Good design, terrible documentation
The jig will do what it is designed and advertised to do. Even at its rather High price point I would have given it four stars had not the description on Amazon been so poor ant the included documentation much, much worse. The item I purchased was discounted for packaging damage, but missing parts were not mentioned (Amazon's problem, not Trend's ) but trend's instructions listed the missing screws as M5 x 8 mm. They are actually M4 x 6 mm. Instructions for assembly consist of pictures but almost no written direction. In particular the mounting method for the anti-tilt shoe is totally obscure. Directions for use are even worse as the pictures showing routed results do not correspond to what the actual result would be. Such an expensive jig should include both accurate description of its capabilities on Amazon and a good set of instructions for both assembly and use! Three stars is generous, 2 1/2 is probably more like it.

First Impressions of Varijig--A comedy of errors
First, please bear in mind I'm fairly inexperienced at woodworking. My ambitions are larger than my abilities. Ok, so I get my Varijig. I take it out to the shop and try it out. First thing I discover is you must use router bushings with this tool. You cannot use a pattern following bit because the extrusion is too thick. The bearing edge width on my pattern following bit is only a about 3/16".A The Varijig extrusion is about 1/2". The pattern following bit just seems too risky, although I admit I haven't tried it. Crap. Easy fix but it takes a day to get the proper equipment. In my absurdly large, old and heavy F2000E router that I bought 20+ years ago, I need a bit with at least 2" of cutting length to clear the the (1) nut that holds bushing in place to the bushing adapter plate and (2) the thickness of the Varijig extrusion. So I get all that set up and rout my first edge with the jig. Wow! Smooth, perfect, everything I could hope for. I go for the second edge...disaster. Somehow, for reasons I haven't yet fully figured out, the router CUT INTO my jig extrusion, badly damaging it, and making a mess out of my workpiece. Not Trend's fault, I'll order a new extrusion to replace it, but in the meanwhile I will just flip it over and use the undamaged edge, after spending the evening contemplating how in the heck that happened in the first place. I think I figured out my error with the jig, so it's NOT the Varijig's fault. A couple of nitpicks: First, the please make the nut plates used to secure the frame connector plates (?) to the extrusions so that two of them put together automatically equal the exact width of the hole spacing in the connector plates. Also, Trend would be doing its users a great favor if hey replaced the tiny little screws used to hold the connector plates to the nut plates with trapped screws, so that once installed they don't come out. Lastly, the custom made clamps that slide into the extrusion are absolutely necessary, buy 4 of them (they come in sets of two). Trying to hold it place with other clamps is just awkward as hell. So it's a good tool but not the be all end all I was hoping for. I guess I'll have to develop skills...sigh.

Worked great
Worked great, nice square corners, hold shape well, the ruler is useless - you will need to have one to make accurate holes

I’d buy it again..
Overall this is a good unit. The frame holds its position where it is set and makes repeated cuts very convenient. I did find that the measurement markings are on a sliding paper which I need to make sure is aligned correctly before securing and the screws feel a little flimsy for frequent long term use, like I’ll strip them out if I tighten too hard. A good square is needed for verifying that the jig is ready for cutting, but that should be checked anyway. Once set this is a real time saver, and the screws hold tight with just a snug turn of the screwdriver. I use this for cutting out leather and it makes it much more accurate than measuring with just a square as it doesn’t allow the leather to move while marking the cut lines.

Decent but rulers suck
Decent jig. I got it for the rulers but they always slide around so I'm taking it down a star. Otherwise works fine as it's pretty basic. Anyone having trouble with it should probably move on from carpentry.

I'm terrified of loosing the others as I'm not sure how easy it'd be to get replacements
Overall this is exactly what I wanted. MUCH cheaper than other alternatives. My only two complaints are that the screws used to lock the jig into place are tiny... I lost one... I'm terrified of loosing the others as I'm not sure how easy it'd be to get replacements. That, and the ruler inserts slide around a ton. A small piece of tape or something holds them down, but I don't really use them as it's hard to transfer dimensions from the center-mounted tape to the inside of the jig anyways. I end up using other measuring tools anyways. Those minor issues aside... I would totally buy again!

Good for small jobs
Was brought to replace home made jig used for kitchen fitting. It good but sad to say not big enough for sink cutouts and clamps to small. I've had to purchase extra parts to make it fit for purpose as a kitchen jig. Build quality as expected from trend it's strong sturdy accurate and simple to use

Quite big
It works well but was a lot bigger than I expected. I've got what I consider to be a reasonably sized work bench but this thing was bigger and I had to be very careful not to disturb it when walking around. To be fair I was using it for relatively small squares (120mm). Having said all that it is a very useful bit of kit and well engineered.

Well made
I use it with my router and my impression is it is a well thought out design.

Great jig
Very sturdy once put together. Instructions easy to follow and definitely provides a great edge when using the jig

Not worth the money
Once you put it together it’s not easy to adjust and lubricants are not recommended. The guide block did not fit my router base, it’s would appear that it’s only suitable for Trend Routers, the other annoying this is that I thought it would be useful for routing out hob cut outs in worktops but because the legs stick out when reduced in size you can’t use it if the worktop is in situ.
