Fit for purpose…

It serves the purpose. I wish the cutting lever could go a little higher to avoid bruising the paper at the beginning of the blade when inserting. Anyhow, if careful enough, one can get it through well enough. The square alignment is also slightly off. It may not matter much if one doesn’t need super precision. Cutting more than one paper at a time is disastrous. The sheets of paper move out of position and you get cuts completely out of square. So ignore the claim of cutting 10 sheets max. It will mess up your work.

Great paper cutter

I like this. It is easy to line up paper to cut and I find myself using it for all my projects where I need to size my papers. Easy and lightweight.

I had high hopes

It almost cuts straight, does that count. I'm a paper crafter and I need straight cuts but I have yet to find any paper cutter/trimmer that cuts perfectly straight. And don't tell me Fiskars because that company is some of the worst offenders in selling trimmers that don't cut straight. I prefer guillotine trimmers over blade because I feel they are more accurate. However, this one still cuts a little off, not bad but still not straight. Also, the entire thing is black even the measurement markers are the same color as the rest of the trimmer. I had to use a silver sharpie marker to color the numbers so I could see them clearly. The half inch grid pattern that comprises the flat surface where you lay the paper is also confusing. It should never have had indentions, it should just have had lines. All that being said, it's super sharp and it does a pretty decent job. I'll use it until I think I've found something better, which will probably be a long time.

Works but not accurate

Cuts well but doesn’t cut straight. You have to pull the handle inward to attempt to make it straighter. It’s also very difficult for fine tune work, it’s hard to tell where the trimmer Is going to cut. It works, but not amazing

It is not built like a more expensive cutter but still is sturdy. Only problem I found is it cuts slanted. As much as I hold the handle, pushing it towards the paper to cut even it still does not. On laminated items it is worse. All in all I may be returning it.

It cuts paper

This is a very basic paper cutter, lightweight, and just the right size for everyday office paper. The blade is sharp and it easily cuts 10 regular printer pages in one go. The packaging is minimal but keeps the product in good shape during shipping. We have to install the handle, but that's no big deal. There is a finger guide that is nice so we don't cut the fingers and is far enough away from the side we can see where the cutting edge. When not in use, we can pop the handle onto a hidden peg so it won't open. I store mine on end on a bookshelf when not in use. There is a strong chance of user error here as the safety is not intuitive. Someone wanted to use my paper cutter and tried to yank it open because they thought it was broken or stuck when really it was on the safety latch. I might put a sticker on the machine saying how to open it if there's a chance of other people using it in the future. I found it a bit difficult to get a precise cutting edge but I could get it within 1 or 2 mm of where I needed which is good enough for the work I do. The surface was not really slippery, but not really grippy either, so the paper could move mid cut if I'm not paying close attention which is annoying. On the whole, I'm happy with this. It exceeded my expectations and makes a great budget paper cutter. I'm using it for trimming PDF sewing patterns and it does that very well.

Doesn't cut straight

The product works well enough, it's not amazing and its quite lightweight and cheapely built. The main issue is that... it doesn't cut straight! At first I though maybe my paper were often slanted or something but now I realize that the cutter cut a little off. I now learned how to ''adjust'' my page to align my paper in a way to cut kind of straight, but I really shouldn,t have to do that. And it's clearly not a bulletproof technique and each of my cuts aren,t always straight

Bought it in July Broken in Dec

I have only used this cutter on a weekly basis. The plastic handle busted off when I was on the downstroke. Lucky I didn’t cut my hand. Cutter worked awesome. Very sharp. I loved it. It was hardly used and now it has to go in the trash
