Mixed Feelings

Unsure how I feel about this device. I purchased it because of the novelty of the attached cryotherapy plate, and while it works, the cooling is short lived and a simple ice roller is going to be a better bet. Like others have mentioned, the sonic vibration is weak and barely perceptible though it nevertheless seems to be doing something as my skin does look a bit clearer and more refined after use. This is my first time using a silicone brush and am curious to know how this compares to a manual silicone cleansing brush.

COLD PLATE IS AWESOME

I use a lot of beauty tools and have tried many different things including the big name brand facial cleansing brush that no longer exists. This is a similar concept, this one claims to be 2x more effective than washing with your hands. It works by sonic vibration, which I never feel is doing as much as the old time face brushes where the head actually rotated. It is not a strong vibration, it's mild. The silicone bristles are supposed to be resistant to bacteria so you don't need to replace the head. I like things done quickly especially when I'm up late and just want my makeup off so I can get to bed so I usually use my hands. The thing that makes me use this brush is the surprisingly great feeling cold metal plate on the back of the head that they call cryotherapy. When I turned this feature on, I noticed the plate fogged up....interesting. When I put it on my skin...wow! It really did feel good and very cold. This is GREAT for puffy eyes where cold to reduce puffiness is always recommended. It's so convenient to have it right there in the bathroom so you don't have to go to the freezer and get one of those rollers or a spoon. Now THAT I will use! It also feels amazing all over your face and will help to seal open pores and just give you a refreshed, alive and awake feeling. This feature alone makes this brush worth it to me.

Pretty decent but pricey

So this product comes with the cleansing brush, with a cold metal plate for soothing/reducing inflammation. I requested this due to the novelty of the cryo plate as I have a silicone scrubby face brush. This brush is no better than the one I got for like $30. Does a decent job for exfoliating a cleansing. The cooling plate feels fantastic on my sensitive skin though I can’t say that I see any real impact on my skin. It’s a fine product but I don’t think the value is there compared to the current list price.

Light vibration, excellent cooling

I really thought I would hate this when I took it out and tested the vibration settings. It barely vibrates on the head. If you press more than very lightly, you don’t feel it at all on your face, just in the handle. I was ready to give it one star. I thought it was a joke. But the next morning I thought, “wow, my skin actually does feel exfoliated, even with that dorky little bit of vibration. Let me give it another try”. And sure enough, a few days later, I am still using it. I think I bump it up at least a half star each time I try it. Despite the weak vibration, my skin feels clean and lightly exfoliated, without feeling scrubbed or raw. I can use my normal skin products and it does lightly foam my cleanser. Only lightly. And I think that’s from the little silicone fingers more than the vibration. The cooling feature is the real treat. I have a stone gua sha that is really nice on my skin, but unless I keep it in the fridge (across the house) it doesn’t stay cold as long as I’d like. It warms up too quickly in my hands. This is the perfect solution. It makes my skin feel cool and refreshed and ready for anything. It doesn’t warm up as you hold it. I’d buy this as a cooling face tool even if it wasn’t a face brush. If it were cheaper because it didn’t need to have as many features, that’d be even better. The one thing I’ll note that keeps me from 5 stars (aside from the lackluster vibration) is the instructions. They seem to be copied from a brush that has interchangeable heads. It says to change the head every 90 days and that each family member can have their own head. It also says that makeup removal will discolor the head but that you can still use it for 90 days. All of these leave me with questions. With a non-interchangeable head, what’s the expected life of this gadget? Is it going to get germy if I share with family? Is it going to get gross and makeup colored? Since I got a discount I still think it was worth it with all these questions, but if I paid the list price I’d definitely want to know the answers to some of these questions before buying.

Cleans, exfolliates, soothes

The issues I have are large pores, excessive rosiness, and aging skin. I ordered the Conair brush primarily to deep clean and exfoliate my face and to reduce clogged pores. Because I use only gentle cleansers on my face, I feel like my skin doesn't get as clean as I would like when removing makeup. Initially I was concerned that the vibration of the brush might irritate and exacerbate my redness in my skin, but this has not been a problem at all. The instructions that came with the tool suggest that you divide your face into 6 regions, (right & left, upper/forehead, middle/checkbones and low/chin) and use the brush to go over each area for 10 seconds. I had not really had any particular cleansing routine previously, and this method does seem like it works well. I feel like my face is cleaner using the Conair brush, and I really love the soothing vibrating massage around my sinus area and cheekbones. It also works for light exfoliation although I haven't seen any difference in my pores or fine wrinkles. Even so, I would recommend using this just for the cleansing and massage if for no other reason.

Soothing Jade Roller

I picked up this jade roller to give it a try since it seems to be all the rage. I find it nice and soothing when using the roller on the face - just like a face massage, so it feels quite nice. Plus, the jade has a cooling feel to it which is enjoyable too. I don't really use any attachment other than the roller - I don't think they feel as good or work as well. The vibration is a fun feature but not one that I find myself using very often. Overall it is nice to try and is relaxing. If you enjoy jade rollers, go ahead and give this one a try.
