They work with Cuttlebug!

I bought this to emboss using Nestabilities in my Cuttlebug, and they are absolutely necessary to achieve this effect. I have owned and used a Cuttlebug to emboss for several years and have been using the Nestabilities for the last few months. I tried using a plumber's gasket purchased at the hardware store which works with my Fiskars' embossing plates, but it didn't work with the Nestabilities. I have to admit that I was first confused and then very disappointed that I couldn't emboss with my Nestabilities without an additional purchase. I had to go to YouTube to figure all this out as the directions with the Nestabilities are sparse. One important note is that using these and my Fiskars' plates in my Cuttlebug results in a clearer embossing than using the gasket. All in all, I am happy with this purchase.

Worked perfectly for me...

Since I'm the proud owner of a bunch of nestabilities dies and a Sizzix Big Shot machine, it was inevitable that I had to acquire one of these embossing pads. I was a bit freaked out by the reviews on Amazon, because one person got a nasty residue on their paper and someone else got a smaller size. Nevertheless, it seems that one doesn't have a choice, but to take this leap since the nestabilities dies cannot be embossed without it, regardless of the machine that is used. I got the perfect 5x7 size as advertised, and I got absolutely no residue of any sort left on my paper. All in all, I'm a happy camper with this because it embosses perfectly well and it is exactly as advertised. I would like to add that as a word of caution, make sure that the embossing pads are used properly in the machine with the proper "sandwich" and it doesn't have a lot of cardstock piled on top like it says in the nestabilities instruction booklet, because it almost broke my machine piling three pieces. *Two pieces did the trick for me with these embossing pads.*

Great for Embossing

It's great for embossing, but the silicone makes it very easy for hair, dust, and paper bits and fibers to stick to it, giving it an unpleasant 'dirty' feeling/texture. I use it with a Bigkick Vintaj and it fits great, plus I only need one, so I could save the other one in case this one is damaged or give it to a friend.

I was looking for something to use with my Cuttlebug in place of a plate because two plates were two thick. I was trying to use some 3D embossing folders. This worked!

Enlarged embossing pads - Spellbinders

These arrived quite quickly and they do the job nicely. Unfortunately I used them incorrectly and caused them to screw up so they are a little scrunched to say the least. I will continue to use them and then buy a new set later. Next time I will take a bit more care in what I am doing. Otherwise they work well and I am pleased with my purchase.
