One ring... Really??? + TIP

This is a great addition to any Speedminton set as it comes with various speeders for different distance range and purpose. It comes in a durable plastic capsule, which includes a label with pictures to indicate how far and fast each speeder plays (although it doesn't show for Night Speeder). My favorite piece is actually the wind ring, which can be put on any speeder for more wind stability. However, although this product comes with 5 speeders, it only provides 1 wind ring... seriously.. really??? If the speeder with the wind ring goes on top of the roof or gets caught on a tree branch then you are out of luck as you just lost the one and only wind ring it comes with. I feel like this pack should come with 3 wind rings. For this reason, I'm taking away 2 stars (1 star for each wind ring missing). *** TIP *** I really enjoy playing speedminton with my kids but sometimes the speeder is too fast and flies too far for my younger kids so I play with a badminton birdie with the wind ring on it! This gives more distance than a typical badminton birdie while it's not as fast as speeder, making it perfect hybrid solution for my kids. This is another reason why I wish they had included more wind rings. (You can actually buy 2 wind rings for $3 directly from speedmintonusa but shipping costs more than the wind rings itself. Hopefully Amazon will carry the wind rings soon!) Hope this helped and let me know if you have any questions.

Update Oct 2019: I exchange for another one and received the windring. My group absolutely loves these birdie. When we "accidentally" lost one speed birdie playing, 2 members of our group decided to buy back up sets. 1st review: Just received it. In product description and on the package it states there is 1 windring. In the product description its a black ring, it was not in the package. I bought this because we play in a lot of windy weather so I thought this help but there is no ring.

Best birdies

We love our Speedminton rackets, and these birdies are also the best. They are much sturdier than the average birdie and they do fly far! I only had to get new ones because the others had either gotten lost or chewed up by stupid raccoons (our fault for leaving them outside, I know!). They lasted 6+ years, though!!

Nice quarantine sport

Great exercise! And this is a great quarantine sport to play in sparsely occupied open areas. The weighted shuttle zooms fairly well even in windy conditions.

These are the best birdies I've ever had. They fly far and whistle quietly, and the glow sticks are awesome for night or dusk play.

No speedlights in the kit despite what description says

Description says "Speedminton Speedlights are included in each set." I did not receive the speedlights. Other than that, the birdies are solid, heavy, colorful, and work as expected.
