These nails are listed as 8D - they are NOT! 8D = 10 gauge, these: 14 gauge 8D = .134 shank, these: .092 shank 8D = 9/32" head, these: 3/32" head

Bending strength

Used in cedar to keep wood from staining.nails bent ,not all but not the same quality of material as they used to be when made in the USA. The shank thickness is thinner now.

Maybe good, doesn't replace aluminum ones

bought to replace the siding nails that were coming out on my house. The existing nails were threaded aluminum, a good idea but, too short at 1 3/4 inch. I couldn't find longer aluminum ones so I ordered these. These are smaller in diameter .92 vs .100 and the head is smaller .165 vs .190. SO I could not put these back in the same holes which is what I hoped to do. I do not know which size is correct. The building supply store told me the Aluminum ones I had were 8 d. So I ordered these. But the original are fatter than these. Also the narrower head means it doesn't pull down the clapboard, it sinks below when trying to put it into the old hole. For driving a fresh hole they are ok but a wider head would hold the clapboard down better I would think

Good quality, exactly what was needed for the job

If you need these nails, you know it, and these do the job. I was installing cedar siding so stainless steel was a must, so I knew I would have a few limitations due to the nature of the material. Had very little issue with them bending, in a couple cases I predrilled to be safe. Overall, good value and did the job.

Very Pleased

I had to replace some wood siding on our home. Unfortunately the profile is no longer available and I had to have it custom milled. The original construction used a similar nail and they weren't available at our home center. Based on other comments, I was careful while driving them, but didn't bend a single one. I've been very pleased with these and would absolutely use them again.

Excelent, but you gotta hit 'em straight.

Good product. Yes they are thin, but that keeps the wood from cracking. Your hammer blows have to be dead on or it will bend, and if it does, you'll not be able to straighten it. Don't even try, just pull it out and replace it. You'll notice how well they "stick". Yes, they are delicate, yes they work great. And they are easy to counter sink and fill. Much better than galvo twist nails.

Sometimes too long. Had to snip off some. Poor size range in this nail. Expensive.

Just the thing for cedar shingles

SS isn't cheap, but nothing else will do for cedar shingles. They worked great

It used to be a better product

Much smaller head on them. And a weaker shank. For the price, I was disappointed in the quality.
