Holds my 70 inch perfectly

This items arrived in a small box, so I was worried that install would require multiple steps. However it was super easy, and within a couple minutes I had the tv mounted in the living room! Make sure to follow the instructions and improper install can lead to damage

Great Mount, but Hardware Didn't Fit Samsung TV

I've used both the "AmazonBasics No-Stud Heavy-Duty Tilting TV Wall Mount Bracket for 32-inch to 80-inch TVs" and the "AmazonBasics Heavy-Duty Tilting TV Wall Mount for 37-inch to 80-inch TVs". This review is directed towards the latter. I would recommend this model for any heavy or larger TV. This model felt more "heavy duty". During installation, the stud spacing was slightly larger than normal behind my wall, but the bracket was well designed and flexible enough for me to hit a stud on both sides of the mount without issue. Once the bracket was on the wall, I turned my attention to the TV. I ripped open the included M8 screws and went to install them on my new 70 inch Samsung TV. Boy was I surprised to find them too short - even the longest hardware in the package was not able to thread into my TV. To the hardware store I went, as an FYI, most larger Samsung TVs take M8 screws 1.25 X 40MM. You can find these in the large drawers of hardware found inside of most big box hardware stores for under a dollar per screw (you need 4) to use with this mount. Check your TV manual for mre information. Once I purchased the screws for my TV, the installation was fairly straight forward. My TV is approximately 100 lbs, and seems very sturdy. As a installation tip, I found that you needed to use a philips head screw driver to tighten the tilt mechanism or the bottom of the TV would sag forward and rest against the wall. All in all, it's a good mount. It could be improved with a better designed tilt lock. It also should include additional hardware for newer / larger TVs. Be sure to get into a stud with this installation bracket. It comes (foolishly) with drywall anchors which I would not trust for any on wall TV installation.

Works great for what I needed

I was really surprised at how well this worked for the money. I have a 55" LED that I wanted to hand and didn't want to spend a lot as I'll move/replace it at some point. I have a 75", which has a much more expensive mount with the tilt, pull out and swivel. It's an awesome mount, although it cost 3x as much. I wanted to hang my TV up around 8' and tilt a bit so I could see it from my desk that is about 18' away. This mount achieved this without a problem. With my 55" TV, I could tilt it just the right amount. Given that the mount is pretty close to the wall, I don't think a larger TV would allow that much tilt. Just doing a bit of off the top measuring, a 75" probably wouldn't have any tilt because the mount doesn't come out from the wall more than a couple inches. Installation was a breeze. The part of the mount that goes in the wall has a level built into it and only takes four screws. I spent more time centering it up where I wanted than actually screwing it in. The two arms that attach to the TV have plenty of options for sizes, so I'd suspect you'd be hard pressed to find a TV that wouldn't fit it. Amazon supplied ample screw sizes and spacers, so I didn't need to search for the proper size outside the purchase. Once you attach the arms, just hand the arms on the mount and make sure the latch on the bottom snaps on. Only way for the TV to then come off without releasing the latches is to slide it all the way off the side (you'd have to intentionally want this to happen). The strings that hang for releasing the latches were a cool little design and easy enough to tuck away out of sight. For the money, this is a great mount and easy to install. It's very flush, so if you need to get cables in place before hanging (I couldn't get my hand behind the TV once hung, my wife could a bit). As long as your TV cable connections are parallel to the TV, spacing behind the TV wouldn't be an issue. You only have a down tilt, which will be less of a tilt with a larger TV. I would definitely purchase this again for similar needs.

Very Good Value, easily fitted

Used this to install a Samsung 43" UE7000 TV. The bracket came with wall bolts with rawl plugs that were prob overkill for the 43" but good to see if I'd been putting up something bigger/ heavier. You will need a spanner or socket for these. Your will also need to get alternatives if you're fixing to a hollow wall. A second bag contained various sets of screws and washers for fitting the arms to the TV. My Samsung was a 200 x 200 Vesa, needing the M8 bolts between 20-22mm. The supplied bolts worked OK only if used without washers. Given that the bolt fits to the steel frame, I was not worried about leaving the washers off. There is a good template for fitting and good instructions. The instructions are in multiple languages; each page holds one step in each language rather than being multiple sections with a full instruction set in one language which may have been something other people found a pain. Step one - ID screws required and fix two arms to TV back, make sure adjustment screws face towards the outside. Step two - calculate height needed for TV - use template to drill holes, fit back plate - this has a level built in. Step three - attach the TV arms to the back plate - hook and click. Step four - adjust tilt. This will need a Philips screwdriver at least 12 inches long. Comments: The TV is locked in place via catches that can be opened by the use of strings. Once fitted these can be hidden by laying them on the top of the wall bracket. A plug socket can be put behind the TV but you need to aware if the location - the back plate sits with it's top edge about 1 inch below the TV centre line, while the arms are lined up depending on the VESA width. With a 200x200, the socket can go above the wall bracket between the arms, so above the horizontal centre line in the middle of the TV. Summary - at this price (£16), this was an absolute bargain - closest option inc tilt and releasable catch was about £35. I setup a Samsung 55" about 8 weeks ago and would have been happy to have used this for that as well. Edit: having reorganised the living room and moved the 55" into an enclosure above the fire from it's stand on a cabinet, I have now used a second one of these for that.

disappointed with item

I haven’t utilised the item because it isn’t suitable to the Samsung TV that I have purchased. The TV fell well within the criteria however the bracket was of no use. There are two different length screws required however the multi selection of screws provided didn’t have any suitable; not entirely true, there was one that was the correct thread and long enough - just. However if I did use this I wouldn’t have been able to use the washer to stop the screw from being of no use because the holes were bigger in the bracket than the size of the head of the screw. We purchased some screws that were long enough and the correct thread (problem solved – so I thought), the other issue was that the TV back wasn’t flat and if the bracket was used as designed then the case of the TV would have been deformed. I liked the idea of being able to tilt the TV once installed however on receipt of the brackets I really couldn’t see how this would actually work which was disappointing but however now irrelevant because the bracket was of no use anyway.

Simple and well designed.

Simple to mount my old 43" LG Plasma screen to the wall, although I used 8 Direct to Concrete Block Torx 30 concrete screws at 100mm depth rather than the enclosed 4 * 75mm standard screws with Rawl plugs. This was because the enclosed mounting screws were not designed for our walls which are lined with Kingspan Slab for extra insulation. Enclosed instructions and mounting template very easy to use indeed for anyone with reasonable DIY skills.

Bought this to secure my old 40kg 60" Plasma in my work unit. Easy to install with 2 people (I did add more wall anchors than was supplied) and came with everything to secure the LG tv to the bracket. At this price it was a great buy!
