Very Helpful for Trigger Finger

I like these weights because they grip well with the silicone and don't roll away when I'm trying to rest my fingers due to having trigger finger. I highly recommend it.

Happy but concerned customer

The item worked just as I had hoped it would. My only concern is not about any of the item that I have bought in the past or will buy in the future, my concern is with the delivery drivers. I have heard that they are told not to stop specifically to use the restroom but to go in a bucket or bag in their delivery van. I find this disgusting and irresponsible for a company as large as Amazon. I understand that the delivery side is contracted out to private delivery companies but they are following Amazon’s directions. Shame on you Jeff Bezo and Amazon.

Good for pilates mat class

Finally got a set of these for my mat pilates class when taking it online. Does what they are meant to do and good quality!

Good quality, might be large for small hands

These are the newer version of the Stott toning balls. These are larger than the previous versions, not as comfortable to hold but they are better made and cheaper. They come in a storage container with a concave base that prevents them from getting smushed. The quality control also seems better and they are sold in pairs. They are made out of PVC - it's shiny and feels like rubbery vinyl Comparison of old/new toning balls (see pictures) In the old version, two identical balls would feel like different densities/weights. See picture - purple ball is old version, yellow is this product. Purple = 3-5/16" diameter Yellow = 3-1/2" diameter I also purchased the Theraband balls to see which ones I preferred. These are not as large as the Theraband toning balls. The Theraband balls are well made and feel less dense. Ultimately it comes down to size and what feels good for you. I have small hands so the Stott balls worked better.

Shifting sands!

These balls are about 7/8 full of iron sand, so the sand shifts as you move the balls in fitness routines. As mentioned by others, the balls have a sticky feel that seems to come from some sort of leeching of chemical, or? I expected better from Merrithew. They are sturdy and are a better idea over the barbell shaped hand weights.

Soft is good

Love these! The sand inside makes them soft and easy to hold with a relaxed hand grip. One pound adds up when doing multiple repetitions. Also, these are great for rolling out tight back and glute muscles, better than tennis balls. Another reviewer said these look solid in airport security screening, so consider that.

Great Quality ... Beautiful Lime Colour

I already own 1lb and 2lbs weighted balls and now with these 3lbs my workout is more of a challenge. They are very well made, soft to touch and if they deflate a little over time, you can pump them up to its round shape with a bicycle pump and a pin needle attachment (available separately in sporting equipment shops). These came in a nice container, with shaped insert to maintain the rounded shape of the weights. They are filled with some sort of heavy sand and air.

Amazing! Perfect for extension of arms and shoulders

These arrived right on time. I actually pulled the muscle in my right shoulder, and I was having such a tough time thoroughly stretching it out. I was in terrible pain, and I knew it was just a matter of stretching that smallest bit more. These balls allowed me to extend that stretch the needed amount. They are small enough to keep in my desk, and I was planning to keep them at work. When they come back in stock, I am ordering another pair to keep at home too. They fit really well in the palm of my hand and balanced well. I think these would be a wonderful fit to anyone's stretching routine!

Perfect addition to home work out kit

Recently attended a hot yoga class, and this is they type of weights they had... so easy to hold, easy to store... and they are so cute!! Would highly recommend!

Best quality toning balls

This is the brand of toning balls that my barre / pilates studio uses but I originally bought a cheaper alternative toning ball to use at home. When the cheaper alternative arrived, I realised why these are more expensive - you can't really compare the quality. These are a great size to fit in the palm of your hand and the smaller size means that the weight in the balls is concentrated in your hand and doesn't move around the ball when you're using it (which happened with the cheaper option. They will get slightly misshapen with continued use according to how you hold them, but that is to be expected with this style of weight. I wouldn't but another brand now.

Second time I've bought these and again the packaging has ruined them.

These are lovely to handle and feel so much more fluid in handling when doing Pilates and yoga type moves. My problem is with the packaging which has a plastic base to hold the bottom ball and a plastic separator between them, one on top of the other. The bottom ball is squished and marked (having a big protruding udder like shape underneath where it's pushed through the too small base) and no amount if turning it over and weighing it down returns it to its original shape. As the older design of these balls was bigger and not as attractive as these (with a made in Taiwan embossed underneath), I bought another lime 2 pack and again, the bottom ball was misshapen and the top ball had discolouration and speckles on it and felt more loose due to its bigger size. For such a high price I'd expect these to be more uniform in size and quality. Quality control needs addressing as does packaging. Otherwise they'd look good in any room which makes you more likely to pick them up and use them. The colour is very nice too, sort of more appley than in the photo.
