Cockapoo puppy can get head thru

Our 4 month old cockapoo has gotten her head thru the widest section of rungs - by the hinged part- twice now. Once when she was about 7 lbs and I was able to pull her head out. She did it again the other day - she’s 10 lbs now - and squealed! I came around the corner and she was struggling to get her head out. She did but my mind was freaking out and imagining calling 911 to come cut the metal gate apart…!!! Now we put our old wooden gate in front of this gate so she can’t put her head thru…defeats the purpose of having the “door” on the gate. Eventually she will be large enough that it won’t be an issue but be warned that this can happen. Also, we bought two of these and one of them doesn’t latch easily, we have to push it together every time. The other one latches tightly upon closing every time. In general we really do like these gates it’s just that that one area is too wide for a tiny puppy.

It’s not Defective!

I was so close to calling and complaining because like others, it wouldn’t come together and latch. But I could tell I was missing something. All u have to do is use the tool that comes with it to continue tightening each side until they come together. It seems like it fits without tightening it, that’s why I couldn’t figure out wth was happening- but then I decided to use the tool and voila- it fit together finally! It’s the best purchase I’ve made in a while bc it keeps my dogs contained without having to step over something each time. Also, if u have baseboards and it’s not working, just put the gate right above them- it’s usually not enough space for anything to get out.

Perfect for our home!

We actually bought this for our puppy. We could decide which side the door goes on, and which way we want the door to swing. It was installed within 20 minutes and has been easy to use! Most importantly, it keeps the dog in! This gate is shorter than ones we've had in the past, but our dog will always be small so it's perfect for us. I definitely recommend it!

purchased to keep my pug out of my den area where I work. My husband assembled and installed and said it went up easy. It's very sturdy, with out having to mount it to the wall, and easy to use and it looks great. Very happy with this purchase.

it works

This was a little bit of a hassle to put togeather,the door was not matching up,so we worked on that for about 2 hours,and finally got it,love that gate,its easy to open and close

Very sturdy gate

Wasn’t expecting it to be so sturdy. It’s perfect too because our dog can’t use it as a stepping stone to jump over it like she could do with most other gates.

Sturdy gate

Where has this been all my life!?

Love this product and highly recommend. We are using this as a gate in the hallways for our pets. It has worked wonderfully. Very sturdy and easy to use.

Perfect for my space

Needed a wide gate and this was perfect. It is a bit of a pain to install but you'll realize which ones need to be tightened or loosened once you start playing around with it. It is sturdy and I like that the door will stay open if you push it past 90 degrees.

Quality okay, but the maximum lengthwas a little less than mentioned

The quality is decent overall but it didn’t fit the max width mentioned so I had to make a few adjustments. But I would recommend it if you need something smaller than the max width. I had to add 2 inches of extra planks for the gate to fit

Perfect

I have a wide opening at the top of my stairs. Installed as per directions. My grandson tried to shake the gate and it didn’t move or budge. Very pleased with this gate.

Severe Damage

It came with dents in the screws and a huge unfixable gap to the point it was unable to close. I didn't bother even trying to install it. I just returned it for a refund. Once this covid lockdown ends and stores open again I'll attempt to purchase another one then.
