Got to have this with the long drills.

Gotta have one of these is you use a flex bit

It takes a bit of practice, but once you master using this tool, it makes drilling thru wall fire blocks and headers a breeze. The first time I used it, I ended up drilling out thru the sheetrock, but after getting the feel for it, I haven't had an issue since.

Required to guide the long bit when in tight places

Used this to guide bit while drilling in the eaves. Perfect for that only. Need to drill initial hole large enough to fit and this tool. Only 3 stars because it has one purpose and is expensive. Would buy it again if I needed it.

Great Tool

This is a replacement for one of these I had for about fifteen years, and lost. It takes some getting used to, and really works better if you have some one to run the drill while you guide the bit.

Works as advertised

Works as advertised; a bit clunky to use and guide; not a lot of viability to what you are drilling; I guess that is to be expected when drilling down a hole in the wall

A must have if using long auger bits

If your using the long flexible auger bits to drill through multiple studs, or reaching in a wall or floor space, this tool is a must have to flex the bit. Just be careful your keeping your hole spacing within code limits.

Tool worked as needed - very helpful

With the longer bit, your job can be easier with this tool. It helps hold the bit where you want it. For shorter bits, I don't think it is as necessary as your drill is helping you.

Helpful, Not Durable

This tool bent about 15 degrees during its first use. It was helpful to have, but I expected more. I have one more drop to drill, and I'm hoping it survives. 6' "flexible" drill bits still require a lot of force to bend, so I don't know how I could have been more gentle.

A very useful tool for a flexibi

Solid and I'm sure it will be very handy once the flexible drill bit arrives. In hindsight I would have been better getting one of the folding placement tools for storage but this certainly feels like it will last my lifetime at least
