Better than expected

Much bigger and sturdier than expected! Purchased as decoration for son’s birthday part but I know they will use it much more and have football games in the backyard.

Buy If You Like Things That Topple Over

Very unsteady. We've tried putting water & sand in the base to see if either would increase stability. Unfortunately, neither worked. Too expensive to constantly pick up every time the football touches it or the wind blows. Look elsewhere.

It needs to be tacked down with rope and stakes

We used it at his 12 th birthday party. They played flag football in our front yard! He thought to was great! My husband wrapped rope and tided it down with stakes. Fun times.

These were so simple to put together and my son is obsessed. He’s so into football right now and this will be fun to help him practice in the summer.

Fun trunk or treat

Used this for a trunk or treat. Easy to put together, super light weight. Filled the bottom with 3 bottles of water and it stayed up without difficulty. Kids loved it. Can’t wait to use them in the backyard at thanksgiving for a backyard football game! Comes as a set of 2.

Great item for some TEMPORARY Fun!!!

This goal post is very easy to set up with no tools required. Slides together and the instructions are clear. Once together your kid will love the challenge of kicking one through the uprights! You can see them getting better on each try. Then they finally get it! The kick is good!!! That's when it all goes downhill from here. As other reviewers have stated: "The plastic on this goal post is extremely fragile". If your kid uses a real football, not a nerf ball expect for it to crack by the silver spring where it connects. Thank God it comes with two, so you can save the parts for once it's get's broken. I bet the house, one will definitely get broken on you! Unless you never use the goal post. So it's fun, but extremely fragile, so expect to replace it very soon. In the meantime, enjoy yourself some TEMPORARY Fun with your kid!

On the fence

This one is hard for me to rate. First it is the perfect size for my 6 year old football fanatic. But they are a very good size; maybe 5 1/2 feet or more at the top of the posts. They have a definite “wow” factor for a kid his age. They are light weight & easy to move (without the water or sand in the bottom). Now the bad...the bars are straight until you put them together then they kind of sink & wobble. I think I’m just going to duct tape them to make them sturdy. Also, I received 3 “E” pieces and 3 “F” pieces so was unable to put them together. I’m really glad it wasn’t something that I wanted to be set up Christmas morning or that would have been a major disappointment on Christmas Eve. Franklin was quick to respond to my email & matter of fact in their response “sending new E piece” which was received 3 days later. Another plus was that it was super easy to put together. So if you don’t have high expectations and have an easy going 5, 6, 7 year old and don’t mind missing pieces and possibly using duct tape, I would definitely recommend.
