So far so good
Just received this and used it first time today. After about two minutes the pressure would drop and the pump wouldn't turn off when the pressure dropped and I release the lever. Had to run over and turn it off. Turns out the water hose from the tap needs to have no leaks... Even the tap itself can't leak. If it does the pump sucks air and that's what causes the loss of pressure. I grabbed another hose instead of the hose on my hose storage crank which is leaking in a couple spots. That was the problem. All is well now. Used it for several hours. If you want paint stripping pressure you have to use the 0 degree sprayer. It worked great after I figured out what was wrong. Also get the 25 foot extension hose. It's a must have. The 20 foot hose is not long enough. Happy I purchased the extension before using the pressure washer. This is a good pressure washer and easy to use. I also bought the quick release tap water hose adapter. A must have to easily move the pressure washer when needed. Highly recommended!

HEAVY!
First, this item was purchased through Amazon Warehouse at their set price. There was no discount or any compensation for writing this review. This unit was purchased to replace a Karcher that started to act a little quirky. No big deal, I got it for free from someone used and it allowed me to confirm that I wanted a pressure washer. The first observation is just how heavy the Sunjoe is in comparison. The Sunjoe is at least 3X heavier than the Karcher. I think the Sunjoe is listed as 46 lbs and I think that is pretty accurate. It was easier to just pick the Karcher up and carry it, not so with the Sunjoe. Assembly is pretty easy with just 9 screws required. Even taking my time and making sure everything was just right, it took about 20 minutes to have it ready to use. The unboxing is also pretty easy. The main unit and each part are in individual plastic bags and there are some cardboard fillers. No styrofoam pieces to fight with. In use, this things works really well. I think that it should be noted that the rated PSI is 2000 with a MAX of 2300. This is right on the outside of the box. The Karcher unit this replaces was 1600 psi. This is definitely a better unit and it knocked months of crud off my wife's car today. The only thing left was a film that water alone will never remove no matter how much pressure is behind it. I used my foam lance to apply soap and it worked just as good as with the Karcher. An interesting feature is that the quick disconnect for the tips snaps back and all you need to do to attach another is to push it on and the quick disconnect will snap into place and hold it on. The storage thing for the tips works well too. Just simply push a tip into place and pull another out. There are some plastic spring arms to hold the tips and they seem to be tuned fairly well. They come off easy enough and on just as easy. The cord wrap bottom spins around so that you can get the cord off easy enough. It is weird that it has a lot of detents, probably every 10-15 degrees or so. I would expect something more like every 90 degrees. To me, it is just wrong and it feels like you are breaking something even though you aren't. Not a good "user experience" on this item. I know that Sunjoe makes another model with a hose reel. I chose not to go that route because the hose would have lots of small curls in it and it is another link point or two to have issues with. The little hook provided to put the hose on is just too little. The hose is a pretty stiff thing and the hook just isn't big enough to make it easy to put the hose on it. This just feels like an afterthought and they could make it much better for just a few pennies of plastic. One other item that struck me as a little strange is that the garden hose attachment is on the front and the pressure washer hose attachment is on the back. So while you are using it, you tend to be looking at the back and if you need to turn it off you have to walk around to the front to do so. Again, something just a little off in the "user experience". These are just small nitpicks, but I wanted to mention them in case they are truly important for someone reading this review. I have only used the unit once and it performed very well. No issues at all with the working and it seems to have plenty of power. I am not a heavy user of pressure washers but I will use it about 1 per month or more for car washing and then the occasional thing around the house. I am hoping the induction motor makes this one last for a few years, even longer than the 2-year warranty (+90 days for registering online). BTW, one last item that was a little off was that I did not see the serial number on the unit at all. I ended up finding it on a sticker that is on one of the pieces of paper in the packet with instructions. There is also a tip cleaner taped to the back of the English instrustions. Very easy to miss these 2 items.

First the soap dispenser didn't work then it lost pressure and started leaking...
I'll update my review when I get my replacement unit... Packaging looked fine, no visible damage to the box it came in so the delivery of the 50 lbs. box was fine. Assembly was pretty simple, there were only a few parts that needed to put together with around a dozen screws. Everything took about 30 minutes from opening the package to getting it ready for use. I went to the local hardware store to pick up detergent to clean my driveway. I connected the hoses, added the detergent to the plastic container on the back of the unit and turned on the water. Then I turned on the power and pulled the trigger and all that came out the spray gun nozzle was water. I gave it a minute just running the water and still no soap or bubbles. I looked at the instructions again to make sure I did everything right and in the correct order. I tried again and all I got was water. I was frustrated at this point so i just removed the soap container, poured most of it back into the jug it came in and mixed water with what remained in the container and just poured it on the driveway. At this point I just wanted to get the job done and deal with the faulty soap pump later. About five minutes in to the spraying with the 15 degree tip attached I noticed it was doing a good job removing the stains and dirt on the driveway when all of a sudden, I lost most of the PSI; the water came out just a little stronger than it would with just hose pressure. I turned to look at the pump/main unit and there was water just pouring out of the bottom. I turned everthing off and examined the unit and without taking it apart, I couldn't tell where or what part was leaking. After a few minutes had passed, out of frustration I turned the power back on to see what would happen and sure enough the water started pouring out again from the bottom. I only had it out in my garage for a total of 30 minutes with the power only being turned on for about 5-10 of those minutes.I don't know if this is a quality control issue or if domething happed durring shipping but to have two different things go wrong so soon after turning it on for the first time doesn't give me confidence with this brand. This is my first Sun Joe product and may be my last... I was looking for a new battery powered cordless lawn mower but I'll probsbly steer clear from this brand... Thank goodness for Amazon's return/replacement policy I'll have a new one in a couple days. It was a hassle taking everything apart, repackaging it and dropping it off at the UPS Store. I am getting a replacement with the same unit so hopefully the next one won't have issues... ********** Update *********** I got my replacement today and I was able to finish power washing the driveway. Putting it together the second time was a breeze since I just did it a few days ago. The new unit worked without a hitch, the soap dispenser worked within seconds after turning the dial and pulling the trigger. It'll take some getting used to to figure out the perfect setting for the job in hand. Turing it half way went through the detergent in the container pretty quick. The washer did its job with the dirt but it couldn't remove some old paint drops that were on the the concrete. I used the 25 degree nozzle for the cleaning, may the 15 degree or the pin point would have taken care of the paint. I increased my rating to three stars for now since I'm still nervous about the reliability and build quality. I plan on power washing my deck next weekend and I'll see how it goes and will update my rating again if all goes well. ********** Update # 2 *********** I power washed a large deck and put the Sun Joe SPX3500 to the extreme test by running it almost continuously for about 8 hours. The only breaks were refilling the soap dispenser, moving around deck furniture and when I need to get out of the sun and get water/snacks. This thing handled everything I put it through without any issues and did everything I expected out of it. The deck belonged to a family member and was in need of a lot of work. It is about 17 years old and the last time it was re-stained was probably 9-10 years ago. I recently did repair work - replacing the stairs and sanding off all the paint that was peeling on the floorboards. The power washer's job was to finish off the removal of the old paint in areas the belt sanders couldn't reach, remove green residue that several plants left behind on the railings and posts and clean the grey & dingy coloring on the floorboards from years of weather and sun. It did everything I wanted and I was happy with the results. Sure it's not as powerful as a gas powered washer but the trade-off benefits of less noise, easy maintenance and simply use makes it a better choice for my needs. I increased my review to 4 stars - it would have been 5 if not for the experience of the first unit I received.

Excellent buy
We purchased this 4 years ago. We use it ALL the time, without any issues so far. Would definitely buy again. It's paid for itself and then some, by far!!

Solid machine with some room for improvement.
Had a recent contract, cleaning over 100 hotel decks/patios. They were in VERY rough shape to say the least. Nonetheless, this thing ran solid 8+ hours a day, non-stop for 8 days straight... no problems at all. However, make sure you use an outlet rated for 20amp or more, as it routinely flipped the breaker on 15 amps. Also, make sure that’s the machine is turned off before plugging it in or it will definitely flip the breaker. The switch tends to rotate out of the “on” position, making you think it’s off if you don’t look close enough. A large “toggle” type switch rather than a rotary one would be an improvement. The lack of a hose real wasn’t that big a deal, and would be one more point of potential failure, so I’m glad I went with this model and saved myself some $$. However, a “rotary” connection to the “gun” would be very helpful for putting it away, and I may look into buying an after-market part if I get a similar contract in the future. The nozzle used for the detergent doesn’t foam or spray so much as “sprinkle” the detergent around. It’s more just to distribute the detergent, requiring you to scrub in the detergent manually. The detergent won’t work with any other nozzle attachment. Basically forcing you to buy their foaming attachment... (boo!). A work around is that going from the detergent nozzle to a cleaning one provides a few moments of pressurized detergent application. These are all minor complaints and irritants. The machine is solidly built, and runs like a champ. If you are thinking of getting the patio and deck cleaning attachment, don’t bother. It doesn’t really work, and takes more time to use than using a basic nozzle. At least, it didn’t work well for me, mileage may very. Great in theory, but the engineering nerds (said with total respect) need to spend a bit more time in the field with this one. Finally, I would LOVE to see a “professional” model that combined this with a wet-vac. Cleaning on this scale often means scooping up large amounts of muck from partially enclosed patios with no point of drainage. A tool that could both suck AND blow at the same time would be PERFECT, and would provide the opportunity for the nerds to make a machine with three dials. THREE DIALS!!!!! Come on nerds... think about it.

2.5 Year Owner Review
I purchased my SunJoe SPX3500 in July 2018. I'm writing this review in March 2021. Overall this is a good pressure washer, but it has it's draw backs like all "cheap" electric pressure washers. Over the past 2 and half years I've used this washer for everything from cleaning the car, to cleaning my deck, drive way, the side of the house and even a bit of the street out front. Pros: - This thing is pretty quiet, when you first start it up you'll notice that the brushless motor is much less noticeable than any other electric pressure washer you've used before. - Great Connections, If you want to wash your car with this a Snow Foam cannon will directly connect to the wand, unlike the Kartcher models. - Good selection of nozzles for different surfaces, Grey and Green is fantastic for washing cars, Yellow is good for pressuring washing most surfaces, Red will tear your foot off. - It does any job you ask of it. Cons: - The included hose is not long enough, you will barely make it around your car. If you purchase this pressure washer do yourself a favor and get an extra hose extension. - Flow and pressure. 1.48gpm is not a lot of flow, and you'll only get close to that using the Grey or Green nozzle. If you want higher pressure, closer to the 2300psi using the red or yellow nozzlew you'll take a significant hit on flow. This means jobs at least feel like that take much longer than say a gas powered unit that will flow and have pressure. - Reliability. This is the main reason why I'm writing this review. In the two and half years of owning this, I've had 2 warranty claims. The first one, the hose connector was leaking tremendously. SunJoe to their credit just sent me a replacement part that was even improved quality. The second, was just yesterday. The Pump has burnt out. After only 2.5 years of only residential usage it burnt out. I called Sunjoe and even though I'm out of warranty they're sending me a brand new unit. So overall this unit is both good and bad. It's quiet, it does the job and has great connections. On the downside it has been less than reliable. But I still gave it 4 stars because of SunJoe's excellent customer service with them replacing the unit altogether. You can however purchase a cheap 2 year extended warranty which I have now done. Giving my washer a 4 year replacement warranty. So I would recommend if you buy this washer, contacting SunJoe within your first 2 years and getting that warranty.

Powerful as gas washer but quiet
This washer is excellent. My gas washer has a bit more power but it was always a pain to maintain. So glad I switched to this easy to use electric pressure washer. The power is very good and it cleaned my driveway pavers and cement just as good as the gas pressure washer did. The hose could have been a tad longer but the power cord is long enough to make up for it. It’s nice and quiet too. Used it 4 times over a week and seems to have a reliable motor. Tripped my breaker once but worked fine otherwise. Time will tell.

Easy to Assemble and use, Works Great!
Took around 10 minutes to put everything together, sturdy hard plastic and screws with very easy instructions. Easy to use and maneuver, cleaned the patio off and used the 2nd nozzle and was very impressed at the grime it removed. Hose is a little short at 20ft but to be expected as it notes the hose length, no surprises. LOVE that the motor stops when you are not using it so you can talk to your kids or yell at the wife to grab the kids, lol. Very happy with mine!

Just Get One
I had another pressure washer for many years that did the job just ok. I think it was around 1500psi. the one thing that drove me nuts was not only how loud it was, but how high pitches the sound was. I had to always run it at least 10 feet away from me or I would need hearing protection. This new one is much much quieter and a much lower pitch to the sound. Also its much more powerful. Love it, and should have upgraded years ago. I would say the only small downside is that its heavier and the wand, being steel, is heavier. I realistically need to use both hands on it. Other than that, its amazing!
