Price generally determines quality

How much use something is going to get determine what level of quality you want to invest in. Sometimes a product is good for a short time, but the price is so good that it is cheaper to keep replacing the cheap item. I do that with dvd players. I buy the 25 dollar model and it lasts me 18 months as opposed to the 250 types. For me, I know I only needed about 2 weeks on crutches. If I knew I was going to use them for 3-6 months, I would have done a lot more research and some testing. For the price, these crutches were excellent. Solid construction and easy to adjust. I never did any long walks during the first week so can not comment on that, but around the house and short distances they were fine. I liked the armpit cushion being sticky since some days I was alone in the house and I was able to hold a cup or plate in one hand and guide the crutch with my shoulder. The crutch remained in place under my arm. Overall, very happy with this purchase and nice to have a set in the house for any future issues.

High quality, light, and comfortable.

Simple, light and comfortable. I received a set of these from the first aid station when I broke my foot at a local airport. I have used them for 2 months and they are still in very good shape. I am 5'10 1/2 and find the 5'9 setting on these to fit me best, so I think they would probably fit someone an inch or two taller than indicated, if you are right on the border of buying the Adult Large (up to 5'10) or the Adult Tall (5'10+). I thought enough of these that I sought out the exact same product that I had been provided by the first aid station and bought them here on Amazon and had them shipped to the first aid station to replace the ones they had given me. If you find this review helpful, please say so. If not, say that, too. Honest opinions are what make this process work.

Good buy

I wouldn't say I love them. I chose 5 stars because they are pretty much indestructable. With three little ones running around, and trying to play with them, that comes in handy. I purchased these because I am 7 months pregnant and my hip is acting up. There isn't much a doctor can do for me while pregnant, so I can use these to take the pressure of the extra weight off the hip. It has worked out well. As a mother of soon to be 4 kids, I am bound to have one of them need crutches and I am sure these will last for years to come. I would recommend purchasing different grips and under arm pads. The rubber is very hard and can cause friction under your arms.

Almost but not quite.

These crutches are creaky, the pads are minimal, and the grip area was too narrow for my hands. If you're tall and slender with narrow hands, probably these are fine. If you have "wide" palms stay away! I am 6'3" and 300+ lbs. The grip area was too narrow and I have had to "trigger" grip the uprights to use these. This is painful and difficult. I should of shipped these back, but needed them so was pretty much stuck until I got some Millenial In-Motion crutches, which have been great!

Does the job

I have used crutches all my life and have had replace crutches not to often. When I do buy new crutches I usually get rid of the cushions on the handels where your hand would go. The cushions are very wide and make for a loose grips. But these new crutches have a new plastic make that have grooves all around them so if you remove the cushion your hands will get sore from the grip. What I did was put some tape around the plastic when I removed the rubbers. Some times change is not good

Do not buy

We should have known there would be a problem when the crutches arrived in a box for a hammock. It was really beat up. When we opened the box, there was a tag taped to them that said, "DAMAGE - OUTDATED." There was so much tape on them, it took 20 minutes to get it off, and it left a sticky mess. The last straw was that they are shorter than advertised and will not work. Then the icing on the cake is that they cannot be returned. Do not buy anything from this company.

Good quality crutches

This is a decent pair of crutches. Materials are very light (which is great) but also quite sturdy. I would recommend that you check the bolts and nuts once a while to make sure they are fastened, as for any crutches. The first things that gave away were the pads (that broke but were still usable), which you can find replacement on Amazon.

Cheap, for 2-3 days use only

One must remember - you get what you pay for. If you are looking at using it for maximum 4 days, then you may try these. I knew I will be using it just for 4 days. Hence bought this cheaper one. After using these for 2 days, whereever this plastic touches the body, the burning sensation starts. You can't really use it later
