Works fine.
Small flame, really not great in any wind and cooks pretty slow. The stove is also too light to sit flat with a propane tank attached and no pan on the stove. A pan is enough weight to keep it flat but kind of a pain when using. Would be awesome with a little bigger burner and a bit more weight to keep it flat. Very small and it works, so no real complaints.

Great car camper.
Yes, this stove tilts. Yes, it's rather light weight. However, it's highly compact and has survived several trips already out into the wilderness. It's simple enough to buy a small rig out of plastic or metal that will hold the propane tank (mine is simply an angle strut support purchased from Home Depot for ~$1.50) that the tank sits on top of for support, and I have no issues afterwards. Before I got the strut, I merely elevated the stove so the propane tank could sit completely vertically and had no issues with that either. The 5,500 BTU seems accurate. I am able to set 1.7L water at a rolling boil in about 7 minutes with the weather at about 55-60 degrees. This is faster during warm weather. We used one propane tank for a good 1.5 hours worth and still had plenty left over at the end of the trip. Excellent deal, and more efficient than cooking over camp fires. I plan on buying a second one to store in case of emergencies. No need to buy sets that are more expensive when this will do the trick nicely. I was able to put on a 12" skillet without any balancing issues, I'm sure up to 15 inches will fit fine (though the reach of the heat will be limited.. I would keep it at 12" maximum just for efficiency). I chose this over a butane or mixed fuel just because propane is so much easier to get your hands on, and in a pinch you can also use a blue rhino 5 gallon tank with an adapter to run into this if you want (but that should be stored outside)

Accomplished task and met expectations
I bought this for a short trip where I did not want to take either of my two burner Coleman brand stoves. It worked out terrifically. It is made cheaply, but considering the price point I am satisfied with what I got. It worked very well to heat a small pot of water for pour-over coffee preparation. I also used it with a small cast aluminum non-stick skillet to prepare a couple simple breakfasts that turned out well. It's only been on one short trip so far but it worked out really well. TAKE NOTE: I paid attention to previous reviewers regarding the tipping over aspect of the unit, so prior to my trip I constructed a simple "kick-stand" from a composite shim that I had laying around. It worked out really well.

Stansport single burner propane stove
This single burner stove was not what I'd hoped for. It is not as stable when the propane tank is attached making it flip the burner part up only when you put your skillet on top does it weight it down enough to be a bit safer. Once you remove your skillet the stove tilts up again. Don't feel this is a safe set up!!

Has a strange connector?
I haven't been able to try it out yet because I will be using it with a 20 lb. Propane tank and the hose and regulator that I got at Harbor Freight said it works with Stansport but they don't match up. I've been busy and haven't had time to check and see which one is in error.

Happy cook (with the mod kit)
Very please with the quality and usefulness for my purposes and situation. IMO, this would be marginal for high mtn camping, trying to boil water. However excellent for my set up: Stansport is in a sheltered cooking area. It is connected to a disposable bottle via a UNIVERSAL TORCH EXTENSION HOSE KIT (search Amazon). The kit gives you a valve right on top of the bottle and short hose gives many choices to fit to stove. No tip over as reportes my some. I use heavy cast iron pans to fry or sautéed. The 5000 btu is fine for very low simmer and high temp cooking. Boiling 2 qts of water rapidly on a windy day is not its thing. But for a second "cook" burner with the describe KIT, makes it very versatile. A great value for the money.

Not good for windy day.
It works great for anything pan. But if you no not have anything on it the tank pulls it over. Plus it will not work on a windy day. Need to get a shield to help block the wind.

practical and quality
minimal space needed to pack this when camping; good power and heats up the percolator coffee maker fast - better than the butane burners. Great value for the money.

Excellent small stove
Perfect on our camping trip. Helped feed the four of us happily. I made a little stand for the canister so it wouldn't upend the stove. Took all of 2 minutes to bend an old hanger and I had no issue with it whatsoever.

Very happy with this little stove
Very happy with this little stove, plenty of heat to simmer canned foods or boil water for tea. Quality materials yet still light weight. My only complaint is, as mentioned, it is tippy. The weight of the propane tank will pull it on edge. Simply putting a pot of soup or water on to boil provides enough weight to keep it flat, so just make sure you dial down the gas before lifting the pot off.

dont buy
works ok, arrived quickly. kind of cheap, wont stay up with out a pot on it so keep your eye on it. got my use out of it but will get a better one next trip as I don't want any fires.
