A better option for splitting.

After many other splints including some custom made splints for my mallet finger. These are a very nice fit. They also feel better touching my other fingers, nice and sleek. To make it more comfortable I cut a small piece of an old Tee-shirt to fit between it and my skin.

A good splint but needs improvement

The material of this splint is perfect. It's not super hard and irritating like a different brand that I purchased. It is comfortable also. What needs to be improved upon is the ventilation. It needs more holes so your finger can breath. It would also be nice if it came in a size 0. I need it for my pinky finger and I've made it work but I do need a smaller size. If you have to wear a splint on your finger 24/7 like I do, I would definitely recommend this. BUT, I had to get my husband to drill more holes in it so my finger could breathe better.

The sizing chart was confusing. I would otherwise give it 5 stars. Had to reorder a larger size.

Did the job!

I had to use this for my broken thumb. It’s nice you can take it on and off easily and change the medical tape that holds it on as needed. It was just a little bit long for my thumb so it dug into the base which caused my skin to be irritated & to peel. Other than that it worked out well giving good support!

The back is split so it pinches together

It pinched my finger I can’t even really wear it anymore because it just kept pinching it’s not a solid piece

Wrong size, but found the right size for you!

I ordered this for a mallet finger injury I sustained recently, just got it today, and it really is a marked improvement over the finger splits from the store, however I did order the wrong size because of a sizing chart I found online. After measuring the size I received I found close to the correct size chart/sizes: Size 1 - (5 cm) Size 2 - (5.5 cm) Size 3 - (5.8 cm) Size 4 - (6.1 cm) Size 5 - (6.3 cm) Size 5.5 - (6.8 cm) Size 6 - (7.3 cm) Size 7 - (8.4 cm) Measure the circumference of your DIP joint for the sizing, my pinky measured 4.5cm and I ordered a size 3 because of a different chart I found(maybe it was for women?) Luckily it I was able to pad it comfortably so that my finger fits appropriately in the splint now. But I still wish I ordered a size 1 from the get go as the size 3 almost fits my thumb which measured 6.2 cm and was bigger than my index which measured 5.5 cm. I may order a size 1 if the size 3 becomes too cumbersome. The sizes I found are for a different brand, brown medical, but they seem to match closely. Hoping the sizing is better for you than me.

It's difficult to fin the correct size

This would have been a good splint if it weren't too large. It doesn't have any parts that get smelly when wet, I wrap tape around it to keep secure. I don't know which size to wear, I ordered size 4 for my middle finger ( I am a small woman ) because of the measurements, but it was too large. I got a refund and would have tried another size, but I finally went to a Doctor, diagnosis of " Jammed Finger", he put on a cast for 8 weeks. If this jammed finger ever reoccurs in another finger,, I'm not going to a Doctor, I'll just try to find the right size splint and wear it for 8 weeks.

Works great with gloves

If you need to still try to work while having Mallet finger then this is great. You will however need something like medical tape to secure it. Good in shower too.
