I tested it's strength

I always test a leader or two before actually fishing with them. Usually use a different brand but the 60 LB leaders where breaking at like 20 lbs of pulling force. All Flouro breaks under it's rating, just a sad fact. I tested the soft steel today by slowly pulling them to the breaking point with a digital scale. 80 LB broke at 75LBS 60 LB broke at 57 LBS 30 LB broke at 29.5 LBS Best results I've gotten from any so far. "Time to make leaders." Oh the diameter of each is slightly larger then the other manufacturers. You can look that up on their website

soft steel line is soft, this is like ,,,,,, nor

not supple . like Ande or Izor florocarbon. Many other more soft and supple florocarbons out there

I order 30lb and it's too thick in diameter

Diameter is way too thick than other brand. Maybe use on bottom fishing

Brittle, may be “old” stock

First off, I have used Soft Steel fishing offshore for monster fish for over 20 years. I have seen great product performance in the past. This leader material seems at first glance to be a good product. However, I have consistently lost small fish to tension breakage on this order. Since Soft Steel was acquired I would guess that this has been in the back of a storage warehouse for a number of years in non climate controlled air. It DOES NOT hold up. I’ve lost redfish in the 7-9lbs class on this consistently.

The Only "Stretchable" Fluorocarbon Leader Line Around!

BD "Bloody Decks" did a video review that shows that Fluoro-Stretch "knot strength" is rated at +40% of it's rating! 40lb knotted line wouldn't break at 54lb applied force. Look it up on the internet. Bloody Decks has its own web site & is regarded as one of the best reviewers for fishing gear. I've been using it for 2yrs with no issues and i own most of the line strengths. Extruded from Japan where they're known as the best line producers in the business.
