Nice and thick and NO SMELL!
After using a few different mats, I took a chance on this one. My biggest worries: too thin/not comfortable, and the awful chemical smell that most of these have. Often it feels as if you entered a chemical factory--especially bad if doing yoga with your face right on the mat. GOOD NEWS: this mat had no smell. Can use it out of the bag. Worth buying. TIP: Get a thick one!

Great Pilates Mat
This mat is thick and long and perfect for Pilates. It came highly rated and didn’t disappoint. I don’t have any slipping on this especially when I use my Pilates (Tavi brand) socks. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Investment
I bought this mat in 2017 because I wanted a cushy pad on my hardwood floor for planks, crunches, all fours work, etc. I winced a bit at the price, but I couldn't find anything else that appeared to be as thick as this mat but still supportive. Five years later it's still in almost perfect condition and an absolutely essential piece of equipment for me. I do still use an extra pad under my knees for some things and double up one end to raise my hands a bit for push ups and planks (bad wrists). Overall, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful Pilates mat
If you are doing more advanced Pilates on a hard floor then this is a wonderful mat!! I wish it wasn't so expensive. I tried the much thinner (much less expensive) Merrithew Eco mat but this one is just much better for Pilates. I can't speak to durability because I haven't had it too long, but I'm impressed that the cushioning is firm yet not too squishy like some cheap mats. Also it doesn't stretch as you move like other cheap thick mats do. So I wish it was cheaper, but I think you get what you pay for here. It feels like the mats in professional Pilates studios. So far feels like a huge improvement for my Pilates practice, which I love doing daily.

Perfect for Pilates!
I practice yoga regularly and have a top of the line yoga mat. I can't emphasize this enough - don't use a yoga mat for Pilates! The Stott Pilates mat is exceptional quality and promotes proper alignment and form while doing Pilates. If you use a yoga mat your back will hurt badly while doing leg lifts during Pilates. You are also on your knees a lot. Yoga mats or less expensive Pilates matts won't save your back or knees from unnecessary pressure points. This mat is also very durable and easy to wipe clean. Not slippery at all. With so many mats online it can be difficult to choose among them. This mat is worth every dollar. You will look forward to your workouts rather than dread them on poorer quality mats.

Good thiccness for my workout, recommended. Only down side is packaged with tape and ripped of service parts of the padding..

The name of the product has apparently changed.
The name of the product has changed. However I think it’s still a good product. It’s just not an accurate reflection when they show a display in the ad. The “dents” that appeared to have been caused by some string ties along the way, have nearly completely disappeared after a month. Mine doesn’t have a strong smell. It lies 95% flat when you first unroll it.

Great mat, but needs a strap
The mat is thick and cushy, great for pilates. I would have given it 5 stars had it included a strap for carrying it, because most yoga mat straps aren't long enough to go around it and still leave enough strap to sling over the shoulder.

Not as advertised
These are not Stott Pilates mats but a different brand - Merrithew. They do not have the integrated ties like the Stott mats. It's an OK mat generally, but just not what I ordered. There is no option to contact seller here, so I am thinking of returning.

Very thick. Great for mat pilates. My tailbone doesn't hurt anymore during ab or rolling exercises. Super happy!
