Best shower I've had.

This is the best shower I have had. Disappointed with the cheap feel, but I'm still probably going to end up buying a 2nd one for my other bathroom.

Good choice!

Being an engineer it seems ferreting out which product is best for you without known parameters to compare makes the choice daunting. It seems sometimes you have to buy the wrong one the first time to find out what you should have bought but I hit it right the first time this time with the Speakman. The three things I want in a shower head/handheld shower is quality - no leaks and stays where you aim it and lots of water pressure and an easy way to adjust it. The Speakman is built very well with nice thick gaskets so no Teflon thread tape is even required, although they do supply it if there were only short threads on the spigot coming of your wall. With moderate tightening of all nuts it stays rock solid with no droop in any position you adjust it to. Now, as to pressure, one mfg says 2.0 gpm an the next says 2.5 gpm but at what water pressure??? - no standard used by all mfgs I know of and without this info the flow numbers are meaningless. Most all of today's shower heads also have flow restrictors - fine if you own a motel but if I am paying for the water I resent the state or federal government telling me what I can have. Some mfgs tell you the restrictors can be removed. Spearman does not say anything about restrictors or their removal but in two minutes they can be removed and the resulting increase in flow is remarkable. The first is actually a check valve at the inlet of the hose. Try blowing on this end of the hose and you'll see you can barely force air through it. Needle nose pliers and a narrow flat screw driver can pop it out. Ditto for the actual restrictors at the inlet to the shower heads. They are visible after removing the screen/gasket. I suggest leaving the screens as there is minimal effect on pressure drop and they catch small particles of whatever that can clog the individual little nozzles in the shower heads. There is no easy way to get behind the restrictor to push it out so you have to use some force and wiggling to pull it out. Don't worry about ruining the small plastic restrictor parts inside as they go in the trash after removal and the inside of the shower head is robust and a scratch or two does nothing harmful to the interior of the pipes in the shower heads. When you have removed all interior parts and can see an open pathway thru the pipe into the hose and shower heads, assemble the components per the instructions. Don't be afraid to crank down fairly hard as the components are well built. If you do not want to mess around with removing the restrictors the unit is still probably a good choice but with a couple minutes of work you can have a fire hose at full flow position and can be throttled down to a dribble with a simple turn of the adjustment ring.

Very strong Pressure

I replaced 2 cheap shower heads. One of the old ones had nearly no pressure. The other had a cracked handle. MOST IMPORTANT HINT-- take the old head off and RUN WATER AT FULL SPEED before installing new head to flush all the sedament out of the pipes. My water pressure increased 1000%!!! (I have never done that before when changing heads.. WOW! A difference!) Then, installation was extremely easy. The product even provides the plumber's tape! A few minutes after opening, I had each piece screwed on.. with minimum amount of tightening with my hand or wrench.. Both heads work at the same time or independently depending on how far you turn the knob. They can both be turned off as well. (You may have a few drops though if you do not turn off the water at your water supply handle as well.) Both of my two showers have excellent pressure now. The only things they could improve on are.. I wish the heads were further apart and a more modern design. But, to me water pressure is 1000 times more important than aesthetics. I'm about to purchase 2 more to replace my other shower heads too.

Amazing Water Pressure

This is heads and tails above any shower wand I've used. I'm 6'6" and have always had to install them in showers so I can use the shower normally. The water pressure and dual heads make it the best shower I've had in a very long time. Not joking. That good.

The shower head is probably one of the best I’ve had. I am almost wanting to replace the other two now. The water flow is more than plentiful and the spray pattern covers very well. Not sure on longevity as I just got it but I will adjust my review if it changes.

At First Glance, A great Looking Product.

The Speakman VS-232007 Combo Shower Head was ordered on June 25th and arrived on June 28, 2017. 2 days ahead of schedule. Included in the box is the combination diverter coupling that attaches to the shower supply pipe and the fixed shower head and the hand held shower spray head. Also included is an adaptor that attaches to the shower supply pipe and just the hand held shower head for those who prefer a simpler hookup. The five foot hose for the hand held shower spray head is very flexible and seems to be very good quality. The hose ends are identified with a paper label indicating attachment of one end to the diverter, the other end to the hand held shower head. The instruction sheets failed to mention a small Allen ( hex) key and why it was included. After installing the combination diverter, shower heads and hose, I learned the allen key was required to turn a very small allen screw embedded in the coupling nut the joins the diverter to the shower supply tube. The entire unit will rotate unless that screw is tightened. This is the area of most concern to me. If the small screw does not stop the assembly from rotating during a shower, the water will shoot upwards or off to the left or right and allow the hand held sprayer to fall out of its holder located on side of the diverter.. If it holds up or if it fails within a few days, I will report back and edit this review. At first glance and till now, it seems to be a first rate product. We’ll See.

Great water pressure

I have tried many different shower heads and this one works the best with low water pressure.

So far so good!

Arrived and installed yesterday. So far it has been a solid replacement for our our Speakman dual shower head. Pressure is similar to the previous head. Only issue would be that you have to use extra teflon tape and really tighten down connections to avoid leaking.
