Great lil clock
At first, I was not happy bcause at night the light from clock was much too bright for my liking. BUT, when I’m doubt, read the instructions!!! Both the clockface AND the projection light are adjustable. I now have my most favorite alarm clock ever. It’s a very stylish design, compact size, has a bunch of functions (2 alarm settings!!?!?) that I’ll never use. Cord is only about 2ft; too short for my tall chest of drawers but I’ll leave it on my dresser. It’s a terrific buy!!!

Best projection clock I've owned so far!
I have been through a number of these projection alarm clocks. They are my absolute favorite because they allow me to only open my eyes a peep in the middle of the night to see what time it is without fully awakening me causing me a hard time to fall back asleep. Unfortunately, the projection part of the clocks ALWAYS break down on me. None have ever lasted longer than a year. My last one lasted only 8 months. When I found this one, I am trusting the Amazon Basics brand as in the past on other items, they are fairly good quality across the board. So, I'm giving this one a try and hope the projection lasts. Having said all that, this one (so far) has features that far exceeds the others I've had (even the name brand ones). It has all the basics but a few stand out. They are: I love that it has a USB for charging my phone. That is a bonus. And the projected numbers are GIGANTIC. I've never had one that shoots that big before. It is a little excessive to me but I can see where people with eyesight issues would love this. A suggestion I'd make would be to have a dial that allows one to size up or down the numbers it projects for those of us that don't need them so big. Having them as big as they are makes them a night light. Not a complaint though, just a thought. I love that it has the ability to lighten or darken the numbers on the clock itself. I've had ones that are so bright I had to turn the clock face away from me at night because it shown so brightly in my face! However, I would ask them to take this one step further and have an automatic feature for daytime vs nighttime clock dial brightness. It currently allows you to adjust the brightness of the reading on the clock itself but it is a dial at the bottom of the clock, underneath, so it is something you are suppose to set once and leave it. It is really nice to be able to dim the brightness however, on the low settings which is perfect at night, it is almost impossible to see it during the day. It would be nice if it automatically sensed daylight and brightened the clock on its own and then when it sensed darkness, it would allow the dial setting to take over and shine at that brightness in evening hours. Just a suggestion. Overall, this clock has it all...two alarm settings, snooze, radio, daylight savings time setting..., it is a great clock. I hope it lasts!

Big Bright Numbers
I ordered this projection clock FM radio mainly for the bright clock. I wanted one that would be easily visible from a distance, whether the room is brightly lit or rather dim. This one is perfect! I can easily see the time even when looking at it from another room and about 20 feet away from it. The numbers are big and bright. They can be made brighter or dimmer just by turning a dial, if preferred. The included instruction booklet is clear and has lots of pictures that illustrate the steps needed. There are controls on the top, the back, and the side that make it easy to set the time, set an alarm, tune the radio, etc. I like that because electronic devices with two or three buttons which have to be pressed over and over to do any one function are so frustrating. Most of these buttons do one function. Press and you are done! The FM radio is easy to turn on and tune. It will search for the next station or can just keep scanning one at a time. Setting the presets is easy and quick. The speaker isn't the best and listening to music on this isn't as nice as on a set of higher-end speakers. Talk radio stations come through clearly. There is a projection feature that can be adjusted to show the time on a wall or the ceiling. When shown on the wall it has an elongated look that seems kind of eerie (see my photo). The projected image can be adjusted by turning a wheel on the bottom of the lens to sharpen it. The projector can only be adjusted in one direction (higher or lower) and not the other (side to side) so the clock has to be positioned carefully when using that feature. As for the unit's shortcomings, the power cord does come loose very easily when the unit is moved and it is top heavy and tips over onto its face with the slightest movement. Since I don't plan to be moving it around they are just minor annoyances to me. The big bright clock face is just what I wanted.

great projection clock
I wear very strong prescription glasses and cannot see normal size clocks without them, so I have been using projection clocks to project time in huge numbers on the ceiling, so I can actually see them. When my clock went bad, surprisingly, the exact replacement had the numbers showing flipped upside down with no way to adjust it back to the proper position. There are many complaints about that in the review area for that particular clock Amazon basics seemed to listen to customers and made their own version so much better. You can now only flip the numbers either way and adjust the angle and the brightness, and focus. I can now see the projection, nice and clear, wherever it is most convenient and comfortable to me, not the clock designer. There are bunches of buttons to adjust your clock to your preferences without having to dig out the manual. Which was actually also included, printed manual and quick start guide, too, clearly written. The buttons are for adjusting for 12 or 24 hrs, for DST, for setting up clock and alarm, dials for brightness of the screen. I love that I do not have to deal with many obscure menus to set it up or to change settings. It has 2 alarms, radio and snooze button, and sleep function, but who actually uses them now if you have a smartphone or smartwatch. I didn't look at those functions yet. There is a coin battery to keep time in case of power outage but I do not know if it powers the alarm, too. if not, then it is yet another reason to use your phone for alarm instead, of course. Anyway, it is perfect clock for me and my needs.
