I am a pretty fast player and have had issues with defenders kicking my legs for years. I detest large shin pads because they get in my way and don't necessary like the tape or velcro options as they put too much pressure on my legs. Picky I know. I bought these because they have some padding to deflect some of the blows and of course a place to put my nice small Nike shin guard. The best part? They don't move! AT ALL. Like not even a little bit. These things truly are amazing in what they do. Apart from that there are small bits of cushioning on one side of the sock (I put them on the inside) but you can put them wherever you are kicked most often. The one great thing is that there are pads that cover the ankle bones. So I have these, the new Nike socks that are pretty thick and my Nike mercurial which have the sock like Neck which covers the ankle giving even more support. The best part about all of this is that it is super lightweight, doesn't become cumbersome and adds enough protection where I feel more confident. Keep in mind it is a minute amount of padding. Why don't I give these a five? The fit. They run big. They are okay if you have huge cavs. I bought medium according to the sizing chart on the site and they did not fit me securely enough. I returend after one game and purchase youth large. If you are like me and like everything to fit neatly then go small. If you have normal to large cavs go with the suggested size. If you have giant cavs...God be with you

Excellent sleeve with added protection

This is my 3rd paid of Storelli Leg Sleeves, my other 2 are the shorter calf-length version, which doesn't includes the ankle protection. I play indoor and outdoor soccer, on turf and grass, so I feel I’ve put them through a fair amount of wear. The fabric Storelli uses for these is great! My socks have ripped/torn from sliding, yet these hold up against all the abrasion, and so far are still in very good shape - no holes or tears as of yet (I would estimate having played ~25 games with these). The sleeve is just tight enough to hold the shin guard in place, but not too tight as to cut off circulation (assuming you purchased the correct size sleeve). Normally I tape above and below the shin guards to hold them in place, but with these sleeves, I do not need to use tape. The top of the sleeves are elastic, and have additional rubberized textured grips on the inside to keep them in place - they definitely work! Taking them off is as easy as rolling the sleeve from the top down; don’t try pulling from the bottom...the rubberized inner grip will grip your skin, and you might tear the stitching. As for the additional padding on the ankle and outside rear of the calf, it’s fairly thin, but durable and protective. Please don’t think that padding is as protective as a shin guard, it is not; however, it absolutely helps your calf from a mildly grazing kick, or rough ground that might typically give you a turf burn. Washing - just throw them in the washing machine..super easy! Storelli advises not to dry them in a dryer (I’ve followed these instructions, so I cannot say whether or not these will hold up in a dryer). Do I recommend these? Absolutely Yes! Especially for younger kids who are playing competitively.

Durable, protective, comfortable, practical

As a formerly high-level player who has a little less...mmm..protective meat/muscle on my bones than I used to, I was looking for something that would offer substantial but lightweight padding without messing with how I strike the ball (like bulky ankle gaurds do, in my experience). These fit the bill, and I'm grateful to have them. They are holding up well despite frequent washing. Good moisture-wicking material. Can't think of anything I don't like about them

A good solution for mid/forward soccer players but lacking for defensive players due to lacking lankle protection.

Update: I've been using these for almost a full year now. They've held up relatively well. The elasticity is still the same. You have to hand wash these as they will tear otherwise, luckily mine did not. Just note those make an excellent shinguard holder. Just don't expect it to protect your legs from too much injurt as the foam padding is only for minor scrapes, etc. After a year I just can't see myself playing soccer without these. I just wish they would add some protection to the inside shin areas, to complement the outside. ____________ This is a decent leg guard for protection purposes. At a 20-30 year old playing in a relatively competitive indoor soccer environment I needed something more protective to protect both my ankles as well as to keep my shinguard from moving around in the game. This kept my shinguard in place, but the amount of protection this provides against full sized, competitive adults wasn't that great, and unfortunately it doesn't provide a good alternative to the ankle guards that come with some of the larger shinguards. For a defensive player who gets kicked all around the ankle, achilles, as well as the bottom shin area, I was hoping for some protection in those regions. This only has protection on the left and right ankle areas and lacks else where. For the price I'd expected more. It's worth $30 not $40, and only if you're a mid or forward, not if you're a d that uses ankle guards. It's very lightweight though, and I use this with ankle socks to keep me nimble.

Wonderful leg protection; runs small

My son has been using these for a while now, and loves them. They came highly recommended from a friend of his that has been wearing them for a couple years. I ordered some for my daughter, and she’s excited to start wearing them. My only issue with them is the size chart seems off. My son should wear an adult medium according to the chart, but the large fits him. I ordered the youth small as recommended by the size chart for my daughter, but they’re quite short. I’m returning them and ordering a youth large. Hopefully they’ll fit better and last her for a while. The youth smalls didn’t let her shin guards go all the way in the sleeve. These seem more suited for a 5-6 year old than a skinny 9 year old. She’s not tall for her age, either. My recommendation is to order at least one size up; possibly even two.

calza alla perfezione... ottimo per chi pratica sport anche a livello semi professionistico. peccato che il parastinco non è compreso nella confezione visto il costo e nei dettagli non è menzionato.

Very poor fit

Sizing guide is completely inaccurate as it takes no account of calf size. I bought a size Large as recommended and they are very loose and therefore useless. I now have to send them Bach and re-order. Very frustrating that a supplier in this industry does not have the foresight to see that calf size or measurement is the main factor in fit and function of their product. I also feel that the Nike hyperstrong pad sleeve looks a better product, although the storelli body shield guard 2.0 looks better than this first generation product.
