Really strong
I used this to hold the harmonic balancer while I removed a crankshaft bolt that was torqued to 200 lb feet. The strap was luckily just long enough. The teeth never budged and the rubber showed no signs of weakening. I was amazed. This is the one.

Just what I needed for work!
Purchased for use at work. Recommended tool by Sloan website for replacing flush valves in commercial toilets and will not mar the chrome finish. Arrived quickly, very thick and sturdy strap compared to the junk they include in their kits. Makes my job easier!

super strong grip
I bought this to turn faucet handle off. As you see, the handle is slippery, in a tight space and has a slopy side. I can not use any other tool to have a strong grip. The faucet also has coated layer, so a metal wrench would scratch it. This tool works perfect. Even though it can not fully grip the handle due to the shape, the grip is strong enough to finish the work. Great buy.

Slipped on Moen kitchen faucet.
I tried to use this on a Moen gooseneck kitchen faucet. It just kept slipping. I tried putting it around a thick rubber band that I slipped over the part to be loosened. That didn't help. The faucet nut is probably about 1 1/2 in in diameter. Very slick chrome plated. Eventually I just used slip joint pliers. It wasn't that tight. Should have searched more reviews before purchase. Looks to be fairly well made. Maybe will work better on another application.

This is a Robust Rubber Strap Wrench
I got this to adjust the rear shocks on my Harley-Davidson Dyna. It works perfect. The rear shocks have a chrome circular base that is rotated clockwise or counter clockwise to either stiffen or soften the shock spring. This is a no scratch - get it done in a minute solution. The rubber strap is plenty thick for the job!

Good Tool for a very Specific, Unconventional Use
I bought this strap wrench for a very specific, unconventional use. I have an LG Range and the oven bulb burned out. The oven bulb sits at the back of the oven and inside a glass cover. That glass cover extends out about 1 inch. After the bulb burned out and the oven cooled, I tried to unscrew the glass cover to get to the bulb, but it would not budge. I might have had a better grip if I took off the range's oven door but wanted to avoid that. So I ordered this strap wrench. I liked that it was a bit smaller than many others and also like that it had a thick rubber strap. Even with the oven racks removed, there is not much room to work since the glass cover I needed to remove is in the far upper-left corner. It had a good rating so I ordered it. It worked flawlessly. Perfect fit. The size was also perfect. I was able to remove the glass cover pretty easily and the bulb too. Glad I ordered this and highly recommend it. I may never need it again, but it was desperately needed.

Solves problems, saves $$$$
I used this to remove a stuck Grohe shower mixer trim sleeve. If I had been unable to remove it, a major refit of the rough-in mixer would have followed, at great expense of time and money. Definitely a tool to have around. I have also used it on PVC unions with sprinkler valves, and to open jars. A cheap, must-have tool.

Worked, but strap is slippery -- poor grip on small pipe.
First use was in holding 1" pipe without marring, for a conduit cutter. The strap is slippery (not gripping like rubber). Had to twist it at an angle to get grip (which eventually pulls the strap end away from the handle). That ultimately damages the strap -- but it finished the job. If the strap were longer, one could loop it around the pipe several times and grip the end against the handle. Strap seems of good quality, and handle seems durable but the gripper teeth don't seem suited for pipe or any hard surface. Might need a rubber swatch to improve grip by the strap or gripper teeth.

' Contains chemicals known to cause cancer' (on packaging) The rubber stinks to high heaven. You touch it for a few seconds and your hands stink for hours. I won't bother to send it back as I might get poisoned when packing it.

Perfect
Got this to loosen a chrome facet collar that was impossible to do by hand. This was my first time to ever use a strap wrench, and to my surprise the facet collar was loosened by this tool on my first try like it was nothing. The rubber really did its job with no slipping, and the strap locking mechanism also worked perfectly. I also appreciated the extremely easy to open packaging and clear instructions.

frustrated
I am so disapponted at this purchase. I believe this is just a " lid opener " and it shouldn't be named as a wrench. I am trying to change the toilet tank parts. I need a big wrench to remove a big mounting nut so I bought this. This describes " fit any shape" but it isn't. I followed the direction but it never worked. The grip is weak. I was so frustrated and exhausted. I am returning this and I ordered a " real " wrench from Amazon.

Works Ok
Used it to change shower cartridge. Worked but awkward to use as the rubber piece kept coming out
