Works like a charm

This apple peeler works with ease. I have used the metal version for years and this is definitely easier and better by far. The only drawback is that you have to keep the blade clean, or it loses some of its sharpness. Highly recommend :-)

GREAT FOR THE MONEY

This a great peeler for the price. You can peel an apple in just a few seconds. Doesn't work quite as well on very small apples. You will have a bit more to hand peel top and bottom. But it's still worth the purchase if you have multiple apples to do at one time. Please note it will likely arrive in the color red, not clear as pictured. But I didn't buy it to watch the gears turn, so no big deal. It has suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place. But if you are working on anything less than a shiny smooth surface, you will have to hold it in place. The handle will pop off as you're turning it. But this has an easy fix. Just cover the insert piece with a small square of plastic wrap (I used "Press n Seal") before inserting. My order was minus the apple slicer that was supposed to be included. I didn't try to return it after reading other reviewers accounts of frustration with exchanges. I already have a slicer and it wasn't worth it to me. It comes with two blades -- one already attached and one replacement. The blades are very sharp. I wouldn't let the kiddos use it unless you are closely supervising. Four stars for the fall off handle and the missing peeler.

Good tool

I was surprised how well this tool worked. It took a little experimenting to figure it out, but once I did, it saved me so much time peeling apples. It does not do well with soft spots or strangely shaped apples, but overall it is great. There may be a few missed spots, but those can quickly be cut away with a knife. Well worth the money! Mine did not come with the corer/slicer though.

Amazon strikes again

Product is awesome. I paid for shipping. It was sent to my post office. I had to drive 46 miles round trip to get it. How about UPS? They don't have a problem bringing to me! Last time I order from amazon!

Check blade position before use!

Product works as represented AFTER you put the blade on correctly! My peeler came with a blade already installed and an extra blade in the box. The problem was the blade was installed backwards so I initially thought it did not work properly. So for all of you people who are thinking of returning it because it doesn't work, try turning the blade around and it works perfectly. I took off one star because of this irritation! Other than that, it works exactly as shown in the product video.

Good at peeling apple

It doesn't seem very sturdy but it does the job, peeling apples with easy and somewhat easy to clean. I have no trouble with the suction power. Some other reviews said that it can peel potatoes as well, probably a round and small potato. For bigger potatoes, it doesn't work. If you only need to peel apples quickly, this is the product to get. Relatively cheap as well

Slick! - No mess, no fuss!!

I love this apple peeler. Everyone should have one. It works beautifully and takes no time to put together. It really is amazing how quickly you can peel an apple using this gadget! Someone showed me theirs and I immediately came home and ordered one and it works exactly the same way. It's fast, smooth, takes off just the outer skin, you lose none of the apple so if baking pies or preserves, it would be a godsend rather than doing it by hand.

Great invention!

My mother in law has awful arthritis in her hands but loves to bake with apples! I bought her this and she said it is a gamechanger! She only has high reviews about this thing. Definitely recommend if you are someone who has difficulties with your hands.

Less good quality than previous models

This is overall a good peeler for the price. But , not long lasting product. I buy these every few years, because it is impossible to clean inside the unit...so build up over years looks unclean . This model the handle kept coming off the joint during use. Never had that problem in previous model. This may be last time i get this brand
