Difficult to use

Ok so these molds are difficult to use. They create seams that are not easy to fix. The faces are strange looking and the proportions seem off. They are more trouble than they are worth.

lots of help making fondant people

Always had troble making people for cakes saw this on amazon thought i would give it a shot the shipped fast couldnt wait to try them out so i grabed some fondant and the result was great you will get a good base to start an there is millions of diffrent ways you could go just got to use your brain alittle the moulds will also work with gum paste if your not into cakes can also be used with clay came with a book telling how to gobout making the people also with patterns to help with the clothes very helpfulglad a bought this product

I have not used this mold yet since I usually make my people by hand. I think it will work well. I would definitely purchase other molds from this company because they are made quite well and do come with directions.

I love this...you have to work with it a bit....a tad over priced...but I will get a ton of use out of it!

Although a little pricey, they are a complete set of different size people and can be adjusted to fit the cake you're making to be proportionally correct. Made very well, and I'm very happy. Would recommend this to anyone who has difficulty making people, or who want to do them quickly.

Legs are a bit wonky but other wise once you get the hang of these they are great

Uneven

The torso of the man did not line up with the waist at all. It was much smaller. In the end with a shirt on he just looked too wide, my only saving grace was that he was holding a guitar so this problem area was mostly covered up. I was very careful. I read the whole booklet to start with and I pressed the molds over and over and over etc as the booklet instructs to make the seam as small as possible. I had an exacto knife to cut away excess, ultimately I feel very confident that I did as instructed and it was a faulty mold.

Whilst the moulds had obviously been used before - I just washed them - these molds have delicate fine features which more experienced sugar artists would perhaps want. However for me who wanted more comic style I found the molds great for just getting the outline and proportions of the body/arms/legs right. Then chopped the head off and just used the same amount of icing and added the features I want to the tiny markings left so I had everything in the right place! In my opinion these molds would see you through what ever you wanted to use them for with a little imagination.

Brilliant product!

I am delighted with this product. I have used it with modelling paste to make figures for the top of a communion cake. Easy to use. I would definitely recommend it!
