Works as expect, easy to grip, only issue is that the latch/lock is not the strongest
This hiking stick was something I used for all the Utah National Parks and I got to say it is well worth having. The sticks for the most part are solid build. It is not something you can easily bend. The grip is pretty good. It does get dirty pretty easily and the printing actually rubbed off a bit after day two but that is to be expected. The sticks do have measurement lines to make sure you have even sticks. There are also straps on the handle so you are able to strap the device to your wrists. It is not adjustable so be aware of that. The stick supports a good amount of weight. The device does have a good grip on the bottom so you are able to push the stick into the ground easier. It is not a sharp point so be aware of that. It does a good job for helping me hike up the mountain with extra weight on my back. It helped me balance pretty well. The only thing I did not really like about it is that the latch or lock on the pole extension is not the best. The pole actually shrinks a little bit when you are walking because the latch is not strong enough to hold it in place. Overall this is a good hiking stick so long as you do not put a huge ton amount of weight on it. The reason being is that the stick actually shrinks a little bit as the latch and lock is not the best. The grip on the bottom is great for gripping to most surfaces.

Perfect
These poles worked perfect for hiking. Exactly as described, easy to use and lightweight.

Yay no button
These are not the highest-end poles I've ever had. They do have one feature that I've found to be absolutely critical - the extension is held in place by actual clips that are dogged down, not by a pop-up button. For some reason lots of poles now use a button that pops up if you pull the sections apart hard enough, but the button can look popped even if it's not (in which case your pole will start to collapse if you lean hard), and even if it's popped up the button doesn't provide rotational bracing, so the boot tip will just rotate around as the bottom shaft rotates. These poles don't have that failure mode. Nothing being perfect, the poles don't have a good attachment to hold them together - there is a single simple plastic clip that will work to keep them together in a car trunk or suitcase, but it's not robust enough to buddy one pole onto the other in places where you need only one (I do this often). This can be solved with a couple of strips of velcro, and that's what I'm going to do.

love the poles, hate the cork
I have no issues with the poles, love them, but I hate the cork hand grips so they lose a point. I've used these almost every day for the last two weeks with no issues. Nice sturdy metal, adjusting height is easy with clips which can be tightened with screw head (though I've got arthritic hands so I had some difficulty with that). Love that the measurements, in cm and inches, are written o the poles....very easy to get them both perfectly sized without having to do it over and over again. I'm in Florida so have no use for the snow tips but I've tried the basic rubber ones and they have been sturdy on all the surfaces I've tried. The cork grips are nice to hold, soft and squishy and, at the moment, fine. My issue is that I use these outdoors, where my hands get sweaty and dirty, and that dirt/sweat rubs off on the soft cork. I didn't think about this prior to getting these, only during my first walk when I realized my hands were sweating and the cork was absorbing it did it occur to me. There's no way to clean cork that I know of so I know the grips are soon to become filthy. In Florida, cork also gets sorta moldy and black due to the humidity, and then it eventually dries out due to the heat and crumbles up. I see no way to remove the cork grips to replace them with a new grip when the time comes.

Great set of trekking poles that have done well in MidAtlantia
We are prepping for the Rockies this summer and have been hiking the Eastern US in preparation - and these trekking poles have been great for our teen. They clip in place for height, and we've had to adjust them once because, well, teens grow! The adjustments have been solid, which also works well for upcoming travels. The tip is solid and stays in place with a lot of rocky wedges. These poles have been great for stability when near/crossing water as well as over uneven and rocky terrain. They are comfortable to use with the cork handles and ergonomic grips. They float (only been tested for seconds, though) and are easy to retrieve. We have been well-pleased with these trekking poles - bring on the Rockies!

Only one issue with these…
I love the poles and the ease of adjusting them...I use these for walking around in my desert community, I can push a twig aside and not worry if there is something else lurking there, as I am a safe distance from it. The ONLY thing I can whine about is the cork hand grips, if they were removable and replaceable they would have a solid 6 star item here!! I suppose in time they will figure out this oversight and they will keep these out of the landfill for a longer time. I would suggest these even with the cork issue, as they are a great product and a great price point.

Great to keep in your car to have ready for a hike!
I picked these up because my wife and I have been going on "easy" hikes lately. I am 5'7" and she is 5'11" and we both can use these comfortably. I wish they would compact a little smaller but they are still small enough to fit in a trunk without taking much space.

Suitable Basic Trekking Poles
I bought these to leave in my SUV as a backup set in case I forget my hiking poles. These work great, look great and the price is right.
