Used for staining a cedar fence.
This is a basic paint brush, it works just fine staining a cedar fence.

Good tire shine brush
The media could not be loaded. I know it’s for house painting but it works great for automotive industry for tire shine it did have a lot of tiny fibers left over so I did have to use compressed air to get rid of the fuzzies

Roller.....what roller....I hate stipple!
I bought this pad painter because of the solid handle over the Shur-line model with an adjustable handle. The poor quality of material choice for the adjustable handle had made it impossible to handle(pardon the pun!) The handle would shift and would be a constant fight to keep it in the place required for the application. Plastic(more accurately....MILK JUG Plastic) can't take the strain of using a pad when painting large areas. This handle I use is at least rigid enough to take the painting stresses without a fight. Now... if you haven't used a paint pad before, it is superior to rolling. No stipple, no splatter on hands, arms floors, glass. A nice smooth finish that looks great. But there are caveats to this device. First, you will expend more energy in an application, the drag on the surface being painted is greater than rolling because it applying paint to the surface as a film and not splotches requiring repetitious rolling. But.... when loading the pad, one must remember that excessive pressure on the pad that is properly loaded will cause drops. Yes, there is a learning curve to its use but with the finish rendered, it is worth the time. No method is perfect, spraying is the most smooth but who wants to spend more time extensively masking, drop clothing, costuming up so you don't look like the finish you are trying to get ON THE WALLS and NOT ME.....not to mention the cleanup! I am repainting the interior of my home with the pad, the finished product makes it worth it!.... A word of warning with ceilings... the ceiling paint already existing(if flat finished) will grab the pad and pull the paint in like a sponge making more drag on the pad. Also, it will possibly require another coat after drying due to the stroke paths left by the grabbing of the paint pad. If you want a smooth even finish, it will be an almost certainty. (Smooth ceilings. For stippled or textured surfaces, use a thick roller and be prepared for speckles, and fun times all around!) Have fun painting a different way! (Remember.....learning curve!)

there is a better product
instead of this i used a foam roller works much better and the foam roller makes up for un even follr boards where the flat one does not .

Handle not threaded
Although the description says the handle is threaded to accommodate an extension pole, it is not. Started my project later than expected. Discovered I could not use with a pole after the return period had passed.

it works but essentially a disposable product
Listen, i’ve literally tried every single paint pad applicator product from Shurline (not a professional- just a depressed girl going through an existential crisis that decided to renovate her entire place on a whim at 3AM) but they all have a few things in common: • they rip • the refills never seem to stay on the applicator (i’ve been having to use duct tape to keep them on) • about as durable as those cheap & disposable foam craft brushes that always tear after 10 min of use Bottom Line: They work; my only problem with Shurline products is that they’re overpriced for what they are. I consider each applicator (including the pad) a one time use because the refills do NOT stay on. I actually recommend getting the Shurline Handi Painter - essentially the same thing but it’s $2.99 and actually held up a lot longer than the 7” and 9” applicators (but it is made with foam)

A bit disappointing
I needed a paint pad to paint the exterior second floor of my home. I attached this to an extension pole so I could reach the farthest areas of the second story. But, this pad DOES NOT flex or pivot so it is not good for someone reaching high and trying to paint upper floors. I regret this purchase and had to run to the hardware store in the middle of the paint job in order to find and buy a pivoting, flexing paint pad.

Makes a difficult job easy
We tried this pad for the first time this past week. It worked extremely well with applying stain to our deck.

A must buy for any deck staining!
These pads are amazing. Last time I stained my deck, I was on my hands and knees with a brush. What a chore. These sureline pads are inexpensive and time saving. Works like a dream. Just dip it in a paint tray with the stain and drag it over the wood. That simple. Be sure to go back over the area you started to make sure no excess stain is pooling. You can even use this on railings if you are careful. Pushing on the foam will expell a good amount of stain that has been sucked up by the pad. So make sure if you push you are quick to mop up excess to avoid leaving drip marks. I have bought 5 replacements for future stain applications in case these are no longer sold in the future. Their small stain applicator for around edges, railings rods and tights corners is a good add on for touch ups!

It’s good if you have a big flat wall to paint
Works much faster then a roller. More coverage. Just not easy to maneuver

Good product
Works well but I would suggest getting the one with the little tab on it to get in between boards. But if your just looking to do a flat surface works great

The fibers continually sticking to the finish
Absolutely do not recommend this product for fine woodworking finishing projects. Tried using tape to remove loose fibers. After ten taping sessions, the same high amount of fibers sticking to the tape did not diminish.

No me gustó mucho, necesitas cierta inclinación y espacio. Me gusta que no absorbe mucha pintura. No pinta bien esquinas.
