Great item
Definitely a great item I like the brand and company as well . The only thing I would change is the lock button on this . I don't care for it and didn't think the extra caution needed to be taken.

It works but...
Okay, this little ice cream maker is a bit clunky but it does make ice cream. The insert needs to be frozen for about a day before use. It has a liquid inside that freezes solid and thus freezes liquid you pour into it. The paddle is plastic and feels flimsy, but there's this feature where it switches direction in use if an iced up spot gets it caught so I think that'll prevent it from breaking during use. It is kind of loud and makes a clunking noise everytime it switches direction. I find it a bit messy, but maybe I'll get better the more I use it. I messed up entirely the first try, user error, the second worked fine. Not a super high quality appliance, but for the $15 I paid for it on sale I'd call it well worth that price. If I paid the regular price, I'd probably be a bit disappointed in quality and usability and would have deducted a star. For the sale price it's a functional, albeit finicky, contraption that I'll use fairly regularly and hope it doesn't wear out too soon.

Good blender, would buy again.
It's a good little blender and is perfect for what I use it for. Plenty powerful enough. The only reason I gave it an overall 4 star rating instead of 5 is that it does not come with a wall mounting option (which would be helpful for me). It says it was made for BuzzFeed, but it is Cuisinart brand. I would buy it again.

Good for the price. If you want complete ease, though - move up the line and pay more.
So.. I nearly returned this. I could not figure out how to get the top to connect. It was like the paddle was too tall and preventing the lid from shutting. In the photo you will see the round knob (on either side) could not reach to lock. It was making me crazy. I even called Cuisanart and they, of course, had no clue what I was talking about and on top of that, it was such a problem I couldn’t believe no one else mentioned it in their review. Cusianart told me to return it to Amazon. But I was aggravated and I already had my ice cream mixture made and ready. I knew already by testing it out for awhile that because the unit/lid would not lock, it was rocking back/forth and carrying on terrible, but at this point I didn’t care. So I just said forget it and dumped in the mixture, turned it on and walked away. Five minutes later I looked at it again and the silly thing had LOCKED ITSELF and it was working fine. What in the world?! After much ado I realized that if I lift the bottom part up to the lid, instead of attempting to bring the lid down to the bottom part I can get it to lock before turning it on. But it’s not a simple thing. If you are impatient or in a hurry this is NOT the unit for you. If it’s worth it to you to pay less for a slight irritation, go for it. I ended up keeping it because 1) I hate returning things unnecessarily and 2) it is cheaper and as often as I make ice cream I’ll just deal with it. No one else seems to be talking about this in their reviews, so maybe it’s just me being crazy. I dunno. But that’s my review. Other thoughts: It doesn’t seem to make the ice cream super thick at first, but once you put it in the freezer it’s perfect. If you were hoping to eat it straight out of the machine, then hopefully you like melty ice cream. If you like it thick, you’ll have to wait. It’s almost thick shake consistency when it’s done. I LOVE how it doesn’t require salt (like my old unit I’m replacing with this). The container itself is pre-frozen (so make sure you either store it in the freezer permanently or remember to put it in a day or two ahead of ice cream day). Super easy cleanup. Bottom Line: If it want it to work quickly, smoothly and flawlessly... pay more for the higher end model (which I can only assume works easier). If you are on a tight budget and don’t mind a slight bit of fuss - get it. It works!

with a little practice you can get good desserts
Don’t put frozen ingredients or iced/too cool ones because it freezes too fast on the edges and won't turn the inside scoop

Super light, and easy to store.
Efficient and fast for its size.

Great value
Great value. But recipes aren't great. Used recipes online that use only heavy cream and that helps a lot.

Simple ice cream maker
I didn't want a fancy/complicated ice cream maker, nor did I want one that made enough to feed an army. This machine worked out well for me. Pros: - easy to operate - easy to clean - makes ice cream/frozen yogurt in 20 minutes or less. - the few recipes I tried in the instruction booklet were excellent. - easy to set up, no rock salt or ice needed. (hint: don't pour into the spout with a bowl, I found it less messy to pour from a batter bowl or a large measuring cup.) - reasonably priced Cons: - you have to freeze the inside container (they recommend 24 hours, but I found overnight was fine), which means you either have to plan ahead or take up freezer space to store it there. I have another freezer, so that was fine with me. - the iced confections do adhere to the inside of the frozen container - I used a flat scoop to scrape it off the side, and ended up scratching the inside. This hasn't impacted the performance, but the inside is beaten up- so use a non-abrasive scoop. Good to know: -this can only hold 1 1/2 quarts of ice cream. So you need to pay attention to the recipe quantity. - the cover does come apart from the motor for easy cleaning. I hand washed, but put the paddle in the dishwasher. - an ice cream recipe I made took the full 20 minutes, but the yogurt took about 15-16- so you shouldn't leave the device un-attended after its been running awhile.

Tasty by Cuisinart HM200TRD Hand Mixer Red.
I am very impressed by this Tasty by Cuisinart HM200TRD Hand Mixer. The quality is very good, it has a nice weight to it and the plastic housing is thick and seems to be very good. It is very powerful and does not slow down when mixing heavy batter like cookie dough. This mixer is also quite quiet at low speed and gets a little noisier as you increase the speed but not that bad you can still have a conversation with someone without yelling at the high speed and I really like that. I have had other hand mixers that are so noisy that one cannot talk or even hear the phone or doorbell ring and after use my ears would ring because of the noise, but this one from Tasty by Cuisinart HM200TRD Hand Mixer is not like that at all. The motor seems to be very heavy duty and has a powerful 200-watt motor, so it is very good at mixing light to heavy duty stuff. The beaters are very well made and are made of steel and the same with the dough hooks and I am so happy that this mixer came with dough hooks so many hand mixers do not come with dough hooks but this one by Tasty by Cuisinart HM200TRD Hand Mixer. I made a big batch of whipping cream and I was quite happy at how fast this hand mixer whipped the whipping cream. This hand mixer is much faster at whipping cream than the last one I had. I did not think there would be a difference but there is and this Tasty by Cuisinart HM200TRD Hand Mixer does a very fast job at whipping heavy cream. I think it is because of the shape of the beaters. The cord is a thick professional cord and is quite long but I still have to use an extension cord as I use my mixer at my kitchen table and the plug is quite far away, but if you mix at the counter, you have lots of cord to deal with. The cord is also situated at the back of the bottom of the machine and can be turned and locked for either left or right-handed people or you can just leave it in the middle and it will move back and forth depending on how you are mixing. The slow speed is a real slow speed too and I like that also, some mixers at low are almost as fast as on high and that is not a good thing but this mixer is not like that at all, the slow speed is quite slow and that is also a good thing. This mixer by Tasty by Cuisinart HM200TRD Hand Mixer also has a turbo speed that you can push on any speed to make it go the fasted speed, but for me I do not use that very often but it is still nice to have to use from time to time. I highly recommend this Tasty by Cuisinart HM200TRD Hand Mixer to anybody that needs a good well-made hand mixer that does not take up a lot of space like a stand mixer does.

Broke on the First Use
I bought this ice cream maker thinking it was a good deal and given the brand, I figured it would be a great product. Boy, was I wrong. I froze the ice cream container for about three days. I prepared a warm vanilla mixture, and I put the machine together according to the instructions. I fired up the machine, put the mixture in, and then waited for what I hoped would be some delicious ice cream. After 20 minutes, the mixture was still a soup, not even a thick soup, just a slightly colder version of the soup I initially put into it. The machine was still cold and I was disappointed so I let it continue to run... for another 40 minutes. I smelled a burning plastic smell and I checked on my "ice cream." It was still a soup and there were black plastic chunks floating around in it. The machine was smoking. I threw it straight into the trash. Bottom line: This thing didn't make ice cream and I can't even return it now.

Love my New Mixer
This mixer is by far the greatest mixer I have bought. It has low speed which does not splash all over. Love all the speeds. The beater bars are great as they are easy to clean and it is just all great.

Complete package of power, beauty and quality
Why are online and YouTube hand mixer reviewers not talking about this mean machine??? Excellent quality and power. And it had the Cusiniart brand backing too. It has an amazing slow start. I was able to beat Greek yogurt with the beaters and whole wheat tortilla dough with the dough hooks. It does feel a little heavy, Also, this is my first hand mixer, so might need some getting used to. It comes with an 18 month warranty, but I splurged on a 4 year Amazon Asurion warranty. This way I am protected for 4 years for $8.99. better than buying expensive hand.mixers with a 1 year warranty. Love the colour. Plus it came with a cute little recipe book to get you started. Excited to try more recipes. Go for it, you will just fall in love with this!
