Beautiful presentation of cappuccino or latte, but...

These are fabulous to display the "crema" of your espresso from makers such as Nespresso. When you use the Aeroccino+ (frothmaker from Nespresso, for example), then you can appreciate the side view of layers of coffee and milk. They look great and work and feel great in the hand. Then why only four stars? Several caveats which I did not realize until I read the instructions. First, they must be hand washed. They are not recommended for a dishwasher. I did not try for fear of what would happen. Likewise, they are not to be used in a microwave. Again, I did not try this against the advice in the manufacturer's written instructions. Even though these are not as convenient and easy to care for as one might assume, in defense they are simple to wash with all smooth curved surfaces easily wiped with a sponge, and if you preheat the glass under the hot water tap, then the contents will stay warm longer. Even then, if you must reheat, you will have to pour contents into a microwave safe vessel such as a glass Pyrex measuring cup, and pour back into the preheated glass double-walled mug. As far as looks go, it is milding disconcerting to have to look at the manufacturer's name durably printed on the glass bottom. Every time you raise it to your lips and empty it, you are reminded of the brand name, really an unnecessary marketing ploy.

These are maybe what you've been looking for!

I've been looking for a slightly larger size of glass mug for lattes and other espresso drinks. The layering just looks so good if you have a good espresso machine. But, I've only been able to find small cups until I saw these mugs. They are great! The photo makes them look semi-opaque but they are crystal clear in reality. The mugs are insulated so they keep coffee warm for a longer time than a typical mug. They are super light weight due to the very thin glass. All in all, I am very satisfied and the layering of the milk and espresso on a Saturday morning is visually pleasing and just changes the experience. Plus, these are not expensive.

Not Dishwaster or Microwave Safe

Nice size and coffee stays hot longer. However, I did not realize they could not be put in the dishwasher until I had used them, and think this caution should be added to the main description. Same for the microwave although that is less an issue for me.

Very high quality glass mugs. Perfect size for a single or double shot cappuccino or latte, or a quad with milk. No inconsistencies or defects in either of the glasses. They both fit perfectly and look great on top of my espresso machine. Due to double wall, the glass doesn't really ever get warm/hot, which can be a plus or minus depending on how cold your mornings are. :-)

Not Microwavable

You can not put the cup into a microwave so it is useless to me for hot beverages. If I don't drink fast enough there is no way to reheat with out putting the drink into another container that can go into the microwave, or into a pot for the stove. In this day and age who needs a cup with a handle for cold beverages?

They're fine for now

Fast shipping. Glasses were a little light for glass. Would not buy from again. Work for what they're intended for. Wouldn't pack them to go anywhere else with me though.

Bonjour Coffee 2-Piece Insulated Glass Cappuccino Cup Set

I was a bit skeptical after receiving these insulated glass cups as I could not foresee how these would be any different than a regular glass cup. I was going to actually pack them back up and ship back. I'm happy that I gave them a chance because my cappuccinos and lattes truly stay HOT! I love these glasses!
