent thermometer AND now I know it's accurate. Sorry for the bad review due to my error, My thermostat is set to roughly 65 degrees F (it's a dial rather than digital, so it's hard to tell exactly) This thermometer consistently reads 73 degrees F and higher. Yet my heat kicks on. (shouldn't do that unless it gets below 65 degrees F) It is very easy to use. You just put in the battery (not included) and it starts up. It's small, but also easy to read. If it were accurate, it would get 5 stars, however, It's 7-10 degrees off. Not very helpful.

Easy DYI test for accurate humidity
I've had this for two years now and it's still on the first battery. The temperature is pretty accurate - the hygrometer, not so much, but in this price range that seems to be the norm. It has a little kickstand and a hole for wall mounting.. The numbers are easy to read within a few feet, but I never pay attention to the comfort level meters, as that's kind of subjective anyway. Some people are perfectly comfortable in humid conditions. I'm just not one of them. It reads humidity about 4 degrees low, but at least does it consistently. With the following hygrometer test you can determine just *how* inaccurate one is before buying yet another inaccurate one. Calibration Test Simple and scientific. Wet table salt will reach a relative humidity of precisely 75% in an enclosed space (like a ziplock bag), but it takes several hours. All you need is: table salt - 1 tablespoon water - about 1/2 teaspoon (These measurements aren't precise. We just need to make a thick slurry of salt/water) a small plastic lid or container a zip-lock bag Put the hygrometer, display side up, in the bag next to the mixture. Leave a little air in the bag with a piece of cardboard or plastic to keep the bag from resting on the items. Zip it and leave it unopened for 12 hours. At that time the hygrometer should read 75%. It may not, but by making a note of the difference you can still come up with accurate relative humidity.

Fast Shipping... Accurate... and Kind of Cute as well as Inexpensive
I was looking for a small thermometer to place inside my bedroom. No local stores carried anything I could use so I came here to Amazon to take a peek and found this little item. Despite how it may appear in the photo, it's actually quite small... no longer than a finger. It has a flip out leg that you can stand it on a desk with... or you can use the hole in the back to wall mount it. I'm not really sure about the so-called "comfort zone" needle in the middle... Since I had it it appears to stay at the same location... perhaps that just means my room is kept at a good constant temperature. The thermometer indicator can be switched to C or F with a push of button on the back and from what I've seen it's fairly accurate. The humidity indicator isn't something I normally worry about so I honestly don't really care about that. I don't have anything really negative to say about this unit. I kind of wish the numbers for the temperature were a little larger.... You just have to make sure you set it in a location that has enough light so you can read it. The red and and green bars kind of give it a little color and make it look not too... too... too cheap looking.... For $8 it's not too bad... and the shipping for this particular item wasn't too shabby, either.. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something small and simple.

Works Good
Works good enough. Easy to read. I have 3 of them: one in each room. All of them I've had between 1-3 yrs and are still working fine. I have tested 3 of them in the same room and they gave about the same reading. First, read 69.6/humidity 34. Second, read 68.9/humidity 30. Third, read 68.3/humidity 31. I don't use the humidity very often. Previously, I had another brand and it was very inaccurate. I bought 2 for friends. I am thinking of buying another one. I've read reviews where the thermometer doesn't even work or brake in a few weeks. I think for the price range of $10-$20 they will all be off by a half of a degree to a full degree. I'd rather have one that will not brake.

Accurate and Works Fine for the Bedroom
I live in Queens, New York and the weather during the year can be so extreme that the air in my apartment can go from being very dry during the winter to really humid in the summer. This little guy helps keep track where the humidity is. As for accuracy, I compared it to another temperature/hygrometer that I have for the living room and moved they around throughout the apartment to see if they would be the same in different locations. Basically the temperature between the two has shown a max difference of 1 degree. Heck, 68.2 and 68.8 is accurate enough for me. The difference between the two of them for humidity ranges from 1 to 2. Right now one shows 50%rm and the other 52%rm. Remember, i can't say WHICH one is correct or more accurate but it's good to see that that are very close to each other. Love how small it is and it's nice design. The little touch of color that it has, makes it that much more pleasant to look at. I'm so tired of these companies making boring black/gray displays. One little disappointment is that the humidity dial does not move in small increments! It has three positions. It's either strait up at comfort or either at Dry or Wet. Not a deal breaker but I thought it would show is slowly moving towards one or the other in smaller steps. Otherwise happy and satisfied with this purchase.

This is accurate and the battery lasts for a long time.
This is the 2nd one I've purchased. The battery in this lasts for more than a year. It gauges the temp. accurately. I use one in the upstaires bedroom and the other in the sunroom. I would recommend this product.

Great product. Great price!
This little meter does exactly what it should do. We have not bothered with the min/max readings because all we wanted was a hygrometer for the house. This unit gives you that plus a thermometer in a a very easy to read package. Additionally, the meter shows a "comfort" meter, to help those of us who are less informed about what a "normal" humidity level should be in our home. We found that, being on the Canadian prairies in the winter, the humidity in the house is about 25% and that's in the "very dry" range...as we'd expected. The unit can be switched between deg F and deg C easily. It comes with a small fold out stand for table top mount plus a keyhole slot for wall mounting. I'm considering buying a second unit to track the humidity in my garage. We're very happy with this purchase.

+ Easy to use + Durable
PROS: + Easy to use + Durable. I dropped it a few times, it survived each drop. + The hygrometer reading is somewhat reliable. Sometimes, it matches the weather station/forecast value; sometimes, it's ~ 10% less. I find this acceptable -- as the analog hygrometer reading (that I have) does not always matches weather station value either. (The analog hygrometer reading is sometimes 10% higher and sometimes 10% lower than the weather station value.) + It can display the temperature in either degree Celsius or degree Fahrenheit. (Even my portable air conditioner cannot do that lol.) + It looks OK. Cons: - I wish it's more durable (lol). While it has survived the drops, the corners got chipped a tiny bit. Conclusion: I recommend this product if it is on sale :)

Easy to read
had this product for several years and still working perfectly on the original battery. Accurate, sensitive reading of both temperature and humidity. Easy to read.

Still working great after 4 years!
Using this in a grow environment to monitor Temps and RH. I want to say I've only had to replace the battery on a yearly basis. It's truly great when products last longer than ~2 years at this price point.
